  • DEFINITIONS: LOADING, FRAMING, OVERLOADING. Loading = Moral Loading (a form of b

    DEFINITIONS: LOADING, FRAMING, OVERLOADING.

    Loading = Moral Loading (a form of biasing a suggestion, causing the person to be more heavily influenced by intuition – social effects.)

    Framing = a form of informational cherrypicking where one eliminates some information and overloads with other information, in order to bias the conclusions of others.

    Overloading = Cognitive Overloading ( The use of information, language, detail, to cause the failure of the individual to analytically tests the statement and resort to intuition – cognitive effects)

    Pseudoscience and pseudorationalism, religion, and narrative are methods of Overloading. (Marxism is at present the second best form of overloading after monotheism – both of which make false utopian promises).

    I sometimes separate out Environmental Overloading (Propaganda) to demonstrate overloading at scale, by industrialized means.

    I sometimes refer to religion as using overloading and submission to overloading as a price of ritual entry into an identity.

    Most deception occurs by the use of incomplete information to cause reliance on introspection (substitution). this kind of deception is open to denial, and therefore not open to retaliation. Whereas supplying false information rather than incomplete and suggested information is not open to denial, and therefore is open to retaliation.

    We have imitation of kin for infants.

    We have heroic imitation for children.

    We have virtue ethics for the adolescent.

    We have rule ethics for the adult.

    We have outcome ethics for the mature.

    CONFLATIONARY SIMPLICITY vs DEFLATIONARY COMPLEXITY

    The attractiveness of religious parable is that it’s conflated (all the disciplines are conflated into a single narrative). And the simple beast in each of us prefers to call upon one ‘unit of measure’ (method of deciding).

    But what separates man from animal is reason, and human from man, is deflation: the ability to compare multiple dimensions.

    So while we harbor in us a romantic childish animal that wants to save the burden of learning and cognition by relying on the reductive, conflation of simple ideal types, virtues, and parables, rather than identities, measurements, spectra, equilibria, and models, we merely infantilize ourselves by returning to infantile means of conflationary measurement.

    THERE ARE NO ANSWERS IN THE LIES OF THE CONFLATIONISTS.

    Its actually how they attempt to circumvent blame by issuing warnings all the time so that even though people get murdered, they can claim they were not caught unawares – even though they were. Since ‘awareness’ requires ‘actionability’ to have any meaning.

  • The Climate Change Question is a Deception to Distract from the Real Problem: Populations and Energy.

    —“Curt: What are your views on anthropogenic climate change?”— The question is not whether the climate is changing (it always does), and not whether we are contributing to it (it seems like we might be), but whether our contributions are meaningful (causing a marginal difference), or whether they are merely noise amidst the normal solar cycles (hard to tell), and whether given that we should be entering another period of cooling (it seems though we are), even if we will raise the temperature, if it’s actually harmful or beneficial. Now, even if that is said we must choose between lowering the consumption of energy, lowering our use of petroleum products, or lowering the size of the population. The evidence would indicate that the most important method of correcting the problem is to convert to nuclear power where possible, and to reduce the population of the planet to the point where we able to consume (convert) as much energy as we possibly can, in order to innovate (and exit the planet) as fast as we can. Or whether we expand the population indefinitely. This is the real debate. And the rest of it’s all lies as far as I can understand. 1B seems to be a good top number for a planet like earth.
