WHY IS P A SHIFT IN YOUR THOUGHT?

(from mythology to theology, theology to philosophy, philosophy to science, science to propertarianism.)

Like most people you are used to moral, philosophical (rational and frankly sophomoric) argument from those thinkers. These methods merely confirm what you intuit. They don’t do anything to falsify what others intuit differently. P is falsificationary, and so far, impossible to refute (just as is bounded rationality and rational choice).

In other words, I don’t do work that makes you feel good or sells you, I explain why the left lies and how they lie and how to write the law so that they can’t engage in lying, fraud, and misrepresentation.

Unfortunately, one of the casualties of that effort is the sophomoric nonsense from the Tribe’s second attempt at conquering western civlization: marx-communism-socialism, Trotsky-neoconservatism, rand/rothbard-libertarianism, Friedman-feminism, and derrida-postmodernism. And the other casualty (unfortunately) is judaism, christianity, and islam, all of which make use of the same technique of deception – of which you are a rather obvious victim.

Now, if you’re used to literary moralizing (sophism) then transitioning to a formal operational via-negativa logic isn’t going to be easy for you. And it’s to be expected that it’s hard.

If you have studied physics or economics or law it’s easier. If you know the philosophy of science it’s easier. If you know mathematics reasonably well it’s easier. But you need at least one of those things as an anchor for me (or others) to start from, otherwise we have to start in kindergarten so to speak and that’s not fair because it’s too much work.

Once you know the grammars we can teach you testimony. Once you know testimony we can teach you property in toto. then we can teach you eprime, complete sentences, in operational language using all of the above. Then we can move on to acquisitinoism, compatibilism, class structure by the three means of coercion.

Somewhere along that series you will get it.

And you will never be the same again.

Because everything in the world of psychology, sociology, politics and war becomes trivially clear.

    ANSWERS TO THREE QUESTIONS

    1) —“Hi Curt, wondering what your thoughts are on ostracism as an effective way to discourage degenerate behaviour. It’s something Stef points to and I’m beginning to see it as a rather feminine method”—

Well, I think both pre and post are valulable in the sense that I think it is very important to preserve both ostracism AND to require demonstraion of competence for inclusion. In other words, everyone may require via negativa protection under natural law, but fewer people are capable of via positiva exercise of political judgement, and there are some if not many people who must be ostracized (lose citizenship, benefits, liberty, or life) in defense of others – and that we have been far too tolerant by ending the general eugenic process provided by hanging a lot of malcontents every year.

    2) —“Re: the successful march, important to be involved in such an historic moment. When shit goes down it will be remembered as “the first peaceful demonstration of American patriotism”, or some such. Year after year of Antifa antics are met by 20000 armed men. It’s beautiful”—

The point is (a) we can show up in large numbers, even on a work day (b) antifa is always the source of violence, not us (c) c’ville was antifa not the right. So I think we succeeded in making our points: 1) we have to show up in large numbers, 2) we have to use the rights framework not the identity framework, even though the result is the same. 3) revolution comes.

    3) —“I’m interested to know your thoughts on the cultural importance of cinema and the shift from written to visual communication”—

Cinema combines the play and photography, to produce greater accessibility, and extraordinary beauty, but the era with which we produced cinematic “literature” ended by the 1960’s. And we are in full postmodern anti-civilizational decline in the arts just as the jews intended. Just as they destroyed the arts and literature of the ancient world. The most important feature of cinema otherwise has been the concentration of income in the cinema industry thereby depleting the rest of the arts of income and funding. So between the marxist, cultural marxist, postmodernist, feminist, denialist undermining of civilization; cinematic decline in post-lit screenwriting; collapse in funding of the arts; the use of panel products in construction of our buildings and therefore, incompatibility of art and architecture; and the perception of building spaces as temporary rather than intergenerational – cinema has been good and bad. But we are seeing the collapse of the income model. I have a fairly clear view of the future of the arts if we end the american empire and especially if we end copyright and substitute creative commons, then I think we will deprive the industry of any chance of funding, and this will force the correction we are looking for.

