My post popular articles? They’re on fashion. Yep. My next most popular articles? On relationships and sex. Of course. Next most popular articles? On business. Yep.

Why do I bother writing about Political Economy and Economic Philosophy?

I studied fine art. I studied art history. I can render, I can sculpt, I can design architecture. I can write hella-good art criticism. (It’s almost impossible to study fine art any longer in the west.)

I also studied painting. But I can’t paint. I’ll never be able to paint. Ever. I just don’t have the color sense. But I studied painting anyway, despite the fact that I’m terrible at it.

I choose political economy to write about (what institutions, both formal and informal allow people to cooperate in large numbers to produce prosperity – or not produce it. I choose economic philosophy to write about (what’s possible to accomplish with numbers, and what’s not). I choose political philosophy to write about (how people make decisions as groups, and what decisions they will make.) I choose Cultural Economics to write about (how different informal cultural value judgements have vast consequences.)

I write about what people don’t care about. It’s a sickness. It must be. 🙂

    Masochism. 🙂

Weight of 192 today. That’s as good as my best 3 years ago. It’s some kind of barrier though. Hard to get into the 180’s in the past. 185 is probably a pretty good weight for me. I doubt I could to 175 without losing muscle mass. I got there in 1996 briefly from that flu that killed all those people in europe. Anyway, slowly improving my health. Slowly.

Sulfite poisoning all week. Started last Friday night (vinegar maybe?). More on saturday (scone mix), not sure what on monday or tuesday, but suspect it was something in a hamburger. Yesterday I pretty much don’t remember, except for an irregular heart beat. Fuzzy still today. So, I don’t know if getting off the stuff is making me more sensitive, or if it’s just that I understand it. But the only solution I can find online is massive b-vitamin doses.

I suppose my doctor is going to say ‘…that’s really bad’. But ever since the deal closed my body is a very different place: colors look brighter and my blood pressure is so low that I’ve had to cut the prescription dose by a third in order to keep from getting dizzy. …. I think that means I was under too much stress.

Chatting with Amanda on Google Video for two hours. It’s the secret to a long distance relationship. Trying to get Visual Studio installed so I can look at the architecture of a complex bit of software we might want to buy. (Code should only require a text editor and a command line in my world.) Cooking my own dry aged Ribeye with cracked pepper and mustard, with green beans. And writing a piece on IQ and political ideology – fascinating. A beautiful day.

OK. So now “Milk and Cream” go on the allergy list. Even milk in coffee is out. Damn. Thank god for soy milk or Alpen cereal with berries would be off the menu too.

What sins are left to enjoy? No alcohol, chocolate, and Milk or Milk products – including cheesecake, means desserts are almost always out. No preservatives – including fruit that’s been exposed to sulfur gas. Nothing that comes from a grape, including vinegar. Lemon juice from a bottle is out. Basalmic vinegar.

Basically If I can’t raise it in the back yard, fish it out of a river, or grow it in a garden, I can’t eat it. Probiotics are a gift from heaven. Why did I have to be 50 to figure all this out? Why isn’t it more public knowledge that white people simply should not eat dairy products?

    Sigh.
