    I interviewed my grandmother back in 1999 for an African American Studies course. I specifically asked her this question. She felt that segregation was good and bad. Here are her answers.

    THE GOOD

    The good reasons for segregation.

    1) The Black American community was more united. It didn’t matter how much education, money or status you had, you were forced to live in an all Black community. People looked out for each other.

    2) Black communities were self-sufficient. They had Black-owned banks, universities, hospitals, newspapers, construction companies, fast food restaurants, people working in the trades, radio stations, entrepreneurs of all kinds, grocery stores, shopping centers, clubs, restaurants, swimming pools and on and on.

    3) Your children went to school in the local neighborhood. They were taught by teachers that looked like them. Those teachers lived in the same neighborhood. The teachers were concerned about your children, treated them like their children, nurtured them and truly loved them.

    THE BAD REASONS

    The bad reasons for desegregation.

    1) It splintered the Black American community. Most of the pillars of the community decided to move out of the neighborhood. Doctors, lawyers, accountants, engineers, and other white collar professionals quickly left. Many neighborhoods were left without balance. The children were mostly left with drug dealers, pimps and gang members. Many of them could no longer see that it was possible to be a doctor, lawyer, accountant, engineer or other white collar position.

    2) Many of the Black American communities were drained of their self-sufficiency. Many of the businesses left the formerly segregated Black community. They were lured by the money that they could make in the white American areas, the “better” school systems and the “better” neighborhoods. You can still see the impact of businesses leaving from back then today in predominant Black areas.

    3) Your children were now bused many miles away from their community. Parents could no longer quickly walk to see or get their children in the local community if necessary due to sickness or for any other reason.

    My grandmother believes that desegregation is wonderful. She understands why it was necessary for the USA to progress in that direction. She would never want to go back to living in segregation. But she does want to see more Black American unity, Black American entrepreneurship and anything else that strengthens the Black American community.

    1) Ethnic europeans demonstrate higher, more consistent, more constant creativity (innovation) in all walks of life. (See: Charles Murray. Nicholas Wade)

    2) Some of this can be attributed to the higher occurrence of personality traits (a) openness to experience, (b) ‘worry/anxiety’, (so called ‘Neuroticism’) in ethnic europeans.

    3) Much of this can be attributed to the lower underclass burden, and therefore higher trust, superior norms and institutions of western civilization. (See: Garrett Jones)

    4) The majority of this effect can be attributed to the various uniquenesses of western civilization’s use of ‘heroism’ (climbing the dominance hierarchy by demonstrated works – or perhaps more so that climbing the dominance hierarchy is not prohibited as it is in many other cultures) as well as the competition between small states (princedoms) for talent in order for the nobility to virtue signal. (the origins of which we understand fairly clearly: See Emmanuel Todd, Karen Armstrong, and J.P.Mallory et al.)

    SUMMARY:

    For cultural, genetic, and demographic reasons, western Virtue Signaling has fostered individual risk taking, achievement, and reward at the cost of hierarchical disruption more so than all other civilizations combined – (at least until the merger of cultural marxism (the frankfurt school’s ‘critical theory’) and the French then Anglo postmodernists, (which you see evidence in the comments by some of the effeminate ‘useful idiots’ above).

    1. The white race is empirically less violent than all other races. (sorry. fact.) We currently attribute this to the facts that (a) limited survival of the underclasses in harsh winters, (b) the aggressive hanging of up to 1% of the population every year (heavy intolerance for crime), (c) high sexual dimorphism combined with lower levels of testosterone and therefore lower levels of impulsivity and aggression, (d) higher demonstrated creativity which appears to be a genetically influenced personality trait (curiosity, ‘worry’, and industriousness). (e) greater freedom (for men) to compete in the dominance hierarchy.

    2. The white race is empirically superior at the application technology, voluntary cooperation, planning, and maneuver to the use of violence, thereby allowing smaller numbers of warriors to defeat superior and wealthier numbers.

    3. The white race has empirically used the application of violence to create markets that in turn increase wealth.

    4. The white race’s superiority in ancient and modern ages is because of the use of violence and technology to create markets.

    5. The white race’s superiority at producing arts, sciences, and technologies is because of their discovery of ‘deflationary truth’. (What we call scientific or empirical truth, that evolved from ‘reporting’ or ‘testifying’ rather than opining, elaborating, or conflating – regardless of cost to the self or others.)

    6. The white race’s discovery of ‘deflationary truth’ was caused by the use of the militia, that indoctrinated all free men into the use of military and technological epistemology. This mean that all mean of property were trained to some degree, and all the wealthier families were professionally trained, to use maneuver,
