When I first read basic economics I remember realizing for the first time my intuition about the left all of those years had been correct. It felt good.Mar 19, 2019, 10:52 AMEthan TriceSowell always struck me as overrated. I wouldn’t have known. What authors would you suggest on economics? I’m always looking for more material.Mar 19, 2019, 11:57 AMDavid CunninghamEthan Trice what makes Sowell such a good writer is how hard he hits the points home, and how he uses real life examples to show what he says isn’t BS, and how well he can explain complicated stuff to laymanMar 19, 2019, 12:37 PMEthan TriceJim Jimmbo honestly, he just seems like a retreading of Hayek (and to a lesser degree Friedman and Rothbard). Obviously Locke and Smith are the two main foundational economists in Anglo-American thought. While more philosophical than economic, Bastiat, Chase Rachels and Hoppe (only read articles of Hoppe, none of his full books) are great.Mar 19, 2019, 1:48 PMClifton KnoxRight on Curt.Mar 19, 2019, 3:11 PMDerek YoungGoing to hell in a handbasket…Mar 19, 2019, 4:43 PMPaul BardHe seems explicitly ideological rather than simply explaining the subject to me.Mar 21, 2019, 3:21 AM
—“Regarding civil war scenario, the Left will not be able to boil this frog slowly enough to avoid civil war – they are not capable of it, because they act purely on instinct, which will trigger the Right. At the latest, when it becomes obvious to most of the grassroots right that the Left will win all the elections going forward.”—John Mark

—“The White Right is going to coalesce around something, and that something is an updated/improved constitution + law. Nothing else is viable. Nothing else can be sold to the broad bulk of the right-leaning masses. (And there are huge benefits for everyone else too, e.g. bankers btfo, which will make pushback very hard for any opposition movement.) We have it ready to go. No one else has anything close. It’s pretty much that simple. Hugs brother.”— John Mark
People feel no sense of control. Most of this is due to the fact that they don’t, the rest to the media, the rest to the destruction of the family, the rest to mobility.
