“Q: Is there a connection between capitalism and religiosity?”

    Great question.

There is a relationship between the military, empiricism, rule of law, and markets that tend to favor capitalism since once you have those influence capitalism is all that one can do. That’s why Europeans invented empiricism, rule of law, markets testimony in all walks of life, and high trust: european civilization was, at least, among the aristocracy, an “army of everyone” for 5000 years. And moving up the status economic and political hierarchy meant integration into that set of values – so much so that we practiced it until 1918 without ever even writing it down as our ‘bible’ of western civilization.

There is a relationship between empiricism and atheism – which is what you would expect. Whether you mean ‘capitalism’ in the ‘free trade’ regardless of local costs, or rule of law, which produces markets within the limits of local costs, determines your understanding of it. In other words, rule of law of reciprocity will produce a mixed economy. Weak (limited) rule of law with a capitalist bias will produce the bad effects of capitalism.

There is a relationship between Christianity and building a large middle class so that one can have a modern, self-organizing economy that will function by incentives – which is the more general name of capitalism. This is why Christian countries tend to become wealthy and Islamic countries tend to become poorer and poorer. Christianity treats everyone as family and customer and treats customers as necessary to keep in order to stay in business. However, this behavior doesn’t require religiosity. Because post-theological peoples retain those ethics. It’s only been postwar immigrants from ‘less moral’ cultures that have undermined it.

So like many ‘skills’ (arithmetic > math > geometry > calculus > analysis) or (grammar> logic > rhetoric )(physics > chemistry > biology > sentience) or (stories > novels > biographies > histories ) christian ethics appears to be a ‘stage’ through which groups must pass in order to develop an equal to high trust western civlization.

Unfortunately, that very same Christianity and high trust creates a vulnerability because it normalizes trust to a degree that individuals polities, nations, and civilizations are vulnerable to false promises and seditious behavior, as we have seen over the past seventy years.

    GIVEN:

    Anarchism| < – Capitalism < -… Rule of Law … -> Socialism -> |Communism

    ………Individual Priority…………….Equilibrium……………..Group Priority…………….

    Non-Coercion…Private Corruption……………..Public Corruption… Coercion.

    AND GIVEN:

Masculine Strategy: Capitalism requires adversarialism (market competition).

Science, law, economics, war require costly personal responsibility for physicality.

    -Versus-

Feminine Strategy: Communism requires submission (absence of competition)

Religion, philosophy, public popularity, politics are cheap and the absence of physical (material) responsibility.

Religiosity is determined by the following factors:

    EXPERIENCE

1 – Familial, Social, Institutional indoctrination

2 – Saturation of the environment with ‘falsehoods’ by social construction

    ENVIRONMENT

3 – The Utility of Religiosity in the local social-political economic environment.

4 – The Utility of Religion as an organization for political resistance or change.

    MINDFULNESS

5 – Mindfulness(self): (a) sedating powerlessness in the world, (b) evading responsibility for the world, ( c) imaging false power in the world.

6 – Mindfulness (others): (a) resisting influence of others, (b) common non-conflict protocol for interacting with others, ( c) method of expressing dominance against others.

    EMOTION

7 – Empathic vs Analytic: personality trait : those people who have a higher intuition, want, or neeed, for a conflict-free (relatively) framework with others

8 – Experiential(closed) vs Intellectual(openness): personality trait: those people for whom abiilty, desirability, and status find greater security in regularity than novelty whether mental, emotional, or social.

  • Restoring WordPress with Gutenberg Editor To A Writer’s Platform

    Gutenberg frustrated me because:

    1. It takes seemingly endless time to load – Painfully endless. Sufferingly so.
    2. It loses websocket connections if you sleep and wake your laptop, meaning you can either (a) lose your work or (b) can’t save your work.  There is no reason for this (my company’s applications restore websockets using the gmail incremental delay method, and it’s flawless).  And there doesn’t appear to be any way (from the admin interface) to see the frequency of saves (it should be every minute or three).
    3. Blocks are a long time coming, and great for content presenters – but they’re terrible for content producers: writers.

And, well, I’m a writer.  In fact, WordPress is quite possibly the optimum platform for writers – because of autosave, lots of versions, version history comparisons, WYSIWYG. I find it a better experience than every other editor I have.

To “correct” the problem of the ‘hostility’ of Gutenberg Blocks for writers, add one plugin:

TinyMCE Advanced adds a “Classic Paragraph” block for the block editor (Gutenberg).  This classic paragraph block maintains the distraction-free writing experience. And the advanced configuration allows you to customize your editing by setting advanced TinyMCE options for both the classic block and classic editor.

The Classic Paragraph Block can be used instead of the Gutenberg Paragraph Block. And it supports transforming to and from (converting between) multiple Paragraph blocks, Image, Table, List, Quote, Custom HTML, and most other blocks.

