WE ARE EQUAL IN OUR TRIBAL CAPACITY FOR TRANSCENDENCE

There are good Jews bad Jews, good Christians, bad Christians, good and bad in each race, and good and bad everyone. A quote from my favorite Rabbi and a man I love dearly, and always will.

We can use the positive or we can exercise the negative. In the matters of good and bad, we can suppress parasitism, and advance our family and tribe. We need not treat groups as negative, only seek to advance our kin as a positive.

The logical conflict occurs whenever any group attempts to assert universalism. But any universalism (equality) will sort groups into natural orders according to the median of their abilities – and force them to function by those natural orders according to the median of their abilities.

The only universal law of cooperation between groups is not to force others to bear costs, while advancing your kin toward transcendence.

The mandate that we are in fact equal forces us not to be.

    THE PLACE FOR RELIGIOUS ARGUMENT

There is no authority in religious wisdom, only advice – despite the demand of clerics and devotees.

The use of religious, moral, historical and empirical argument is always the same:

In the absence of clear choices, if the empirical fails, the historical fails, then the moral and religious are the best-tested experience that we can rely upon.

The meek will not inherit the earth. But for the meek it is good wisdom that they should act in their long term interests anyway, as it will always, as a group, advance their interests against the strong.

There is no authority other than consequence.

Consequence in the now, soon, later, and long term.

  • DEAR MR PUTIN, RUSSIAN STRATEGIC INTELLECTUALS, AND DEVOTED FOLLOWERS OF HIS LEA

DEAR MR PUTIN, RUSSIAN STRATEGIC INTELLECTUALS, AND DEVOTED FOLLOWERS OF HIS LEADERSHIP: THIS IS AN OPPORTUNE TIME

Given Turkey’s crisis: it appears an opportune time to consider resurrecting the old plan to restore Orthodox Civilization – and retake Constantinople and the Bosphorus.

Any such ambition would, unfortunately, create a rhetorical conflict between your universal position against rebellion, and the reasons you must use to advance Russian interests by defending against the expansion of a hostile Islamist territory to the south – and one that is the prime candidate for the core state of Islam, retaking the Bosphorus and obtaining the naval route to the Mediterranean and gulf, and restoring Orthodoxy to it’s position as the dominant influence in Christendom, thereby insulating Christendom from the immorality of western hedonism.

The ancient order of civilizations is reasserting itself now that the wave of consumer capitalism has exhausted itself, and access to western consumerism, finance, medicine, technology no longer requires western political compromise.

Sponsoring a Polish-Ukrainian-Hungarian-Slovenian eastern European civilization with their catholic and European higher trust sensibilities and with Poland as the core state will be more effective than driving those countries into Europe defensively, or attempting to integrate them into lower trust more authoritarian Russian civilization. It is difficult for Russians to accept that their civilization still lags eastern European in the development of diversified economy and culture even if not in state, and military, but this difference prevents any incorporation of those states into the sphere of influence of Russian authoritarian culture.

It is also difficult for low trust Russians to empower a borderland as a means of defense against the anglo empire that causes the moral and cultural corrosion in Christendom. Because the Russian mind cannot bear the thought of lacking control.

But this exchange is certainly worth the ease with which Russia could both eliminate western cultural encroachment, and at the same time expand Russian territory, culture, trade, and economy into the Maritimes over an unstoppable land route.

Furthermore, reconquest and re-Christianization of the center of Orthodox civilization would right a moral, cultural, and military wrong that should never have gone unmet or unpunished.

This action would transform Russia from the poor-man of Christendom to its savior, and reinsulate Christendom from the expanding threat of islam. This would cement Russian heroism for five hundred years, and reverse the taint of communism.

The internal problem remains the unhelpful dependence upon Chechens for the security services, and the maintenance of the drug trade and black market. Although in the present era with the revitalized military in progress, despite the delays the loss of the Donbas Basin production facilities, every day that passes decreases that dependency.

Russians need to feel vindicated and to restore their perceived place in history and the time is rapidly approaching where this act of heroism will be possible.

The west is a paper tiger. Request to purchase The Donbas and the Crimea from Ukraine for a 100year 20% discount on petroleum. This will be impossible for Ukraine to resist and solidify her relationship economically. Apologize for taking the strategic initiative out of fear of nato capture of the bases. In a time of confusion it was the only rational thing to do.

The world will forgive this ‘indiscretion’ if you take this approach. Strategy in necessary self-interest is different from profiteering on the frailty of others.

Negotiate with eastern territories and be willing to arm them in order to provide them long term security from fear of Russian invasion or conquest.

