Sorry. I don’t make mistakes. Marxism: end of private property. Libertarianism: end of common property. Two wonderful fantasies neither of which can survive market competition. Which is why neither has or ever will.

@curtdoolittle @GloboHomoCorp @jcjray @paulg Absolutely cannot be communism of the commons, given it’s based on private relationships, direct fee payments, and service subscriptions – that’s the complete opposite of what you’re asserting.

—“Well, what’s the difference between NS and propertarianism?”—

The similarity is nationalism, intolerance, emphasis on commons rather than consumption, and identity.

The difference is the monarchy and the traditional government, with extremely limited (and strict) constraints on the government, and liability for anyone who serves in government.

—“I haven’t really seen how a future Propertarian government would anoint their ruler.”–

Its because aside from monarchy, I simply list the choices of government and leadership available, and tell people to make the choice most relative for their population and its demographics. In other words, it’s under rule of law the means of producing commons (‘ruler’) varies by condition (war, normalcy, windfalls), size of the population (small, medium, large), and the demographics (high quality, medium, low quality) .

That said everything else is the same.

—” is Propertarianism traditionalist Libertarianism with teeth and logic? And an emphasis on spiritualism and identity?”–

It’s the western tradition of sovereign men, updated to be pessimistic about the left.

    THE COMMONS OF NOMOCRACY

    by Bill Joslin

Nomocracy (Rule of Law) is a Commons. The forms of rule, outlined by Aristotle, describe the cycle of competition to gain a monopoly over the commons (to seize control of it).

    Nomocracy exists as a commons.

[Nomocracy, under everyman a Sheriff (contract and criminal law separated from legislative and regulatory institutions), exists as a commons, where all contribute via participation in lawful behaviour, as well as execution of the law and all who do so reap the benefits – a type of property.)]

An end to the many *-ocracies (forms of rule which monopolize law) could end civilizational cycles.

Yes. Like many things our ‘taste’ consists of personal associations (subjective) to objective measures. We can measure the quality of art. “Your taste is a measure of you, not art.” So like vocabulary, or manners, or style, or other opinion, we retain some constant values, but learn to improve our taste: a skill.
