We worship our ancestors because we have ancestors worthy of worship.
Alexander began as a real person.
Aristotle began as a real person.
Charlemagne began as a real person.
Sigurd began as a real person.
Arthur began as a real person.
Washington began as a real person.
We have hundreds more like them.
AFAIK, There is no consensus on Odin other than he was indigenous to the western indo europeans, but it is increasingly likely that a real person (prophet, teacher, leader) was somehow integrated with the sky father (thor) and eventually succeeded him. So there is some clash or integration of the split between the east vedics, and the integration of at least the two traditions of the sky father and the leader. The romans could not understand except by analogy and have tainted the record it seems.

One Moral + One Immoral Acts in the Universe
There is an objective morality to the universe that can be honed down into one moral and one immoral act.
The holiest thing one can do is succeed. The Greatest sin is failure.
Should an animal find a mate and reproduce, it’s genes pass on and it, in this way, achieves an extension of life, a conditional immortality.
If it does not, the “Gods” condemn it to be erased from the Earth. A vague memory, a fossil, if that.
This simple law, the law which governs all living creatures, is the only morality which exists. This is the true will of God. This is the only Divine Truth.
There are no miracles. No magic men in the sky. There is merely iron and stone, flesh and blood, struggle and the will to power.
All other beliefs are merely delusions, and stray from the true nature of our world with predictable results.
Monks could not have sex.
Thus the monks died in service of an imaginary God and their genetics died with them.
Abandoning the one true God, that of natural law, will destroy your soul in a much more immediate way than some illusion of fire and brimstone.

Freshness of Sensation: Math, Philosophy, Poetry
These disciplines provide opportunity for creative mines to continuously produce the sense of novelty at zero economic cost. The important idea here is ‘zero cost’. Math, Poetry, and Philosophy, and even perhaps the three act narrative, prevent the pseudoscientific, pseudorational, and pseudoscientific, if they are taught as measurement (math), experience (poetry) law (philosophy), and play (literature).
For those of us in ‘need’ of continuous novelty (and who would die of tedium and regularity), these disciplines provide endless opportunity for novelty. novelty prevents the depression of the jaded: nihilism.
As a child I would plan what I would think of when I would go to bed, because I needed a problem to think about or visualize to go to sleep. In college I suffered for studying art which required travel and supplies rather than philosophy which required nothing more than access to a library. As an adult I needed the same every day – software provides that – and when software became obvious and repetitious – economics and philosophy filled the gap. At this stage of my intellectual development I understand that narrative poetry in particular, (not the postmodern nonsense that is a substitute for it) is essential to the training of the mind as is math and law. And the fact that we do not teach literature as the science of continuous change of archetypes, such that the puzzle pieces of narrative are as logical as any other discipline – a lost opportunity for all.
We must understand that those lacking these abilities must in the end resort to entertainment provided by others, by consumption, or by self medication. And they much choose between nihilism and loneliness, or optimizing and socializatiion. And the answer is pretty clear which group is happiest.

FOR MY FRIENDS IN AFRICA
As you know, I am not a fan of colonialism, and I don’t tolerate foreign rule for other than purposes of self-defense until the polity can be reformed with a non-hostile government.
I am not necessarily against Africa for Africans, as long as this is reciprocal. On the other hand I am not in favor of us hurting each other to achieve that end.
So my support for south Africa is that the data is supportive of the ethnic Europeans, and that the native people will not achieve improved lives, only eliminate exposure to vast differences in equality that create envy and status signal frustration. I do not discount the value of eliminating competitors from one’s homeland. I don’t.
That said, if Africa is to be for Africans, and these colonists out, then they must be compensated at market prices, including the cost of relocation. If those costs cannot be paid now, then it must be achieved slowly, and without bloodshed.
I mean, what is the difference between the white settler in south Africa and the Jewish settler in Europe? There isn’t any. Whites are prohibited from such action, so why are not Africans? If Africans are permitted this action, then why not other peoples? It is this ‘unsettled’ question that is the great debate of our time.
My position is that ethnocentrism and separatism allow us all the benefits of homogeneity, and all the benefits of diversity through trade.
