    THE BRAIN, EMOTIONAL TRAUMA, PSYCHOSIS

    The reason emotional trauma is so problematic for the brain, is that we develop procedural (neural pathway) means of circumventing the traumatized memories. If we could block access to them (right now we can only block conversion of them into long term memory) then we could avoid having to create ‘agents’ to circumvent them.

    Unfortunately, later traumas that are physical, pharmaceutical, or emotional, can damage the agent, leaving the remaining brain fewer pathways to work with.

    We see for example, in people with incremental (slow, cumulative) brain damage, that the brain can pretty amazingly compensate for loss of almost everything except the brain stem.

    But physical loss we grow around is not affected by later traumas that we have not lost, only created an immunity response to.

    So over time the mind is consistently occupied by the maintenance of these firewalls, and then when the individual resorts to drugs for relief, the brain’s only alternative is psychosis.

    Meaning there is no calculative means of discovering a stable (peaceful and low energy) state.

    And we cannot maintain such a state any more than we can go without sleep, indefinitely.

    Yes … and we want them because we want low opportunity costs (a dense population), low transaction costs (trust), low-cost information(homogeneity language, and interests), low-cost negotiation (stable norms: manners, ethics, morals), high returns on our work effort (a market and competitive commons), insurance against defection and defectors(law), and insurance against our failure (insurer of last resort), and insurance against the loss of all of the above (military defense).

    What I have learned to say is that we want a low cost of ‘calculating’ probability of success in our endeavors, and high returns on our efforts expended:

    *The greatest return, in the shortest time, for the least effort, with the greatest degree of certainty, at the lowest risk*

    In other words, we are like every other creature, object, molecule, and particle in the known universe.

    It’s that men did in fact create markets by forcible suppression of alternatives (parasitism) in all walks of life. Now this is different from ‘designed’. The market arises as a consequence of this suppression. So we ‘liberate’ the market as well as man, from parasitism. we construct liberty and market by the same means: suppression of its alternatives. So it’s not that we design the market, it’s that the market evolves from the design of suppression of parasitism. but reality is that market towns were established as were shopping malls today. So trade may exist prior to suppression – but markets are made. cooperation may exist prior to suppression – but liberty is constructed.

    The Chinese strategic method is to delay and deceive while avoiding direct conflict until they have obtained an entrenched position and win by default because the cost is too high to reverse.

    Now, the western model was – traditionally – to solve problems quickly before the other side could concentrate great forces.

    And so the problem with the Chinese strategy is that while it has worked throughout most of their history, it didn’t work against the Japanese, and moreover, it will not work against the west unless the west defacto wants it to.

    I love the fact that china is building up the south china sea while the international courts say that they have no claim to it.

    Just gives the usa an excuse.

    EVOLUTION OF A CONDITION OF LIBERTY: THE STRUGGLE FROM DISCRETIONARY TO NON DISCRETIONARY TO MARKET RULE.

    Western Man struggles against discretionary (arbitrary) rule, in an effort to construct a condition of non-discretionary rule: Rule of Law.

    Rule of Law is imposed upon men by the organized use of violence to prohibit discretionary rule.

    Natural Law (property) provides Perfect Decidability to Rule of law, eliminating the need for discretionary rule.

    Natural Law prohibits the imposition of costs upon others, by the universal requirement for productive, fully informed, warrantied, voluntary transfer of that which man has homesteaded or obtained such transfers, when the acts were limited to externalities of the same criteria: productive, fully informed, warrantied, voluntary transfer.

    Common Law evolves incrementally by the identification of new methods of unproductive, insufficiently informed, unwarrantied, involuntary transfers, causing externalities of the same criteria, and adding those prohibitions to the canon of the law.

    Law of the Commons (Government) evolves:

    – First by concentrating rent seeking in the central authority, and suppressing familial, tribal, and local rent seeking, enabling each individual to act with his property in his best interests.

    – Second, the law of the commons evolves by the organization of production of commons, while removing the inability to defect from (free ride upon) the costs of provisioning those commons.

    – Third the law of the commons evolves to provide insurer of last resort as a service to the commons.

    – Fourth, the centralized rent seeking is eliminated by the conversion of the functions of insurer, and commons-producer, into a market for the selection of commons and tolerance for insurance. (Contractualism).

    Constitutions enumerate the processes by which rule of law, using market government, under natural law, is conducted by ordinary men.

    By use of force to create and fund, then market to persist, the meritocratic order is constructed against the will of the free riders that constitute all but a minority of the population.

    Man was not oppressed – he has been domesticated as surely as our plants and animals. Domesticated by the incremental suppression of parasitism through natural law, reproductive control, and aggressively culling the parasitic.