    MORE ON MATHEMATICAL PLATONISM

I understand that you can’t convince a theologian to abandon supernatural dependency, nor can you convince a platonist to abandon his independence from reality. Both are habituations where the cost of reformation is beyond their comprehension.

Science depends on realism, naturalism, operationalism, and empiricism is a process of producing testimony in the absence of faith – a warranty to the absence of faith, bias, fictionalism, and deceit. So, there is no substantive difference between the fictionalisms of theology(supernaturalism) and platonism(idealism), including mathematical platonism, where there is a vast substantive difference between Realism and those fictionalisms.

The Realist argument is quite simple: that Realism, including Mathematical Realism, depends not upon declared (arbitrary) axioms but discovered(non arbitrary) laws: Realism, Naturalism, and Operationalism. And Platonism(Idealism) eliminates the dependency on operationalism in exchange for (at the cost of) circular reference, and theology eliminates the dependency on realism and naturalism again in exchange for (cost of) circular reference.

Conversely, to testify to a claim, instead of circular reference we CAN only depend upon the sets: (a) realism, naturalism, operationalism, empiricism, (b) categorical and logical internal consistency, (c) rational choice by known incentives under bounded rationality, and reciprocity by the same criteria in the case of others; and (d) stated limits, full accounting within those limits, and competitive parsimony in between propositions.

So again, mathematics contains many fictionalisms (sophisms) to substitute obscurant non-operational for clear operational causes.

First, the most obvious (as @pennyKarma has stated) is that (i) numbers exist only as names of positions (in an order) and positions in an order alone; (ii) given that all of mathematics is constructed using rational operations (ratio-operations, operations that express ratios) and all of mathematics must be because position is the only constant relation, and (iii) positions produce scale independence, then (iv) a limit is merely the means of arbitrarily choosing the precision at which one rounds upward. So that is step one, the number and rounding.

Step two is the line, and three geometry. For step two the line, there is no number line. There are only positional names. One must fictionalize a line to create dependence upon the line. In other words create a circular reference, a tautology, not a proof.

Step three is the geometric. Let’s take the square root of two which cannot exist (cannot be calculated) without first defining arbitrary limit of precision. The sophistry is that while yes we can deduce a ratio from geometric ideals, the pencil line on paper, or the string used to square four posts in construction, provide limits.

I’ll avoid going through algebra, calculus and statistics on the same premises.

In any event, mathematical sophistry has not gone through the reformation Brouwer recommended, Bridgman achieved in physics, Hilbert warned us about, and Cantor and Bohr buried us in for a century. And while, thanks to Turing, the cognitive scientists forced a reform in psychology by forcing their adoption of operationalism – all too slowly correcting a century of pseudoscience, the Turing revolution and the computer science revolution has failed to inspire a reformation in mathematics – which was lost in sets when it is and must be, like all things, an operational (existential) discipline. Instead, just as philosophers doubled down on the failure of the analytic program, the mathematicians have doubled down on the failure of the pure-mathematics program. So until we discover geometric equivalent of mathematics (which Wolfram has at least touched on), It will be impossible for the discipline of mathematics to reform. And we will continue to see mathematical sophistry and the pseudoscientific nonsense that results from it plague our civilization.

My hope is that de-platonization and de-mystification of mathematics is made possible this century in an effort to improve mathematical education by restoring it to geometric operational and existential rather than set, verbal, and ideal sophistry. But ‘churches reform slowly and only as a last resort”.

DO YOU THINK IN MILITARY OR MORAL TERMS?

I studied history, military history, military technology, technological history, political history, engineering, drafting, and art history. I built businesses in art supplies, business supplies, legal research, and technology consulting, marketing consulting, strategy consulting, greenhouse gas measurement, product development, and I touched private and public organizations almost every sector of the state and economy – and built most of those businesses through about half acquisition and half organic growth. I ran those organizations as intelligence agencies. And I did that while being on the short side, being on the aspie spectrum, and battling cancer and its effects for most of my adult life. But lets be clear: I think in military (maneuver, logistics), and economic (incentive) terms, and like Napoleon who should be studied for his methods if not his character or ambitions – in intelligence terms. Sun Tzu and Machiavelli are not teaching you strategy or tactics. They’re giving you a warning that morality is the result of the domestication of warfare into productive ends – but that war outside of those ends is not moral whatsoever, and you must not become “submissive” to morality because the majority merely habituate rather than comprehend when moral internal and amoral external means of decision making apply.

