    I KNOW IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE (EVEN FOR ME), BUT I ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT.

    Sovereignty, Testimonialism, Propertarianism, Market Government, And Transcendent Domestication, constitute a complete philosophical system that unites science, biology, philosophy, morality, law, politics, and group evolutionary strategy. It is the scientific articulation of European Aristocratic Egalitarianism and the explanation of the reason why the west out-performed the rest in both the ancient and modern worlds.

    It might SEEM that I am either crazy, eccentric, or peddling nonsense. And it is obvious that my work is heretical in the current era. But it is as important as the invention of empiricism, and will, if it survives, have as profound an impact on human life.

    By means of slight changes to the constitution we can, by force of rebellion, restore western civilization, in the current era, as much as empiricism and Darwinianism restored it under Christianity in the prior eras, and as much as Aristotelian reason codified the Aryan contractual and empirical metaphysical intuition in the ancient world.

    So while it is quite difficult to argue concepts of this nature with the common man, or even those with a college education, and remains challenging with the highly educated and the specialist, it’s not that I cannot defend my work from criticism. It’s that it is hard to find criticism rather than error, bias, wishful thinking, impulse, opinion, deceit, and rallying and shaming.

    Aphoristic/Institutionalized Skepticism

    As far as I can tell, Taleeb understands the danger (negative externalities) of Scientism (pseudoscience), but he isn’t trying to reform the (social) sciences so that we can produce and act on warrantied information. Instead he wants to make institutions “idiot proof”/antifragile. He advocates implementing skin-in-the-game policies because he has skepticism of our ability to calculate at modern scale (who can blame him?), but he knows that will intuit their self-interest and act accordingly.

    In a way he is arguing that we create law so that we have a pre-modern experience and act-accordingly. This can be observed not only in his politics, but also in his diet and exercise program. Like many people on the right, he wants to go back to what we have observed to work.

    from the early seventies. called colossus – the forbin project.

    in the movie the soviet and american supercomputers are aware of each other but have to learn to communicate.

    this process goes on a long time, and then they can, and they take over the world.

    the problem for taleb and i (mostly me because i understand the problem) is developing that language so that we could get on the same page.

    i think if we could have a serious conversation it might be good for both of us. but I don’t see why he would be interested.

    he comes very close to the connection every time he talks about mandelbrot, but he doesn’t quite get there.

    what he doesn’t yet grasp is this: the only way to win is not to play the mathematical game.

    stability consists of voluntary exchanges, not of calculations. why? because voluntary exchanges are within the realm of human cognition and like game theory and equations they are not within the realm of human cognition. Why? because there is less information in every judgment as abstraction increases.

    Aggregates are not possible to calculate. As he’s shown for years, it’s all noise.

    what does this mean?

    debt instruments are not resellable.

    this line of reasoning is not terribly intuitive but it’s actually the problem with information loss. Think of it as an act of fraud every time a debt instrument is resold. The only possible means of preserving the sanctity(truth content) of debt instruments (skin in the game) is to sell shares in receivables on the debt using divisible shares (ie: blockchain shares), where the issuer is required to retain x% of the capital as warranty of truthfulness.

    This kind of thing was not possible in the past. We lacked the tech for it.

    It is quite possible that the data that would be produced as a result of the long run observation of the above-suggested process would produce the empirical evidence that taleb is searching for.
