THE DISCREDITING OF THE CREDENTIALED PROFESSIONAL
Russian physicist on @jollyheretic probably frustrated both Edward and the audience, but she was making a well-known argument: western scientists are not taught (avoid) sufficient mathematics, statistics, nor modeling to know the difference between stats, math, physics, & cause.
As some of you know I was an investor in Project 2 Degrees along with Microsoft and Clinton Foundation when in 11/09 the ‘fudging’ the data info started to leak. It wasn’t until at least 2010 we had decent information. Sure, it’s getting warmer. Sure part us. Also astrophysical.
IMO the academy made the same mistake with AGW as the government did with covid: (a) too early to make a claim, (b) too hyperbolic (c) causing skepticism (d) then doubling down, causing people to convert it to a political then moral issue (e) invalidating credentialism.
There is an unhealthy tendency in the west given the introduction of women into the voting pool work force, and media, to sedate female neuroticism by the pretense of knowledge, power, control, competency. When the absolute opposite is the case.

In retrospect, we only made one catastrophic error: allowing the communists->neomarxists into the country, and not purging it as a hostile pseudoscientific religion. Similarly china made only one mistake – reproduction. A problem only fixable with ‘free housing’. (My prediction.)

it’s not clear at all that the christian women seeking legal equality and entry into the workplace were in any way ‘wrong’. Just the opposite.
