    OVERSING UPDATE

    We launched our first two major beta customer’s on the Oversing Platform this week. Roman and I are devoted to one beta site each. I suppose maybe we could handle a third but that’s probably our limit. We can’t name names, of course, but we’re shaking out the bugs in the real world environment now.

    It’s fascinating to watch people get blown away by Oversing.

    Still have one Javascript feature I can’t seem to tackle – mostly because I can’t afford a month to devote to it.

    We designed oversing so that we could process charges, invoices and payments by program (project). But for my site, we’re upgrading the financial features to process transactions at the Deliverable, Story, Task and Subtask levels. (I should have done it this way in the first place really, now that I realize it).

    So we’re activating:

    a. Lead Entity Type Allow salespeople to open and work a lead.

    And we’re adding:

    b. Deal Entity Type (Bid Submit/Invite) (for Project, deliverable, story, task, ticket) Allow users to place bids on Work, (project, deliverable, story, task, ticket)

    c. Sub-Contract Entity Type (with multiple subtypes – for various sub agreements at the project/task level)

    d. Escrow Entity Type (For deliverable, story, task, ticket)

    e. Invoice Entity Type (for bid entity type)

    f. Payment Entity Type (for bid entity type, or Escrow Entity Type)

    g. Receipt Entity Type (for Payment Entity Type)

    So if you manage a lot of subcontractors or freelancers oversing will make it easier to pay these folk.

    Working on Law this week. Mostly origins and evolution of common law. The dependence upon Precedent because of the inability to determine first causes (involuntary transfer of property in toto) and to rely on strict construction in the construction of arguments.

    My next issue is what we call risk (uncertainty) in testimony.

    WHY IS CURT SO QUIET? HE’S WORKING ON A BOOK. THAT’S WHY.

    Well, really, it’s a couple of things.

    (1) As you might know I kind of burned out there, and was sick for a bit because of it. So I’ve been trying to repay my sleep debt. Takes a month or so to do it. Some people say three or four. I dunno. When I’ve had to go to the hospital for exhaustion before it takes me about six weeks of down time. Then another month or so to fully recover. I don’t think I”m in quite that bad a shape this time. I feel pretty good now.

    (2) I got very tired of the negativity when I was sick. Which is why I pushed back on some of the alt-right folks. I’m about solutions not complaints and when my emotional and physical batteries were drained I just found the internet an extremely painful place. Libertarians may be idealistic whackos but they’re largely positive. That’s the libertarian job: to seek ideals. To cooperate. The alt right might be pessimistic but they’re also largely negative. That’s the right’s job in the division of reproductive labor: to worry. To defend. but they’re just so negative that I couldn’t bear it. Well all know the left is just a bunch of opportunistic hyper-consuming kleptocrats so I just ignore them as a bunch of gossips. But when you’re burned out it’s too much to bear any of it.

    (3) I have switched over to working on the book. That means I”m mostly done sketching ideas here unless it helps me think things through. For those that don’t know, the purpose of my work for the past DECADE has been what we’ve been calling ‘propertarianism’ but is really the unwritten philosophy (culture/cult) of the west. What was called Heroic, Teutonic, Monarchic, or Aryanism in the last century. But that know we know is the culture of the Yamnaya (nobility, horse riders, bronze users).

    (4) Oversing needs me to write a mini-spec for one of the features that isn’t quite complete. And then I”ll work on Tutorial documentation now and then. But working on it for four months straight is part of what burned me out. So I’ll work on philosophy until I hit a block and toggle back and forth.

    (I importing all the articles for 2015/2016 into Scrivener and organizing them by topic…. damn I write a LOT OF STUFF. About 100K words per quarter JUST on my website. I probably write half as much again … maybe more than that, that doesn’t end up there. And in Q1, on top of that 100K words, I wrote help for the product as well and that’s another 80K words. That’s insane. That’s like ‘an 80K word book a month’.)

  • I have spent much of the past year on religion and revolution – what I consider

    I have spent much of the past year on religion and revolution – what I consider practical issues not theoretical ones. And because of current events in world politics I’ve put perhaps too much of my energies there. And I must admit that these subjects are more popular, socially rewarding, and temporally relevant to others than the more fundamental work I have done. But it is the fundamental work I have done that solves the deep problems of philosophy. The rest is the work of mere public intellectuals riding the waves of common sentiment.

    What remains now is to first, string it all together into the shortest work that I can. That part is easy at this point. The hard parts are purely technical: To demonstrate the full testimonial method. To demonstrate how to use strict construction. To suggest various constitutions, and institutions.

    I cannot tell whether I under or overestimate the work. I think a sparse quotable argument, open to contemplation, is better than a long descriptive one pedantically written.

    I will just work until I am done.

    Thanks for an interesting question by Megan Cyloneight today, I was able to understand that I had to add ‘prosecution’ to the curriculum, in order to change the student of western civilization from a christian servant to an aristocratic judge.

    0) The matters of europa (ancient literature): Fairy Tales, Myths, Histories.

    1) Grammar, Rhetoric, Logic, Testimony, Prosecution.

    2) Propertarian psychology, economics, sociology, politics, evolutionary strategy, war.

    It is no use reserving prosecution and war for the adults. Enfranchise them all.