One of the Options is to set the Classic Paragraph Block as the Default Paragraph. Set it. Then you’re done. You have the best of both world for content, whether PRODUCING(writing) or PRESENTING.

  • Q: “What are your thoughts on stoicism and epicureanism?”

As far as I know, just as Europeans evolved rational material war, law, government, engineering, geometric mathematics (an important distinction), and religion was more an act of loyalty, exchanges (sacrifices), and not of submission, and religion was far more ‘civic’ (social) an festival driven (expensive), philosophy (mindfulness in knowledge and understanding, stoicism (mindfulness of action) and epicureanism (mindfulness in the small joys of life), continue to reflect the realism, naturalism, productivity, achievement and forward-looking, metaphysics of Europeans. (unfortunately “Alexander brought the curse of authoritarian mysticism into European civilization”.) So Europeans had just about developed a region of cognitive behavioral therapy (stoicism) and constructive living within one’s means (epicureanism), to accompany their civic religion of nature, ancestor, archetype, and state-worship (loyalty). All humans require mindfulness (reduction of neural cost of continuous calculation in the face of uncertainty) especially as population sizes expand, the division of labor increases, and anonymity, irrelevance, uncertainty, and insecurity arrive at the cost of wealth (think of today’s ‘lost generations’ here in the west. So all civilizations developed various forms of achieving mindfulness as a consequence. Only europeans developed forward looking (evolutionary) rather than static, cyclical, or regressive metaphysical understandings of the universe, the world, and their place in it.

Unfortunately, Overexpansion, natural problems of communication and administration, the resulting corruption, over-immigration, invasion-war, under-reproduction, increased reliance on mercenaries and those who were not devoted to the roman civilization as a solution to historical problems, were met with plague, and in particular excessive exposure to middle eastern cultures, and created a vulnerability to the false promises of Christianity (cheap, non-performative, imaginary, without responsibility), first through women, then thru slaves, then through the underclasses (just like feminism and postmodernism today), until the power over the underclasses was sufficient that men took over control of the religion from women (like doctors from midwives in the 19th century). The Christians then eventually killed the philosophers, closed the stoic schools, burned the books and writings, destroyed the statues, arts, and temples, (just like BLM/Antifa and the Postmodernists in Education today), and slowly took over administration the way that postmodernists have worked their way into academy, schools, government, and the media today.

So my observation is that the demand for stoicism/epicureanism has returned but we are unable to construct and institutionalize it because we are presently in such a crisis due to immigration in blue cities seeking to repeat the destruction of Rome from within, and the center that is trying to preserve the military, empirical, rational tradition (and unfortunately the Christian as well).

I have done some work on how to achieve that without the religious trappings, by ‘educating the whole person’ including mindfulness (stoicism), a good life and a good person (epicureanism), physical fitness, restoration of adversarialism throughout education, and restoration of grammar, logic, and of course, natural law (ethics), as and rhetoric (speech), and manners and etiquette. For the simple reason that they are costly behaviors that produce not only cognitive mindfulness but interpersonal and social harmony. As such we would have far less political disharmony.

    Anyway. Enough for now.

  • Q: “What Is the Ideal Political and Economic System, and Why?”

Here is your answer: That which is least divergent from the physical, natural, and evolutionary laws of the universe, and as such produces proceeds that can be directed to the production of capitalizing (not consumptive) commons.

    ORDER – Order Produces Cooperation
The ideal human order is an ethnically homogenous militia (really), wherein one is worthy of status and respect if and only if he serves (she births), and does one’s duty – regardless of rank. The behavior this produces is superior to every other social behavior.

    RULE – Rule Produces Limits
The ideal Political order is Rule of Law of the natural law of Self Determination under the criteria of individual severity, reciprocity in display word, and deed. This is a purely scientific political order that is consistent and correspondent with the physical, natural, and evolutionary laws of the universe.

    GOVERNMENT – Governments Produce Commons
The ideal Government under rule of law is what we call a constitution, a professional judiciary, a constitutional monarchy where the monarch serves as Judge of last resort (like Elizabeth III ), a professional cabinet, with houses for each of the classes, with the middle-house, providing the prime minister to the cabinet, where the houses assent or dissent requests by the cabinet. And if possible where votes are either by the random selection of ‘jurors’, or directly by citizens.

    ECONOMY – Economies Produce Consumption
Rule of law, the government under rule of law, will produce markets of reciprocity. This is not capitalism in the sense of ‘free markets’ but capitalism in the sense that there are greater constraints on the externalization of costs to the people, commons, and state.

