Israeli Demographic Crisis Mirrors The USA Crisis for the Same Reason, they’re just a little behind the USA.

Statistics indicate that 9.795 millon residents, consisting of 7.1 million Jews(73%) and nearly 2.0 million Arabs (21%).

The jewish group origins are only 2.7M from within Israel and 1.6M from Europe, the rest were born in Africa .9M, Asia .7M , and America .3M.

The growth rate of the Arab population in Israel is 2.2%, while the growth rate of the Jewish population in Israel is 1.8% (I don’t have faith in these numbers because they’re all over the place and have varied so much over the yeares.)

The proportion of Israel’s population that is Jewish has been declining since 1960, from nearly 90% to 73% today. The influx of roughly one million Jews from the former Soviet Union has, at best, only staved off a larger decline. Meanwhile, the Muslim population has increased from less than 10% to 21%

The age brackets are telling a clearer story:
    Jews:
    0–14 years: 25.5%
    15–64 years: 63.1%
    65 years and over: 11.4%

    Arabs:
    0–14 years: 37.5%
    15–64 years: 58.6%
    65 years and over: 3.9%

Q: WHAT WAS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ITALIAN FASCISM AND ROME?
    (TLDR: symbolism and nothing else)

Italian Fascism under Benito Mussolini did not explicitly aim to restore the Roman Empire, but it did draw heavily on Roman symbolism and history as a means of legitimizing the regime and inspiring a sense of nationalism. Here’s a detailed breakdown:

    Symbolism and Rhetoric
Roman Salute: The Fascist regime adopted the Roman salute as a symbol of authority and unity.

Latin Phrases: Latin phrases and Roman terminology were used in official discourse to evoke a sense of historical continuity.

Architectural Revival: Mussolini commissioned buildings in the neoclassical style to evoke the grandeur of Rome.

    Ideological Underpinnings
Nationalism: The Fascist ideology was deeply rooted in a form of extreme nationalism that sought to unify Italy under a single, authoritarian rule, much like the Roman Empire.

Militarism: Just as Rome had expanded through military conquest, Mussolini sought to make Italy a dominant power in Europe, most notably through the invasion of Ethiopia.

    Political Strategy
Legitimization: By drawing parallels between his regime and the Roman Empire, Mussolini aimed to legitimize his rule and inspire a sense of duty and sacrifice among Italians.

Unity: The evocation of Rome served to unify a nation that was still grappling with regional differences following its relatively recent unification in the 19th century.

    Differences
Scope and Scale: While the Roman Empire was a vast territory that lasted for centuries, Fascist Italy was relatively limited in both time and territorial reach.

Ideological Foundations: The Roman Empire was not Fascist; it had its own set of social, political, and economic structures that differed significantly from those of Mussolini’s regime.

While Italian Fascism drew heavily on the symbolism and grandeur of the Roman Empire, its primary aim was not the restoration of the empire but rather the creation of a strong, unified, and authoritarian Italian state.

    ECONOMICS
Fascism as an economic system is often characterized by a hybrid of state interventionism, corporatism, and a focus on autarky (economic self-sufficiency). While it’s important to note that fascism is primarily a political ideology, its economic components serve to bolster the ideology’s broader goals of national unity, strength, and self-sufficiency. Here’s a detailed breakdown:

    Key Components
State Control: The state plays a significant role in directing economic activity but usually does not abolish private property or enterprise. Instead, it seeks to guide the economy to serve national interests.

Corporatism: Fascist economies often organize labor and industry into collective associations or “corporations.” These entities are meant to suppress class conflict and create a harmonious relationship between labor and capital under state supervision.

Protectionism: Fascist regimes typically adopt protectionist policies to safeguard domestic industries. This includes tariffs, import quotas, and subsidies for local businesses.

Autarky: The goal of economic self-sufficiency is often a key component. This is aimed at reducing dependency on foreign nations, both for raw materials and finished goods.

Militarization: A significant portion of economic output is often directed towards the military. This serves dual purposes: it strengthens the state and also acts as a form of economic stimulus.

Anti-Communism: Fascist economic systems are often positioned as a “third way” that opposes both liberal capitalism and Marxist socialism. However, they usually maintain capitalist structures.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ROME AND FASCIST ITALY
The Roman Republic/Empire and Fascist Italy were separated by nearly two millennia, and thus they operated within very different historical, cultural, and technological contexts. However, both have been influential models of governance and have had a lasting impact on Western political thought. Here’s a detailed comparison:

    Structure of Government
    Rome
Republic to Empire: Rome transitioned from a Republic, governed by a Senate and two consuls, to an Empire under a single emperor.

