( So here is the thing. Thanks to my family, I seem to have physically recovered from the past two years, and have most of my health under control again. And while some of it is diet and environment, I assume it is also dependent upon the season. No matter what I do, supplements included, the winters are just brutal for me, and I perform poorly from november to march. Now, if I work on both coding and writing it is too draining, and both suffer. writing requires contemplation and synthesis (free association) and is tolerant of constant trial and error. Coding requires disciplined short term memory, and is intolerant of trial and error. And so it is very much like thinking with different parts of your brain. I attribute the difficulty to the learning curve. Interestingly, managing projects, designing features, testing doesn’t stress me but the coding seems to. This decline in my functionality is more evident in my writing than my coding. But I have definitely been overdoing the coding such that I’m making less progress by devoting more time to it. When after I’ve eaten and slept I solve in a moment what had frustrated me for hours the night before. So this is putting additional stress on me since I don’t seem to be able to code as many hours as I used to. I’ve been slowly cutting out the negative people from my social group and this has helped. I’m still very stressed about my friends and family in Ukraine, and how much I miss them. I try not to think about it.)