As such the ideal economy under that rule of law, and ideal government, is as always a mixed economy, with the state treasury as a lender, the cabinet as venture capitalists, the private sector as short term venture capitalists using private sector funds, and the proceeds of profits returned to the treasury. Demographic distributions require liberty (rule of law capitalism for the exceptional), freedom (insured against risk for the average), serfdom (state-run-employment for the below-average), indentured slavery (military service, public service), ostracization( for the undesirable), imprisonment (for criminals), and capital punishment for the unrecoverable.

    THE COST
The costs of this ideal order are high and all of us seek to escape paying those costs but we all want the benefit of having paid them (or others paying them). This is why it is so hard for people to integrate into or copy western civilization: it is counter-intuitive to pay the high cost of a militia, rule of law, constitutional government, market economies, and the continuous sense of insecurity that only ethnocentric communities of continuous support and charity and provide.

    THE DIRTY SECRET
The dirty secret is that no other people other than east Asians and pre-war Europeans were willing to constrain the reproduction of the population to those who could meritocraticaly produce income sufficient to purchase or rent a household, and the means of production, necessary to produce generations by self-sufficiency. This ‘soft eugenics’ is the reason for eastern and western success as well as ‘everyone else’s failure’. The fundamental problem of social orders is overcoming the natural human tendency for regression to the mean causing dysgenic reproduction incapable of producing self-sufficiency and surpluses that can be devoted to the production of commons.

Eugenics are as necessary as air.
Life without air will kill you faster.
Civilizations without eugenics just die slowly.

  • Q: “How do you see the near future of Germany?”

How do you see the near future of Germany?

1 – Greater Germany (the old holy roman empire) is Europe and always has been. Napoleon’s primary objective, as were the postwar french, English, and jews, to de-Prussianize Germany, and ensure that she could not reform the holy roman empire as the core of european civilization.

2 – France (67m) is and always has been the enemy of Europe, and the enemy of Germany, the greater germanic sphere, including the English sphere. The French killed the protestant middle class, then killed the military aristocracy and institutionalized the authoritarianism of the catholic church more so than any other country in Europe. At present, France is economically nearly autarkic, has the only capable military in Europe, maintains her colonies in Africa, and the only people desirous of ruling Europe, and the only government capable of it, and the only intellectual class outside of Russia trying to accomplish it.

3 – German strategy since that period has been to ‘we are surrounded so we must be better’ – for many centuries. And germans are better. Politically, Culturally, and Economically. Unfortunately germans are ‘unnecessarily burdened’ with the ww2 history. However, the future will treat that period nearly the opposite of how we have treated it over the past eighty years. The reason is that China did not imitate the communists, but the German Fascists, and China is demonstrating (a) that ethnocentric, nationalist, fascism (state capitalism) won the debate over political models, and (b) that this is the historical model of all civilizations throughout history. ( c) that the entire world is returning to historical norms now that the british-American empire has come to a close, and european advantage in technology has been redistributed across the world. Leaving only european anglo-germanic european culture as a competitive advantage. Because we have the only underclasses, laboring, working, and lower middle classes that are not ‘harmful’ to the broader polity. This is in part because we have had small lower-class populations.

4 – The German (81m) economy will collapse, and devastatingly, because her economy is built upon exports, predominantly automobiles exports (20%+), and exports on issuance of debt, and she is running out of customers for her goods, who are running out of ability to pay the debt, because of demographic collapse in Europe.

Europeans destroyed self-reproduction in order to trade taxes produced by adding women to the workforce to produce redistribution to the elderly, and reproduction to the underclasses instead of continuing investment in offspring of the productive classes. Meaning that Europeans (and Americans, and Canadians) have had to import vast underclasses from alien cultures that are neither willing nor able to integrate into German culture, nor willing and able to continue german ‘we must be better’. In fact, if the USA alone merely put a trade barrier on german cars the economy would collapse in months. (Which is how Trump threatened Merkel so that she would start re-arming.)

5 – Greater Germania cannot rely on resources, cannot defend herself, cannot create a virtual or material colonial system as did the Europeans and as are the Chinese: ~140M: Germans (78 million), Austrians (7 million), Swiss (4.6 million), Belgians (0.1 million), Dutch (22 million), Flemish people (6 million), Frisians (0.5 million), Swedes (9.5 million), Danes (6 million), Norwegians (4.7 million), Icelanders (0.3 million), Faroese (0.07 million), Ålanders (0.03 million), Finland-Swedes (0.3 million).

    6 – Poland is recovering and developing too slowly to lead, so the intermarium peoples cannot defend themselves: ~110m: Lithuania (3m), Latvia(2m), Estonia(2m), Finland(5.5m), Belarus(10m), Ukraine(44m), Hungary(10m), Romania(19.4m), Slovenia(2m) and Czech Republic(10.5)

7- Whether we would consider the Balkans (~32m- 55m depending on who we include) as ‘european’ is an ancient question. Geostratecially yes, culturally, and institutionally no, and her legacy with Islamists in the population – that the Serbs sought to correct – is worse than the legacy of having Islam rule them. Turkey is campaigning for the restoration of her territories in Europe, her maritime territories, and her place as a potential great power.