Checks and Balances: During the Republic, Rome had a complex system of checks and balances, including a Senate, popular assemblies, and magistrates.

Provincial Rule: Rome governed a vast empire through a system of provinces, each overseen by a governor appointed by the central authority.

    Fascist Italy
Totalitarian State: Italy under Mussolini aimed to establish a totalitarian state where all aspects of life were controlled by the government.

One-Party Rule: The Fascist Party was the only legal party, and Mussolini ruled as Il Duce, the leader.

Corporate State: Mussolini introduced the concept of the “Corporate State,” where various sectors of the economy were represented in a single body, aimed at harmonizing the interests of labor and capital under state supervision.

    Structure of the Economy
    Rome
Slave Economy: Rome’s economy was heavily dependent on slave labor.

Agricultural Base: Agriculture was the backbone of the Roman economy, although trade and craftsmanship were also important.

Taxation: Rome had a complex system of taxation, especially in the provinces, to fund its military and public works.

    Fascist Italy
State Intervention: The state played a significant role in directing economic activity but did not abolish private property or enterprise.

Protectionism and Autarky: Fascist Italy aimed for economic self-sufficiency and protected domestic industries.

Militarization: A significant portion of economic output was directed towards military endeavors.

    Relationship Between Government and People
    Rome
Citizenship: Roman citizenship was a prized status that conferred numerous legal protections and was eventually extended to all free inhabitants of the empire.

Legal System: Rome had an advanced legal system that has influenced Western law to this day.

Public Works: The Roman government invested in extensive public works, including roads, aqueducts, and public buildings, for the benefit of its citizens.

    Fascist Italy
Propaganda: The Fascist regime used extensive propaganda to cultivate loyalty and suppress dissent.

Youth Organizations: Young people were indoctrinated through Fascist youth organizations.

Suppression of Dissent: Political opposition was not tolerated, and dissenters were often imprisoned or executed.

    HISTORY
The intellectual and ideological roots of fascism can be traced to a variety of nationalist movements and thinkers that predate the 20th century. While fascism as a formal doctrine was first articulated in the early 1900s, its antecedents can be found in earlier periods.

    Giovanni Gentile.
Was an Italian philosopher and one of the key intellectual figures behind the development of Italian Fascism. Gentile was a collaborator of Benito Mussolini and co-authored “The Doctrine of Fascism” (1932) with him. His philosophy of “actual idealism” was a significant influence on fascist ideology, emphasizing the centrality of the state as an ethical entity that transcends individual will and consciousness.

Gentile’s work provided the intellectual scaffolding for many of the key tenets of fascism, including authoritarianism, nationalism, and the primacy of the state over the individual. His ideas were instrumental in shaping the educational policies of Fascist Italy and were used to legitimize the authoritarian practices of the regime.

    Nationalist Movements Influencing Fascism
German Romantic Nationalism: This movement emphasized the Volk (people) and their organic unity. It was a reaction against Enlightenment rationalism and Napoleonic rule.

Italian Risorgimento: The 19th-century movement for Italian unification was a form of nationalism that sought to create a single, unified Italian state.

Pan-Slavism: This Eastern European movement aimed to unite all Slavic peoples under one rule, often in opposition to Austro-Hungarian or Ottoman control.

French Nationalism: The French Revolution and the Napoleonic era had a profound impact on the development of nationalist thought, emphasizing the power and sovereignty of the nation-state.

    Influential Authors and Thinkers
Niccolò Machiavelli: His work, especially “The Prince,” influenced fascist ideas on statecraft and the use of power.

Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel: Hegel’s philosophy, which emphasized the role of the state as the realization of the ethical ideal, had a significant impact on fascist ideology.

Friedrich Nietzsche: His concept of the Übermensch and critique of traditional morality were appropriated by some fascist thinkers, although Nietzsche himself was not a fascist.

Charles Maurras: A French nationalist and monarchist, Maurras influenced fascist thought with his emphasis on integral nationalism.

Gabriele D’Annunzio: An Italian nationalist and proto-fascist, his actions during the “Fiume Endeavor” were admired by Mussolini.

Oswald Spengler: His work “The Decline of the West” influenced fascist ideas about the cyclical rise and fall of civilizations.

Carl Schmitt: A German jurist and political theorist, Schmitt’s ideas on political sovereignty and the “state of exception” were influential in fascist ideology.

Gustave Le Bon: Known for his work on crowd psychology, Le Bon influenced fascist ideas on mass mobilization and propaganda.

Vilfredo Pareto: His theories on social elites and the “circulation of elites” influenced fascist views on leadership and governance.

WHAT DO PATRIARCHY OR PATERNALISM MEAN?