    CHRISTIAN COMPATIBILITY

Yeah, well you know, the faithful need to believe the mythos is true because men said so. We, the rational, only need to understand that Christian love, natural law of reciprocity and the physical laws are written in the structure of the universe regardless of what men said. The difference is between a personal god that they desire, and the impersonal god or nature that we observe. What we can say is that whether you are a supernatural and theological Christian first and Aristotelian second, or an Aristotelian first and scientific Christian second, that the only difference is their need to preserve the social construction of a personal deity and a life after death. Like the empathic female (christians-first), and the analytic male (aristotelians-first), women and men are also compatible – we are just not identical. I don’t know why that’s intolerable other than it leaves them on the defense in creating the social construction of a mythical reality in which they have a greater sense of control than they in fact do. But it is simply true that people who lack agency need more rigid less dynamic rules to live by. Whereas we have greater agency and are comfortable with scientific christian love, scientific natural law, and scientific physical law, because we have ourselves and others of equal agency to trust – and they don’t. So it’s understandable that they want their faith to produce the outcomes. It’s understandable that we don’t need faith in order to produce the same outcome. And it’s rather obvious that these two positions are as compatible as are the male and female.

THE RIGHT TO SELF DETERMINATION IS THE RIGHT TO PERSISTENCE

All people have both the right to self determination, if only because no others have the right to deprive them of it. The only restitution available to those whose self determination is thwarted, is a return in kind. Therefore the only solutions to conflicts of self determination are either separation or war. And in war it is possible for either side to lose, and in losing, lose the possibility of self determination.

(To have a ‘right’ means ‘to be in the right’ under the natural law of reciprocity. Or it can mean that one has the right of demand of the court or state for the resolution of differences. One cannot ‘have’ a right.)

    “A WELL REGULATED MILITIA”

Well regulated meant ‘trained where that training is paid for by the state’. The discussion at the time was that given the vastness of the territory, the sparsity of the population, and the limited funds, that they could not at the time afford to pay for it, and that men might not show up given the cost of travel to staging areas, and that they would need to wait until such training was affordable, and therefore they must trust that the men will do it themselves (which they largely did).

The english did this with the longbow in that every sunday after church boys were required (and did) spend three hours shooting the bow. This what (like the Russians are doing) we need to restore again – schools or churches or town halls where men practice regularly at the local level. By the regimental period the regiments were paid for and self sustaining in England. And this is my suggestion going forward – restoration of the regiments and the fraternal order that comes from them.

(My suspicion is that we can reform religion and civil society by working through the regiments as much as through school systems.)

The purpose of a trained militia is to (a) prevent the need of a standing army because (b) standing armies had been used to oppress the people. So, in keeping with european tradition a small number of professional warriors (the aristocracy) would command a large number of unprofessional riflemen (soldiers, footsoldiers). Which would balance the power between the people and the state ensuring that the state didn’t get out of hand, and insuring that the men were invested in the sense of control of their government.

SCIENCE: Church Ritual is more important than dogma or belief. The problem is people think the opposite. If we have church rituals (surrender to the pack) where we are all rendered equal in safety for just a moment, any content will do. It causes an addiction response for the same reason pack membership causes an addiction response. Why this is complicated is beyond me.

My question is how to create those experiences across the spectrum of people who need different pack responses. I feel safe around thousands of armed men. Women feel safe in a church full of chattering women. Some people feel safe in a sports arena. Some over family dinner. These are all pack-feast rituals. And we apparently need them to feel ‘whole’ (mindfulness.)

    CONSTANTINE’S DESTRUCTION OF EUROPEAN CIVILIZATION

The first episodes of persecution of paganism in the history of the Roman Empire started late in Constantine’s reign, with his orders for the pillaging and the tearing down of pagan temples.[1][2][3] The anti-paganism policy of Constantine the Great evolved from the initial prohibition on the construction of new temples[14] and the toleration of pagan sacrifices,[15] to orders for the looting and the tearing down of the temples by the end of his reign.[1][2][3] Earlier in his reign he had prohibited the construction of new temples[14] but tolerated the practice of pagan sacrifices.[15]

According to Church historians writing after his death, Constantine converted to Christianity and was baptised on his deathbed, thus making him the first Christian emperor.