Move forces to the south. Agitate, and do what Russians do best: exert their will in furtherance of Russian Civilization and the moral mission to restore orthodoxy from its conquest by Islam. Russia has no friend in the west perhaps. she has no friend in china for certain. She has only limited friendship on her southern border. In a world with few friends, it is better to make them unnecessary. And access to the Maritimes and the restoration of Orthodoxy will eliminate the need for friends.

    Cheers.

  • MORE ON OUR LIMITED PERCEPTION AND NEW NECESSARY SUPPRESSION (important piece) J

MORE ON OUR LIMITED PERCEPTION AND NEW NECESSARY SUPPRESSION

    (important piece)

Just as any sufficiently advanced technology appears to be magic even to the scientist, any sufficiently advanced form of reasoning appears to be deception or conspiracy to those of limited ability. Or more generalized, we are all limited in our abilities.

And we all want concepts reduced to terms which we can grasp within our abilities. And it is irrational to expect humans to behave otherwise, since doing otherwise would require belief and trust, not understanding and consent.

Ergo the purpose of most (moral) intellectuals is to make trust possible given advances in our knowledge. Likewise, it is the purpose of most immoral intellectuals to create deception, ideology, pseudoscientific belief.

Unfortunately, it is much more expensive to manufacture and distribute uncomfortable truth than comfortable deceit. Hence why we must raise the cost of wishful thinking, suggestion, and deceit, just as we have raised the cost of fraud, theft and violence.

Because while in the ancient past nearly all theft was physical and visible, today, most theft invisible by indirection, and perpetuated by wishful thinking, suggestion, pseudoscience and deceit.

While it is true that we have reduced violence and theft, we have just shifted the means of parasitism from the visible and physical to the invisible and monetary.

Ergo we must now concentrate the same efforts that we expended upon suppression of violence, theft and fraud, and now to the to the suppression of wishful thinking, suggestion, pseudoscience, and deceit.

It is this change from moral consensus on common action to amoral criticism of collective argument that the philosophers of the 19th and 20th centuries failed to solve.

We spent most of our history trying to rally kin, but our challenge in modernity is to prevent not only kin but the entire world from parasitism via violence, theft, fraud, wishful thinking, suggestion, pseudoscience, and deceit.

And we must make this transition from the directly perceivable confirmation to indirectly perceivable criticism for the same reason we have transitioned into the use of sciences in all other manner and method of inquiry: because not only is the actionable physical world beyond our direct perception, but beginning in the industrial revolution, the actionable moral (cooperative) world is beyond our perception – and the methods by which we prey upon each other also moved beyond our perception.

And we failed until now to construct institutions that prevented the newly evolved means of parasitism from violating our historical sanctity of natural law once the new technology exceeded our abilities and perceptions, and institutions.

In other words, pseudoscience has reached the status of magic and we must debunk that pseudoscience just as we debunked it’s predecessor scriptural mysticism.

Thankfully, we can now debunk these fraudulent actions by demanding warranty of due diligence against error, bias, wishful thinking, suggestion, pseudoscience, and deceit.

By demanding the incremental warranties of categorical consistency, internal (logical) consistency, external (empirical ) consistency, existential (operational) consistency, and the tests of boundaries we call full accounting (scope), limits, and parsimony.

And without this warranty one may not make truth claims or advocate property use or transfer in the public commons.

It is this requirement that must be added to our constitutions of natural law, along with the demand for strict construction, that will make prosecution of those who fail to perform due diligence before publication of information into the commons, just as we prosecute those who pollute or poison air, land, sea, crop, production, or any other common asset of man.

WHAT’S MISSING FROM THE TEN COMMANDMENTS?

@curtdoolittle —“We could live only by 10 commandments refined.”–

The 10 commandments did not tell us how to speak the truth, only that we should not lie, steal, kill. That is its failing.

That the commandments (truths) were delivered to us by lies, does not help us either. Natural law says the same truthfully.

That said, we may state the ten commandments as natural law discovered by empirical research using common law.

But we must tell men how to speak truthfully for it is unnatural to them. Language evolved to negotiate, not speak truth

Western man needs no lies. Truth is our weapon, not deceit. Even deceit with good intent produces negative externalities.

MAYBE SOME PEOPLE CATCH ON = BUT OTHERS DONT: UNITY BY TRADE.

    (important)

I have to continue to crush the Rothbardian fallacy just like I have to continue to crush the neocon fallacy, and the postmodern fallacy. The socialist fallacy has been crushed. And we are in the process of crushing the Keynesian fallacy and the democratic fallacy.