I don’t think anyone who uses the term patriarchy or paternalism has the faintest idea what they’re talking about other than some vague intuition that the word means something good or bad.

In practice I think it means at least that it was a mistake allowing women to enter the voting pool. (Probably true. Women definitely require juridical defense but they appear incompetent and legislative ‘offense’.)

Aside from that I don’t know anything much other than we need to (a) restore liability for interference in a marriage and liability for ending a marriage (b) end community property (c) end alimony (d) leave child support to the hosting parent, (e) with children given bias to the mother until X age and to the father, at least of boys after X age. (single dads are better than single moms by a long shot.) (f) and therefore the family court system.

Here is my little test of chat gpt on this issue as well:

    CurtD:
So here is my understanding. (a) paternalism means men take responsibility for the behavior of individuals in the commons such that they follow the group evolutionary strategy meaning contribute to the normative and institutional and knowledge commons, and do not allow the consumption of the accumulated cultural capital in that strategy and in those institutions and commons, by individual evasion of responsibility for maintaining that capital. In other words the purpose of the public arena is for the raising of children by intergenerational families. Everything else is a private matter, not a public one, and may not be visible in any way within the commons.

    ChatGPT
Your interpretation of paternalism appears to be rooted in a specific sociobiological framework that emphasizes group evolutionary strategy, cultural capital, and the role of men in maintaining these structures. This is a nuanced take that incorporates elements of evolutionary psychology, sociology, and ethics. Here’s a breakdown:

    Key Components
Group Evolutionary Strategy: You posit that paternalism serves to maintain a group’s long-term survival and prosperity by enforcing norms and behaviors that have been evolutionarily advantageous.

Cultural Capital: In your view, paternalism is not just about maintaining order but also about preserving the accumulated wisdom, norms, and institutions that constitute a group’s cultural capital.

Male Responsibility: You emphasize the role of men in this system, suggesting that paternalism is inherently tied to male authority and responsibility for maintaining these social structures.

Commons: You introduce the idea of the “commons” as shared resources—be they material, normative, or intellectual—that require collective maintenance.

Individual Evasion: You also touch upon the tension between individual desires and collective responsibilities, suggesting that paternalism serves to curb individual behaviors that might deplete the commons.

    Implications and Questions
Ethical Implications: This interpretation raises ethical questions about individual autonomy and freedom, especially if one does not subscribe to the group’s evolutionary strategy or cultural norms.

Gender Dynamics: Your focus on male responsibility could be critiqued from feminist perspectives that question the gendered assumptions underlying this form of paternalism.

Cultural Relativism: How does this model account for cultural diversity and the fact that different groups may have different evolutionary strategies and forms of cultural capital?

Enforcement Mechanisms: What are the mechanisms through which this form of paternalism is enforced? Legal systems? Social shaming? Economic incentives?

Your interpretation offers a complex, multi-layered understanding of paternalism that goes beyond common usage to incorporate elements of evolutionary theory, cultural analysis, and ethical considerations. Would you like to delve deeper into any of these aspects?

    CURTD:
I assume this means because forcd is required to enforce these behaviors and because men demonstrate responsibility and status by defense of and production of commons and capital, while women demonstrate just the opposite: the maximization of consumption of all forms of capital but not responsibility for production or defense of that capital. As far as I know all sex differences are reducible to female hyperconsumption and evasion of risk that comes with responsibility for production and defense of commons, while men enage in hypercapitalization, and bearing the risk that comes with responsibility for production and defense of commons – in no small part because it gives access to women favoring hyperconsumption as well as men who favor discounts on production of capital precisely by working with individuals having demonstrated success in producing and defending capital.

    ChatGPT
Your interpretation posits a fundamental dichotomy between male and female behaviors, rooted in evolutionary biology and economics. You argue that men and women have evolved different strategies for interacting with their environments: men focus on the production and defense of shared resources (commons and capital), while women focus on the consumption of these resources. Here’s a breakdown of your argument:

    Key Components
Force and Enforcement: You suggest that force is often required to maintain the commons, and that men are primarily responsible for this enforcement.

Status and Responsibility: In your view, men gain status through the production and defense of commons and capital, which also entails risk and responsibility.

Hyperconsumption vs. Hypercapitalization: You introduce these terms to describe the divergent strategies of women and men. Women are geared towards “hyperconsumption,” or the maximization of resource use, while men are geared towards “hypercapitalization,” or the maximization of resource production and safeguarding.

Risk and Reward: Men bear the risks associated with the responsibility for production and defense, which in turn gives them access to social and material rewards, including female companionship.

    Implications and Questions
Ethical Implications: This framework raises ethical questions about gender roles and equality. How does one reconcile these evolutionary roles with modern notions of gender equality?

