The difference between a protestant christian and I is only in the range of excuses they use to justify their mindfulness and actions. I don’t need them.     The problem we all face is that protestant christianity, unlike catholicism, democratic secular humanism, and socialist postmodernism, produces good human beings. Especially among the working and lower classes, who have only their ACTIONS (service) to use for status signaling (positive reinforcement). Stoicism does not produce devotion to charity by personal action only insulation from manipulation and mindfulness. So the answer is clearly the structure of stoicism, but the choice of archetypes must include the charity of jesus among the virtues (lower and priestly), the duty of achilles among the virtues(lower middle and nobility), and the reciprocity of Aurelius (middle and upper middle – commercial ), and the devotion to the truth of Aristotle(top – Judiciary).

    Or stated differently, the only reason victimhood succeeds is in forming a resistance movement that raises the cost of administration by middle class commercial empires. That does not prevent the Chinese from conquering and ruling their buddhist neighbors. It allowed Muslims to destroy their tolerant neighbors. And allowed Christians to destroy the Roman Empire.

    Tolerance is a very, very, very, bad strategy. It is very clearly a *failed* strategy. And as far as I know, it is women who have advanced this strategy out of intuition not reason or evidence

    My opinion (criticism) is that Peterson is framed and can’t exit it.

    1 – Religion provides a portfolio of enumerable services.

    2 – Those services can be redistributed to non-false institutions.

    3 – Those services can be provided by non false institutions.

    4 – The problem of externalizing self analysis can be solved through a variety of methods.

    5 – My preferred (and rome’s preferred) is that the monarchy past and present represent the family (nation), and that piety to a monarchy is superior to all other methods. *assuming* the monarchy and nobility is as limited as I have stated: to veto of last resort, to funding of arts, letters, and charities, (Excellences), and to facilitation of festivals and holidays. In other words, a secular, familial, religion.
