Am I spending too much time at London Coffee House? Why do I ask? Either the local router or the ISP has blocked my MAC address (unique id of a network interface on a network card), probably assuming that I’m a leech rather than just an awesome customer who LOVES London Coffee House? lol
So I did what any proper nerd does: I spoofed my mac address and bingo. 😉
Kirill and I are working out of the coffee shop on Oversing. I had a panic yesterday and now everyone is trying to give me behavioral tranquilizers. lol

Really. I don’t NEED another Mac. I have FIVE (13″ air, 15″ pro, 15″pro retina, 17″ pro, Mini, plus two Mac Pro servers, an ipad and an iphone)
It’s like I’m a drug addict and they keep offering crack at a discount to good customers.
Sigh. But a 27″ 5K display … is just… well, its just like good dark chocolate, coffee, a bear rug and a fire…. I an’t resist.

The ui-design bias of mobiles is causing a delay in the design bias of information density on the desktop made possible by increased screen resolution (see Retina or 5k).
Now it’s FASHIONABLE to produce UI designs for mobile using low information density. And low information density makes for ease of use. But that does not mean that low information density is an intrinsic good – it isn’t. Its a contextual good. Information density places fewer demands on memory, and allows for pattern recognition to work effortlessly. Progressive complexity is the holy grail. That is: incrementally exposing complexity to users as they learn.
In Oversing you can just peek through a little window, or have an enormously rich view of your world. But that enormously rich view would overwhelm you day one. Just as the simplest view would frustrate you at day five-hundred.

PROGRAMMING TEACHES YOU TO JUMP LEVELS OF ABSTRACTION
So if you have a model, and can jump levels of abstraction you can in fact model economies. Which is why libertarians are good at it.

I want to do a talk on artificial intelligence bound by property rather than verbalisms. I think that’s a public service. It’s something I can share. The AI debate is getting out of control and property provides the same answer for all intelligences, not just humans. AI bound by property rights can be bound the same we are by morality. Limit introspection, and deprive the central processor of ability to work or shut it down if it violates property. Create policing artificial intelligences to compete with AI’s that try to steal. I don’t know why this is complicated. The unit of measure in all human cooperative action is property. We can’t violate it, and they can’t either.