But to unite libertarians both artisanal, bourgeoisie and martial, I have to kill off the competing lies. Why? because the truth is uncomfortable for each of us. But it is only the truth that illustrates our common goals, and the high cost we must each pay to create liberty by the organized use of violence to deny it to others.

And in that organization we must understand we must each sacrifice class perfection in order to achieve class maximum good: the artisan, the bourgeoisie, and the martial must limit their gains to that which imposes no cost upon the other two.

To be an army we must obey the natural law discovered by warriors: impose no cost upon your brothers.

We insure one another’s property. All of it. In every form. That which one expends his life’s efforts upon determines his investment in his property. The scale of that investment is not determined by his efforts, but by its value to others in providing incentives to change state of the universe from the current condition to one more favorable.

So between effort and scale we know value exists. But even if we have difficulty measuring it other than by comparison, that value is never zero, and as such must be respected.

This is the reciprocal exchange of insurance of property between warriors that creates the institution of property and if sufficiently rigorous, the condition of liberty.

And no other means exists by which to construct either.

Liberty cannot be obtained by permission, only by construction.

INDIVIDUAL MAN THE ANIMAL, WARRIOR MAN THE HUMAN.

Men. You are disposable to women, and disposable to politicians, and disposable to intellectuals.

The only brothers you have, to whom you are not disposable are brothers in arms, the sergeants, captains, and generals who depend upon you. And the generations of warriors before you, and those that may yet follow you if you do not fail.

As individuals only your brothers need you.

As a collection of warriors we are all indispensable to all.

Our value is in our numbers: our brothers in arms.

The natural order of men is the hunter and the warrior – our bourgeoise luxuries and comforts are a privilege of the good life prior warriors have made possible for us.

But just as women abuse this luxury, we do also.

If you will not fight for Liberty, and if you will not join and forever remain a member of the fraternity of generals, warriors, and soldiers then you will eventually pay the cost in life culture and genes of failing to maintain the first commons if men: the initiative brotherhood of warriors from which man arises from animal.

  • IMPORTANT: WHY DO CENTRAL BANKS USE INTERMEDIARIES? —“Question: why do central

IMPORTANT: WHY DO CENTRAL BANKS USE INTERMEDIARIES?

—“Question: why do central banks continue to do stimulus through intermediaries like banks when they can wire the money directly to consumers? Eg. by issuing them with prepaid cards to spend?”— Ayelam

I am not an econometrician but I suspect I’ll hold my own against any living econometric economist on this subject:

The answer consists of the following components:

    (1) The distribution of physical money through the banks was a necessity.

(2 )There was no other distribution channel available until perhaps 20 years ago at the earliest. (I remember how hard it was to get people to use credit cards).

    (3) Digital money is actually not a very old technology and we have just recently begun to understand it.Governments move very slowly and this will disrupt the entire economy in (good) ways that will totally fuck the institutional investors that fund DC campaigns with ill-gotten gains unearned, since they merely distribute a costless good to the highest bidder for a commission. They are auctioneers. That is all.

    (4) The banker/crediting agency investigates the probability and insures the probability that the debt will be repaid. This INSURER function is actually what bankers do: insure the shareholders (citizens) that their fiat money (shares) are used judiciously. This argument has increasingly become specious because we have such accurate actuarial data now that we can predict the performance of a bucket of consumers with nearly perfect accuracy.

4A) It benefits the various rent seekers and politicians if all fiscal(spending) stimulus to the economy is provided by government to government suppliers just as all monetary stimulus is distributed through the financial sectors. What would happen to the construction of high cost government projects when consumers were able to say “but I could have used that money here at home?”.

    (5) There is a (mistaken) belief that the time value of productivity for the purpose of consumption (consumer income) needs interest for calculation purposes just as business and industry need interest for economic calculation purposes. This is a long conversation but I don’t see how consumption is any kind of entrepreneurial risk. it’s the cause of entrepreneurial risk.

    (6) The very idea was kind of poisoned by the MMT crowd. Particularly – we do not know the impact it would have on interest rates. And at present interest rates are the metric that the world uses to control the ‘price’ of money(which is not driven by cost of production), by regulating its ‘manufacture’ by states. Without interest rates we need another measure. This measure has been in dispute for many years, with some favoring some sort of purchasing power metric, and others favoring some productivity metric, and others some ‘growth’ metric. But if money loses its intertemporal predictability then economic calculation of contracts over any period of time increases and with that, the cost of all production, and therefore all prices, increases rapidly. (remember that money = influence that saves time and is therefore a store of time-in-production. Fiat money issued as credit money is a risk that the time will be more than saved over the interim period.