  • I have no idea why American blacks ( or any other tribe ) must be forced into hi

    I have no idea why American blacks ( or any other tribe ) must be forced into high trust norms or ” white ” rates of training.

    Same way that I don’t understand why my white son with my family sense of justice and reciprocity should be schooled with Asians and judged by their much mor docile and obedient natures.

    Blacks, Browns, whites and yellows mature at different rates and achieve different levels of maturity.

    So while in the adult market we can expect contractualism. It seems idiotic vanity to think that our laws governments and norms should reflect behavioural demands unsuited for the population.

    That we can all mature into market behaviour says nothing about the best environment to train different groups into those behaviours.

    It really agitated me that we force young boys to learn in the same environment as young girls – especially the decline in physicality.

    But if you are to the left of whites and Asians then why should you be scooled as they are?

    It’s not a matter of intelligence or will, or character. It’s a question of the rate of growth.

    In my generation we were divided into six levels ( I was not always in the top level by the way ). It worked well.

    In technology here in Ukraine we have a lot of ‘labor’ but not a lot of ‘professionals’. In America we have even professional ‘labor’. Just as we have nearly every living soul capable of entrepreneurship.

    A professional means a member of the middle class. What does the middle class mean? It means organizing production. What does a professional do? Organize his production and the production of others. And cooperate with peers on using empirical evidence and scientific reasoning to organize voluntarily.

    Still the post-soviet thing everywhere: limited empirical experience, limited theoretical understanding, the need for direct supervision, the inabilty to resolve problems scientifically rather than authoritarively and intuitionistically.

    I have problems with staff here that you only have at the very worst organizations in america – where people are overemployed above their abilities (which is very common in the states). But professionalism often compensates for lack of personal ability.

    What we see here is the opposite, self reliance, or reliance on instruction rather than teamwork.

    It’s one reason why they’re poor.

    When contemporary economists label a middle class they mean “the ability to possess discretionary income”. Well, in the western past, the middle class could possess discretionary income. But that is not what defined the middle class: it was organizing production.

    So while in theory economic, social, genetic, middle class should be synonyms, it’s quite possible to be a member of a genetic middle class, and socially and economically impoverished.

    Conversely, it’s also possible to be a member of an economic middle class but socially and genetically impoverished (most of our artistic classes, and sportsman classes).

    Most of ukraine seems to be populated by genetic middle classes with surprisingly few defects caused by long periods of urbanization. But they are artificially impoverished socially and therefore artificially impoverished economically.

    I love them. But it frustrates me no end.

    Women specialize in gossip and wishful thinking. If they did not they would abandon their stupid, ugly, ill-behaved children, and destined for outcast status, in the wood, rather than lie to themselves daily that they’re intelligent, cute, misunderstood, and destined for success.

    “They” industrialized gossip and lying to entrap others in wishful thinking. If they did not, they would have been exterminated long ago.

    We specialize in truth telling, finance, law, engineering, science. If we did not we would not have dragged ourselves and man out of ignorance, poverty, and disease.

    Do you think that Women, “They”, or We, have a choice in our specializations? Or do we follow the whispers of our genes?

    I do not hate the scorpion for stinging the frog. I understand that the frog is a fool for expecting the scorpion to act other than his nature.

    But we have committed a greater folly than the foolhardiness of the frog: we have committed the sins of arrogance and laziness.

    We assumed that we could use and domesticate the scorpion and that we were strong enough corral, contain, and armor ourselves against it.

    We were wrong.

    There is no end to the suppression of parasitism. Innovation does not constrain itself tot he good. We must be ever vigilant against parasitism by the persistent application of natural law, in manners, ethics, morals, law, institutions, and war.

    From one perspective, the Marxist-Socialists and the Ashkenazi Pseudoscientific Enlightenment combined with protestant feminists (less attractive women), catholics (the lower classes), blacks (the underclasses) created a successful series of revolts against the productive classes (military, legal, financial, entrepreneurial, agrarian), by co-opting media(selling consumer goods to all of their constituents), education (indoctrinating generations into the false narrative), and academy(selling false narratives to new constituents in exchange for economic rewards) in a successful attempt to overthrow our aryan(eugenic) experiment in formalizing contractualism (constitutional natural law) into a new civilization.

    From another, without this crisis would we have every discovered, written down, our reasons for excellence in the ancient and modern worlds?

    Have they not given us the excuse to finally formulate, articulate, document, and institutionalize our ancient traditions as a new world order – not just for ourselves, but for all mankind?

    If the liars can create three books of lies, then why cannot the truth-speakers create a book of truths?

    If lies can be spread by the sword, why cannot truths be spread by the contemporary weaponry?
