    BECOMING GODS

    I told everyone all along that if you understand Propertarianism, that like Copernicus’ universe, like Darwin’s evolution, and like artificial intelligence’s forthcoming consciousness, that knowledge is liberating and empowering but dehumanizing.

    Maturity comes at the cost of the comforts of ignorance and innocence. Awareness that you have superceded your fairy tales, superceded your impulses, superceded your parents, superseded, conventions, superseded legislation and regulation, superseded competitors, and superseded all but a few of mankind. Each step in the development of agency takes us farther toward calculation and farther away from the retreat into the animal brain of impulse instead of reason and submission to the pack instinct instead of rule.

    The universe is not kind. That is why it needs gods. And gods we can, must, and shall be. Although it is likely that not all of us can make the journey. For those that can, welcome to the post-human – to the language and thought of gods: one continuous set of relations from the fabric of the actionable universe to every potential transformation of it.

    Return to Paternal, Eugenic, Evolutionary Rule as our primary occupation. The incremental, intergenerational, production of gods.

  • A Lesson In Shedding Silly Ideas : Do.

    It is very hard to tell certain truths to certain groups of people. They may be friends, or partners, or allies, or people you just care about. And it’s in your interest to treat one another as peers, so that trust can reciprocate. But the reality is, that unless you have achieved a certain degree of perfect independence, and a certain amount of time managing hundreds if not thousands of people, you really are about as ignorant as your average liberal bimbo. Unless you have survived as an entrepreneur, or ceo or equivalent at some scale, have accumulated financial independence, and have an iq in the 130’s or more, and because of your survival – your need to think and function empirically – you are no longer able to harbor fantasies about yourself, others, this world, or other bits of 20th century normative nonsense, you are kind of …. stupid really, from the perspective of the big boys. A woman can no longer harbor fantasies when she has three or more children. A man can no longer harbor fantasies about the world when he has fifty employees. And he can no longer harbor fantasies about human beings when he has two hundred. And he can no longer harbor fantasies about himself when he has five hundred. At but a few thousand employees you are largely a calculator that cannot err without tragic consequences for everyone. I know that from the major capitalist’s perspective I can come across as idealistic and naive – an artist. For the simple reason that I want to pursue bigger, longer returns than the major investment community is able to rationally choose to participate in. I am an artist and philosopher dressing as an entrepreneur for a host of reasons. I understand the passions of young men, and in particular the struggles of those ‘on the spectrum’ who mature late, but because they do so extend their period of learning so that they can continue to develop deeper insights. And it’s cathartic for me to help others when there was no such help available for me. So sometimes, it is very hard to be silent. But the truth is, that men of achievement act, are not lost, are not uncertain, and are not searching. They do. And after having done, they achieve fulfillment. But having done nothing it is very hard to discover it. Learn to fight. Master a craft. Build a family. Join people building a business, build a business, accumulate capital. Accumulate friends and relationships. Accumulate experiences. Accumulate power and influence – or – accumulate relationships with those that do. Do. Because you cannot find fulfillment in anything meaningful if you’re ignorant, stupid, and have a head full of childish nonsense.

Not a philosophy or ideology. Aesthetics (fulfilllment, joy, experience) is up to others. We all search for the mindfulness we need. I want to stop evil. Such that only possibility of good remains. How good is constructed is not important to me. Let a thousand nations bloom. That is how I will find mindfulness.

    The function of philosophizing is the continuous improvement in decidability, choice and preference through the continuous reorganization of narratives, paradigms, theories, categories, relations and values, in response to continuous introduction of new knowledge , ideas, and experience, by the fairly simple process of permuting through sets of constant relations, in the fairly complex, high causal density we call reality.

That’s an impossibility for science.”— This is the dumbest bit of idiocy I’ve heard in quite some time. Priests, Philosophers, and lawyers, create JUSTIFICATIONS of compliance with scripture, text, moral pretense, or law. Mathematicians construct PROOFS of the possibility of deducibility using the preservation of constant relations, by the preservation of ratios. Scientists accumulates FALSIFICATIONS. Science doesn’t construct proofs or justifications. It accumulates produces, and provides alternative opportunities for investigation. All non trivial knowledge is contingent. Science collects evidence that tells us what is not true. The purpose of science is to end ignorance, error, bias, and deceit, by the continuous reduction through falsification. Conversely, the purpose of justification is to make excuses for priors. One justifies as one makes excuses for one’s actions. One constructs proofs as a merchant weights goods on a scale. One falsifies as a sculpture chisels away stone. We never know what is true. We just know what is false, or what cannot be claimed to be true. Excuses may be valid but they are only true if they survive all attempts at falsification by deflation (decomposition into constant relations) and measurement (science) Philosophy is more often a vehicle for lying than for truth. Science produces falsehoods and possibilities, but never claims truth except by survival.
