If it’s merely a transfer, it isn’t profit, and it isn’t earned – it’s stolen.

A profitable business *creates* new wealth by productive, fully informed, voluntary transfer, limited to productive externalities.

Both buyer and seller *and everyone else* has more of something than when they started or they wouldn’t have done voluntarily made the exchange.

By limiting our externalities to the productive, we obtain the implicit consent of the sovereign to benefit them without the cost of their involvement, and without our concern for the possible cost of their retaliation.

And they will retaliate against any cost imposed upon that in which they have an interest. And they have an interest in anything that they have paid for either with life and limb, family and relations, material goods, effort and attention, or forgone opportunity for satisfaction.

And they pay these costs for life, mates, offspring, kin of various distances(necessary existential), several property (monopoly existential), shareholder property (quantified existential), common property (unquantified existential), institutional property (operationally existential) – including education and ritual, normative property (intangible but demonstrably existential); informational property(intangible and demonstrable upon use), monumental property (existential but unconsumable) – high arts; and territorial property and the resources therein (necessary, and existential, unquantified, unconsumable).

in exchange for sovereignty and by consequence property, we grant one another sovereignty and by consequence property. And the cost we bear for doing so is: telling the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth; impose cost on the expenditures of others neither by inaction or action; and by consequence limiting our actions to those which produce only productive, fully informed, voluntary transfers, limited to productive externalities; and the reciprocal insurance of everyone else’s sovereignty, and by consequence, property by paying the cost of diligently policing, word and deed for every word and deed we are aware of.

But even the exchange of Sovereignty is but a strategicl utility: it is the method by which those who are existentially, demonstrably, superior in ability and deed, to preserve their superiority in ability and deed by combining with numbers of others of superiority in ability and deed, in ever increasing numbers, to transcend themselves, man, beast, earth, and all possible under their possible dominion, from beast, to man, to the very gods they aspire to be.

This is the philosophy of the west. It derives from one principle: by heroic sacrifice, in the form of demonstrating our excellence, largely in the form of willing risk, we pay for the franchise of sovereignty, and western civilization derives from that one principle.
