    (Countersignaling)
    National Socialism was a counter-revolution against World Communism: the communist total war (secularization of abrahamic religion) against nations.
    – As an ideology of national total war against world communism’s total war against nations, it was innovative, effective, useful, and without American intervention, would likely have been successful, at least eventually, had it succeeded.
    – Note that small homogenous nation-states are high-trust polities, that constantly advance in the economy, science, technology, rights, and privileges – and large diverse religious or ideological empires are low-trust polities that stagnate (middle east, India, China).
    – So regardless of whether communism, socialism leftism, progressivism, American liberalism, all small ethnocentric nation-states produce the optimum political order with the lowest power distance, highest trust, and most redistribution. And the only reason for scale is because you are untrustworthy or other parties are untrustworthy so you don’t trust one another – because you have not developed the high trust of small homogenous nation-states.
    – Camps and Gulags are the Nazi trope, like Slavery is the American Trope, or Colonialism is the European trope – when these are common practices by every civilization in history. And even these practices among christian europeans were superior to all world alternatives.
    – Everyone from National Socialists, to Communists and the British and the Anglosphere used concentration camps starting well before the world wars. For all intents and purposes, ghettos, ‘quarters’, the west bank, and the meany dislocated tent-cities today are the equivalent. And during the age of nation-states, where people relocated to their home regions, relocation was necessary to produce high-trust homogenous polities capable of democratic rule of law governments.
    – Given that communism and National Socialism are simply means of conducting ‘total war’ – just as we have seen communism fail outside of total warfare conditions, national socialism would have devolved into french or german democratic socialism (mixed economies) as we have seen in the postwar era. Simply because without the threat of conquest or war, people will naturally restore their self-interest during peace as they do their collective interest during war.
    – The french invented what we would call democratic socialism, and just called it socialism – governing well. The Marxists made it extremist and authoritarian – warfare instead of just governing. The nazis reacted by creating opposition to communism with greater authority to conduct warfare while maintaining the french morals.
    – So I’m getting close to saying just “The nazis were mostly right, and they weren’t as wrong as the communists, and you’re just a clown for thinking otherwise.”
    – Worse, what is the difference between militant communism, and subversive, seditious, left-wing liberalism other than the rate of conquest? The masculine force of communism replaced by the feminine seduction of communism. Both are suicidal. There is no difference.

    Almost everything I read on Twitter consists of virtue signaling unearned undemonstrated virtue, for moral pretenses that are utilitarian, selfish, ideological – and certainly not moral, seeking affiliation in ‘teams’ (cults) – using assertions, claims, beliefs, imaginings, fictions, lies, frauds, composed of ignorance, error, bias, and deceit. When all humans are very simple: we seek discounts on what we want without earning it, or engaging in reciprocal exchange for it – and given our differences in ability, personality, want, even when educated, we sort into factions (cults) seeking to obtain or defend one thing more than any other: status and self image. When modernity, and mass communication demonstrate every day, that most of us, nearly all of us, differ only in how little harm we do – not how much good we produce for self, family, community and polity. We are ignorant, selfish, petty, status seeking, hyperconsuming, spoiled children. And this causes us to want more rather than to focus on our enemy – who is largely in the talking classes, and largely generates this cultism, in the government, financial sector, academy, media, and activist sectors.

    A SECRET?
    If you study the ‘science’ of human lying, and have a basic understanding of statistics, it’s relatively easy to separate good research from bad – not because you understand the research (although that helps a lot) but because you can identify the untestifiable: lying.
    The COVID fiasco produces volumes of noise but almost NO signal (useful research). No small part of the blame goes to the media for lying about the research for clicks and eyeballs. And a lot of the blame goes to the people who have no business interpreting research an spinning it for their purposes.
    So, because we don’t know how to identify lying, very few people can judge the veracity of research they falsely call ‘science’.
    And again, I’d like to repeat, it’s not ‘Science’ until it’s survived market falsification. Until then it’s just Research. And sometimes, it’s not even that.
    You don’t trust the research. You trust settled science. And that takes time.

    I did my own research, because I’m qualified to VET RESEARCH, and it was obvious that the government’s position was wrong on nearly all counts.

    The public was lied to, even if with ‘sedating’ intent.

    Worse, the correct course of action was also obvious – isolate the vulnerable and the vector of their care providers, and then practice extraordinary hygiene at home, where most of it spreads.

    But perhaps worst of all hospital beds were too few (even compared to Europe), strategic reserves and strategic manufacturing were offshored, and the government had lost the capacity to direct emergency production from the private sector.

    And far worse than that, neither the CDC nor WHO (Nor FEMA), had run wargames to test and falsify plans, methods, procedures, and resources -and then published them for public scrutiny.

    The government must not be permitted to ‘comfort the people’ with falsehoods instead of communicating the truth as known (not forecast), and it must demand performance by our ‘insurers of last resort’.

    There are, at any given time, only three or four people at the top of any field. They are not in government employment. And they’re the only people worth asking anything of substance.

    Most academics, scientists, and medical professionals are nothing more than clerks for domain-specific paperwork.

    Race differences in performance are largely due to race differences in studiousness – which are partly race differences in neoteny, and otherwise (and sometimes causally) race differences in the cultural value of education.

