Humans have very high loss aversion on the one hand, desire attention by cheap means, and jockey for status by means of gossip. As such negative news spreads far faster that opportunity news. Seizing opportunities costs, avoiding losses and buying attention with gossip is cheap.
I mean. Seriously. I have to choose my words carefully just to say the scientifically unassailable, and the ethically impervious, without fear of chastizement. Yet FB’s algorithm suggests adding a DONATE button to a post on EUGENICS? lol …