    (7) The moral hazard of distributing directly to consumers is frightening because unlike market activity, where people blame employers and the economy when activity shrinks and so does their income, we are fearful that people will change from living paycheck to variable paycheck, to living from monetary distribution to monetary distribution but retaliate politically against the government in the case of shrinking. Thereby all but making total communism a deterministic outcome – which is why some of the left advocate for it.

    (8) With the advent of leftist influence on the judiciary, it is no longer a social science bound by natural laws. So we have no means of putting such a policy into the constitution such that it’s immutable. Thereby eliminating the hazards articulated above.

    (9) I was nobody in 2008-2009 when I was talking about it, but as far as I know Galbraith was the only mainstream guy who articulated this problem correctly, and he correctly advocated the direct payment of mortgage debt. It would have price stabilized the world economy. But it would have fucked (undeserving) institutional debt-holders the same way greek debt holders were fucked. (His death was untimely) And conservatives (wrongly) thought it created a moral hazard (which would have been solved by giving people credit lines who had acted properly, and credit lines to those people over the next x years who were able to buy a house. ) I’ve also recommended limiting mortgages to 15 years in order to limit this problem further. Why? all increases in salary are eventually absorbed by housing prices and redistributed to long term property holders (indirect retirement savings accounts ).

    (10) So net net, we can buy or nationalize the ( worst )credit card company (mastercard), and distribute liquidity directly to consumers, as long as we put constitutional safeguards in place, and as long as the amount is dependent upon the overall economy. And let industry and business determine the interest rate, which should drop dramaticlaly if we reidstribute to consumers.

Because the truth is that fiat currency is such an advantage that a people cannot compete without it.

Competing currencies and commodities exist but they are not anywhere near as price stabilized as fiat money CAN be.

So we are always going to have it. Probably digital will replace it and it will have to because the abuse of it has gotten out of hand.

What real purpose does government debt serve over simply printing money and paying with it?

You pay the price of interest in order to delay the equlibrial neutrality of money working through the economy.

In other words, the faster new money moves the faster prices in the existing cycle of production adjust.

Fast adjustment is bad if it interferes with production ( planning ) cycles.

So instead we pay interest and sell government debt so that we inflate away the interest at about the same rate that prices adjust in the economy.

If you understand it it seems ridiculous. A clever network of lies not really different from religin. i

  • Business isn’t anything like the infantry, other than engineering public works.

Business isn’t anything like the infantry, other than engineering public works.

It bears little resemblance to the work of officers only in bureaucracies.

And it begins to be similar when one compares the work of most work to that if high level officers and politicians.

    Major reasons are:

    1) Emphasis on reward vs risk.

    2) Emphasis on defection ( competition ) vs duty ( loyalty )

For the lower classes risk mitigation, direction and loyalty provide security. They think in controlling costs.

For the upper classes reward opportunities, innovation, and defection provide security. They thin in creating opportunities.

    This is fairly obvious.

What is not obvious is contrasting the difference in bonds which decreases as one increases in rank precisely because it limits opportunity.

In other words politicians have the inverse incentives of soldiers.

And business people have the approximate incentives of high ranking officers.

And labor had the approximate incentives of low level officers.

And the underclasses have the incentives of soldiers.

And not surprisingly that’s how demographics tend to work out.

    Incentives.

(watching Mr Robot, and they have the character profile down so perfectly, it’s scary – they must be on the spectrum, or have done a lot of research. Autism isn’t related to schizophrenia, and I haven’t had any form of hallucination that wasn’t induced by recreational chemical entertainment – but the problem of ‘mind management’ is something I I deal with every waking moment, because the OCD effect of the autism is absolutely crushing in a way that I can’t describe other than with relentless unforgiving pressure that only lessens in social environments – I don’t really TRY to concentrate, I try to control what I concentrate on, because I can’t help but obsessively concentrate. And so you sort of develop this detachment from others if for no other reason than your always sort of occupied by either keeping the monstrosity at bay, or whatever problem the monstrosity is working on. And sometimes you just need quiet, and regular daily cycles to rest. And others you need stimulation. And your life(mood) is driven by the needs of the monstrosity. So perhaps that is why I find the elephant and rider analogy so compelling. Because I assume for most people they feel they have a lot of control of the elephant. But I feel like I have almost none. So the series is, a little like Good Will Hunting was when I was younger, somewhere bettween completely resonant, and uncomfortably biographical.)
