Russian physicist on @jollyheretic probably frustrated both Edward and the audience, but she was making a well-known argument: western scientists are not taught (avoid) sufficient mathematics, statistics, nor modeling to know the difference between stats, math, physics, & cause.

IMO the academy made the same mistake with AGW as the government did with covid: (a) too early to make a claim, (b) too hyperbolic (c) causing skepticism (d) then doubling down, causing people to convert it to a political then moral issue (e) invalidating credentialism.

There is an unhealthy tendency in the west given the introduction of women into the voting pool work force, and media, to sedate female neuroticism by the pretense of knowledge, power, control, competency. When the absolute opposite is the case.