    We have too much historical evidence that the principle difference, assuming you have *enough* IQ (not so much superior IQ) is just familial, social, cultural, and civilizational differences in value of education, and the discipline with which we engage in what is largely the repetitive work of learning different subjects.

    And no, we can’t do much about people under 90, and we can do nothing about people under 80. And some racial groups consist of demographic distributions in which half or more of the race’s population are under 85, or worse, 70 (and in a rare case 55).

    IMO the fundamental problem facing us today is teaching in the repetitive reading and written method, vs teaching the repetitive but adaptive method of adversarial competition of games that places less burden on attention and memorization and instead produces incentives to chase the rewards produced by games.

    After that, the primary problem is race differences in rates and depths of sexual maturity – which transmits to what we consider aggression, impulsivity, or indiscipline. This behavior is largely due to teaching groups by white germanic middle-class temperament. When some groups require greater physical exercise or socialization (playing sports largely) before they are able to focus on learning non-physical non-social knowledge.

    The big lie of equality or even similarity is what has caused the post-1945 failure of education, society, politics, and now economics.

    We are a bit too enamored of our technological progress based on previous scientific innovation, and a little too worried about our failure of fundamental scientific progress, and our horrific backsliding in psychological, sociological, and political progress.

    Reality is that the smart fraction – the people who can manage a STEM degree (120s) , or who can communicate complexity or manage large organizations (130s), or who can innovate in the fundamental sciences or theories (140s), provide the ONLY competitive advantage for a population. The rest of the population’s manners, ethics, morals, and discipline determine the productivity and quality of it.

    Unwin studied 80 societies and found that ‘any human society is free to choose’:

    – It can ‘display great energy’.
    – Or it can ‘enjoy sexual freedom.’
    – But ‘it cannot do both for more than one generation.’

    The sexual behavior of women before marriage is the decisive factor in cultural success.

    WHY:
    – Men are mainly motivated by sex.
    – If they can get it without marriage, they contribute less to society.
    – Pre-nuptial chastity coupled with absolute monogamy energizes cultures most.

    Only the world’s greatest empires managed it:

    – The Sexual Revolution of 1960 gives us until 2060.

    Before Rome fell,
    – women were emancipated
    – marriage fell out of fashion
    – Roman gravitas disappeared
    – sexual opportunity was extended
    – marital and parental authorities were qualified

    And then absolutely monogamous Teutons conquered Rome.

    EMERGENT IRRATIONALITY
    If a rationalistic society loosens its sexual restrictions, it regresses to superstition and irrationality.

    As Unwin predicted, we are seeing
    – irrationality
    – nature worship
    – women identifying as “witches” (meaning, various forms of female woo woo, magical thinking, anti-sociality, criticizing, undermining, canceling.)

    LIMITS TO “PROGRESSION”
    Unwin explodes the ‘quaint and comfortable doctrine’ that the cultural process is a progressive development’.
    – Sexual constraints mean flourishing; sexual freedom means collapse.
    – Without this truth, ‘we shall understand neither our own culture nor that of any other society.’

    Unwin isn’t ‘wrong’ he’s just ‘early’. It took Hayek (behavioral capital) and Becker (economics of human behavior) and many others in between, to explain the problem of knowledge, incentives, and producing humans that willingly (and irrationally) produce COMMONS using incentives.

    Libertarianism failed for reasons leading libertarians have stated: there are no advanced books, and no substantial meaningful, competitive theories and literature of libertarianism.

    The reason is, that it would look like rule of law by the natural law or sovereignty and reciprocity and would read like a slightly better version of Smith, Hume, Blackstone, The federalist papers, the declaration and the constitution.

    In other words, libertarianism is adolescent classical liberalism at best, and the questionable ethics of the separatist Jews of the Pale who sought to avoid all costs of producing commons at worst

    Why? Lower-class marxism, middle-class libertarianism, upper-class neoconservatism, Anti-female feminism, non-European cultural marxism, and non-white race marxism.

    it’s not complicated. just more advanced that the Jewish, Christian, Muslim culture war against indo-european civilization in the ancient world – repeated once again, for the same reason:

I found it took me a couple of decades and I’m not done yet. The founders had seventy of the best minds of the age. And it took them seven months. ) 😉

    I can find no case where it’s not a consequence.
    We justify. Religions justify. We need only decompose and disambiguate what it is they justify. There is nothing good in christianity that was not in greco roman thought, and everything bad in christianity (judaism, islam) is an introgression of fraud into western thought.

    Difference? Western thought began as aristocratic negotiation. Middle eastern thought began as peasant manipulation and organization. So Christianity provided a means by which the slaves, underclass, immigrants, and women could find respect and virtue in ‘doing no wrong to the commons’ versus respect and virtue ‘in doing good for the commons’ that was the principle of aristocratic religion.

    Unfortunately, instead of continuing the progress of the Sol Invictus character that integrated into the model, the Christian (seditious) model that also UNDERMINED the aristocracy, their arts, letters, reason, ethics, morals, religion, tradition, and institutions, and fed the honor of the high cost of military participation that made Rome possible – was a preference.

    So the Jewish Christianity of the church destroyed the ancient world from within just as much as Islam destroyed the ancient world from without.

    Same as today.