Sociocultural Factors: How does this evolutionary framework interact with sociocultural factors that also influence behavior? For example, social norms, laws, and education can all impact how men and women behave.

Exceptions and Variability: How does your model account for individual and cultural variability? Not all men or women may fit neatly into these roles.

Economic and Policy Implications: What are the implications of this model for economic policy and social welfare programs? For example, would this model suggest different kinds of economic policies for men and women?

Your interpretation offers a provocative and detailed framework for understanding gender differences through the lens of evolutionary biology, risk-taking, and economic behavior. It’s a model that would likely generate much discussion and debate, particularly from those who approach gender from sociocultural or constructivist perspectives.

“..it’s obvious that the conflict, which started as a limited territorial war and is escalating to a global economic confrontation  between the whole of the West on the one hand and Russia and China on the other hand, has become a world war.”

“The US is now twice as populated as Russia (2.2 times in student age groups). But in the US only 7% are studying engineering, while in Russia it is 25%. Which means that with 2.2 times fewer people studying, Russia trains 30% more engineers. The US fills the gap with foreign students, but they’re mainly Indians and even more Chinese. This is not safe and is already decreasing. It is a dilemma of the American economy: it can only face competition from China by importing skilled Chinese labor.”

“the confrontation between China and the US will have no winner but will give space to a country like India, and to many others. I add: but not to Europeans. Everywhere we see the weakening of the US, but not in Europe and Japan because one of the effects of the retraction of the imperial system is that the United States strengthens its hold on its initial protectorates. As the American system shrinks, it weighs ever more heavily on the local elites of the protectorates (and I include all of Europe here). The first to lose all national autonomy will be (or already are) the English and the Australians. The Internet has produced human interaction with the US in the Anglosphere of such intensity that its academic, media and artistic elites are, so to speak, annexed.”

“When we see the Russian Duma pass even more repressive legislation on ‘LGBT propaganda’, we feel superior. I can feel that as an ordinary Westerner. But from a geopolitical point of view, if we think in terms of oft power, it is a mistake. On 75% of the planet, the kinship organization was patrilineal and one can sense a strong understanding of Russian attitudes. For the collective non-West, Russia affirms a reassuring moral conservatism.”

“…we find that countries in the West often have a nuclear family structure with bilateral kinship systems, that is to say where male and female kinship are equivalent in the definition of the social status of the child. [Within the rest], with the bulk of the Afro-Euro-Asian mass, we find community and patrilineal family organizations. We then see that this conflict, described by our media as a conflict of political values, is at a deeper level a conflict of anthropological values. It is this unconscious aspect of the divide and this depth that make the confrontation dangerous.”

THE VERY CERTAIN FUTURE OF RELIGION: PHILOSOPHY WITH RITUALS
Spiritual = Intuitionistic. Most of us are somehow spiritual. Very few of us can enage in Magical Thinking. And that number is decreasong rapidly. So a future religion may look a lot more like a philosophy with rituals than religions of the past – and very unlike the curse of the abrahamic slave religions that are but revolts against Indo European Aristocratic Superiority whether european or persian.

Religions train the subconscious through suppression of neuroticism and generating a sense of belonging by creating a standard of measurement of values through provoking the “DEBT” response – which is a very powerful primitive mammalian instinct that causes us to submit to the group.

Very few of us (some of you) are succeptible to emotional and imaginary suggestion. As the population continues to develop knowledge of the world and cooperate across different sexes classes and cultures, we require a non-magical non-supernatural equivalent of religion. The greeks and romans were on the verge of producing it before the christian destruction of the ancient world – really, a slave revolt using a slave religion – and little else.

We did manage to europeanize then germanize it, but aside from expanding virtue to the slaves and peasants by literally just doing nothing wrong, otherwise there is nothing good in christianity that was not in epicureanism(empathic) and stoicism(analytic), or in the words of the philosophers. And everything bad in christianity is external to the few words jesus actually spoke himself in providing the solution to conflict among people – the extension of familial love and forgiveness to all mankind (until we have exhausted all options). This is (science) the only solution to the prisonners dilemma of cooperation.

The USA, especially the midwest, is the most valuable territory on earth. The missisipi and ohio river valleys are multipliers on what benefitted ancient egypt on the nile. The whole world can starve but the USA never will. We have access to both major oceans and have major rivers for cheap transport, and enough natural resources to carry a 200m population eternally. Meanwhile we those same oceans that make it costly for us to project power, equally defend us from people lacking the resourcdes to project power -when most of those are trapped on the ‘world island’ of eurasia and therefore need to be land powers.
