WOMEN FOR SUPERGEEKS Women are easy. Take them shopping. Be nice to their friends, and make her look good in front of them. Listen. Give them permission to feel. Say “yes: to anything that you can easily do so. Say “no I can’t or won’t do that” – not, “no that’s a bad idea” – and don’t ask forgiveness or permission or agreement to say that kind of “no.” That is what it means to be a man and different from a woman. In addition, have male friends and many of them. I love talking through thoughts and issues and ideas with a woman. And honesty in those things makes them feel safe with you. In other words, bring them into your emotional world but not your cognitive world. Bringing them into your cognitive world is a form of selfishness. It makes you needy. If you bring them into your emotional, personal, and social, world, you make them successful in bonding with you. My particular issue is that I can be anchored if I talk about something before I am ready – and being anchored takes away my superpower so to speak. So I can’t talk about some issues until I am ready, and this can create the perception that I am hiding something. Worse, not everyone can understand what I am thinking, so I try to humor people to save myself effort, frustration, and potential alienation, which can also create the impression that I have ‘plans’. Worse, I managing one’s creativity is different from managing one’s work. Creativity is a manageable process but time consuming, and cannot, like ordinary task work, be forced. So it is not always clear that I am in fact (as taleb also laments) ‘working’, when in fact I am, under almost all circumstances, ‘working’ and only vaguely ‘present’. Stuff spills out of your fingertips when it’s ready, not when you want it to. So lots of intimate, in that I mean, ‘us time’ talking is necessary to preserve trust and connection to compensate. And that is what I learned to do. Women give AMAZINGLY GOOD ADVICE on anything personal, emotional, social, and ‘real’. so much so that at least for me it’s very hard to function without it.

(the demand for national mythos)
Um. when the atheists attack mythology – abrahamic or otherwise – they do not specify the means of graceful failure of decidability that mythos provide. That’s why one needs a founding mythos. Because there must exists some means of decision making in the absence of knowledge.
Hence why I argue for Self Authoring in the Virtues, and for the western historical ‘mythology’ of transcendence (progress into godhood). But what do we teach as decidability?
One needs an aspiration or it is impossible to construct a complete set of decidability. (really. It is. Sorry).
However, with that aspiration, the law is enough. The law brings us transcendence into gods, and into mystery of the universe.
The law is enough because it will produce transcendence. transcendence likewise will produce the law. So whether bottom up or top down we produce the combination of the law, ascendence, transcendence.
The Natural Law. The White Law. Reciprocity, and a canon of precompiled arguments for nearly every category of human decision making.

Of course I’ll disagree with him, and so will anyone who looks a the locations of the troops, their numbers the BIAS of those troops, the numbers of the police, and first responders, the size of the territory, the number of worldwide assets that have to be protected from hostile external factors, the fragility of the system, and the success WORLDWIDE OF EVERY 5GW revolutionary force. Look at Syria, the Arab Spring, Yemen, the problem Iran has, turkey had, the fragility of the american grids, the dependence of urban underclasses on availability of cash, food, and digital transfers. The zero savings of the population…. I mean. the entire american experiment is dependent upon maintaining economic velocity that we currently refer to as just-in-time production and distribution due to plentiful information and extremely low cost transportation. There is very little electricity, heat, food, water, and such in the supply chain. Especially if actors function in winter, entire cities can be depopulated in weeks. I mean. It’s not like it takes millions in the streets. Man-on-man warfare went out with napoleon. Industrial warfare went out with the 1990’s. Today it’s just ‘break some infrastructure’ and let population density and the fragility of the supply chain do the work of turning people into rabid animals the male underclass of which will prey on the rest. As an example, one building can consume the fire departments of multiple cities. What if in the same city someone started 100 of those fires? What if that were done while breaking hydrant heads and losing the water pressure to fight the fire? Everyone thinks of millions in the streets but what I learned in ukraine is that 100 people can do all the fighting and just fall back into those people in the streets, in homes, in workplaces, and the state cannot pursue them. I mean, I am not the only person who has studied enough on this subject to make these statements. The military can ONLY concentrate force. There are only 2m. Of those 2m who will sympathize with the state if we offer a solution that restores military influence in the state, and improves the conditions of the soldiers? So the question is, not whether you have some ‘spastic’ uprising. The question is whether you position demands THAT PEOPLE WANT ANYWAY and drive those demands such that the state resists, but he military and police AGREE WITH THEM.

THE GODS GAVE US FIRE, BUT WE MAD OURSELVES GODS WITH METAL. As far as I know (and I may be wrong) gods gave us fire via Prometheus, but man invented metal. And while Hephaestus is a god of Smiths (and I am not sure how many civilizations have such a thing other than Thor and Hephaestus) the gods did not give man metal. We made our solves gods by discovering it, and bending it to our will. ๐