8 – Greater Russia (144m) has the strategic need to expand, the strategic will to expand, a military, population, and culture, desirous of expansion, and like the Chinese ambitious to over come her ‘insult’. She is threatened if she doesn’t expand. In addition, she effectively ‘owns’ Europe because of resources, and because of her military. So despite her tiny economy (1.6T – smaller than Italy and about that of spain), She can by a combination of military and economic and political activism achieve her goals – and to some degree, she must if she is to survive.

9 – America (328m) is all but autarkic, and like France can feed herself and create domestic consumption. Worldwide political, economic, and military Instability is in the near and long term American interest. It’s most likely that the anglosphere (remains of the British Empire) will form a naval-air-space civilization – as we must – just as Europeans will maintain a continental army civilization, and both will pursue natural interests.

However, America is as unlikely to exist as is Europe. At present Mexico is colonizing the southwest the same rate that Africans now control the south. The left is destroying American cities through immigration, non-integration, and debt one at a time. And Americans are very close to a civil war between immigrant coastal regions and traditional european core. (While I and others predicted this decades ago, and most of us were very close in timing, the severity of it was something we didn’t expect. )

10 – Historically if Islam can reach 10% of a population or Jews 3% of a population, either it will destroy it from within. America has the Jewish population, Britain already has the Muslim and Jewish population, and Germany is approaching the Islamic population.

11 – So between a France and Russia willing to rule, an Intermarium unable, and a greater Germania unwilling even if able, and restoration of Islamic conquest via the Bosphorus and Islam undermining the culture as did Christianity the Romans, the future of Europe is one of unique vulnerability not equaled since the fall of Rome – and likely to be as severe.

12 – So in the near term, while it is counter-intuitive, it’s extremely important that the ‘right’ re-emerges in Germany, or there will be no Germany, and the core of Europe will be eradicated by some combination of authoritarian french, authoritarian Russian, and supernatural authoritarian Islam.

The best-case scenario is a gradual restoration of integration and a gradual buildup of Germany to pre-war levels of strategic influence so that she and the intermarium and Italy can keep France and Russia and Turkey at bay. And guarantee negotiating positions with them. But this will only be possible by vastly increasing and restoring Germanic people’s military capability and traditions. The worst-case scenario is that America has a civil war, and everyone seizes the opportunity causing germanic Europe to e the primary loser of the world competition for sovereignty.

I am sure the truth will cause hand wringing but this is my job: to deprive you of illusions that will cause catastrophes.

  • Q: “What are the major differences between Eastern and Western philosophies?”

Quite a bit of research on the subject. (Suggest Huntington)

In the most reductive of terms:

Chinese langauge is unforutnately good for poetry and analogy and not for logic or precision. English is the opposite. All germanics are the opposite. indo european langauges in general are the opposite. In technical terms this means chinese is a low precision high context language, and english is a high precision low context language. Even as such we can still separate philosophy into math, science, Logic, Rationalism, Reason, literature, and Myth. And we can then add lying to those spectrum with sophistry, magic-pseudoscience, Sophistry-Idealism, and occult-theology. But assuming we avoid the topics of lying, chinese philosophy is nowhere close to Rationalism (kantian), but lies somewhere between Logic (Socrates) and Reasoning( Plato-idealism ). The difference in structure is different from differnce in objective: it’s in whether we seek to understand master and transform the world as it is, or we seek wisdom to live within the world as it is. Are we seeking conquest of the universe or accomodation. And that is the principle difference: truth vs wisdom.

Military: East Asian Delay and Deceive vs European Solve it Quickly and Openly.
Political: East Asian hierarchical family vs European (Aristocratic) Markets of Peers.
Metaphysical: Verbs(doing) and Relations vs Nouns(things) and
    Decidability: harmony(non-conflict) vs adversarialism (competition)
Unstated: Seeking Stagnation vs Seeking Continuous Advantage
Character: Humility (good peasants) vs Heroism (good soldiers)
Relations: Someone is always superior and someone inferior vs We seek peerage
Man: (See their art) Asian “man is bad” (Chinese art) vs European “Man is Ideal”(Greek art)
Value of Life: They don’t vs We do.

They face an unstoppable monolithic authoritarian state and humility in their place within it. We face a market competition for survival and status and lionize achievers.

This is why Christianity was successful in the west: the european tradition was martial, heroic, and aristocratic, and everyone else was ‘human domesticated animals’. Christianity made paying the high cost of adhering to extremely costly western norms virtuous and ended the problem of a two-tiered society of ‘citizens and slaves’.