Constantine, though he made his allegiance clear, did not outlaw paganism; in the words of an early edict, he decreed that polytheists could “celebrate the rites of an outmoded illusion,” so long as they did not force Christians to join them.[18][19] In a letter to the King of Persia, Constantine wrote how he shunned the “abominable blood and hateful odors” of pagan sacrifices, and instead worshiped the High God “on bended knee”,[15][20] and in the new capital city he built, Constantine made sure that there were no pagan temples built.[14] Constantine would sporadically prohibit public sacrifice and close pagan temples; very little pressure, however, was put on individual pagans, and there were no pagan martyrs.

When Constantine dedicated Constantinople, two Neoplatonist friends – Sopater and Praetextus – were present. A year and a half later, on Monday 11 May 330, when the festival of Saint Mocius was celebrated, the city was finally dedicated. The goddess Tyche was invited to come and live in the city, and her statue was placed in the hand of the statue of the emperor that was on top of the Column of Constantine, on the Forum with the same name. Although by now Constantine openly supported Christianity, the city still offered room to pagan religions: there were shrines for the Dioscuri and Tyche. The Acropolis, with its ancient pagan temples, was left as it was. As for worshipping the emperor, Constantine’s mausoleum gave him a Christ-like status: his tomb was set amid 12 monuments, each containing relics of one of the Apostles. Constantine had continued to engage in pagan rituals. The emperor still claimed to be a supernatural being, although the outward form of this personality cult had become Christian.[21]

According to some authors, the issuing of the Edict of Milan,[22] showed that Constantine continued the policy of toleration which Galerius had established.[citation needed] He “continued to pay his public honors to the Sun”, until 325, on coins that showed him jointly with Sol Invictus, whereas his later coins showed the Chi-Rho sign.[23] In that year he had the Christian Bishops convene at the First Council of Nicaea, and from then on continued to take an active interest in the affairs of the Church.

Many historians, including MacMullen, have seen the seeds of future persecution by the state in Constantine’s more belligerent utterances regarding the old religion.[1] Other historians[who?] emphasize that de facto paganism “was tolerated in the period from Constantine to Gratian. Emperors were tolerant in deed, if not always in word.”[24]

Church restrictions opposing the pillaging of pagan temples by Christians were in place even while the Christians were being persecuted by the pagans. Spanish bishops in AD 305 decreed that anyone who broke idols and was killed while doing so was not formally to be counted as a martyr, as the provocation was too blatant.[25]

Constantine became the first Emperor in the Christian era to persecute specific groups of Christians, the Donatists, in order to enforce religious unity.[26]

Legislation against magic and private divination

Constantine legislated against magic and private divination, but this may have been motivated by a fear that others could gain power through those means.[27] Despite enacting such legislation, he also enacted contradictory legislation that called for the consultation of augurs after an amphitheater had been struck by lightning in the year 320.[28] Constantine explicitly allowed public divination as well as public pagan practices to continue.[29] Constantine also issued laws confirming the rights of flamens, priests and duumvirs.[30] In 321, he legislated that the “venerable day of the sun” should be a day of rest for all citizens. This ambiguous wording is capable of being interpreted as referring to the Christian day of rest or to Sol Invictus. However, in the year 323, he issued a decree banning Christians from participating in state sacrifices.[31]

He destroyed the Temple of Aphrodite in Lebanon.[32] He ordered the execution of eunuch priests in Egypt[1] because they transgressed his moral norms. According to the historian Ramsay MacMullen, Constantine desired to obliterate non-Christians but lacking the means he had to be content with robbing their temples towards the end of his reign.[33] He resorted to derogatory and contemptuous comments relating to the old religion; writing of the “true obstinacy” of the pagans, of their “misguided rites and ceremonial”, and of their “temples of lying” contrasted with “the splendours of the home of truth”.[2]
