    (Diary)
Ruminations: Brad and I lamenting that it will likely be a generation before our innovation in unification is widely understood and applied. For example, philosophy is as ‘over’ as theology. Science is demoted to the previous position of philosophy an empirical discipline. Operationalism now unifies what was science with the structure of the universe’s behavior itself. And our minds adapted to that universe as a consequence. And all disciplines are merely grammars of calculation given the history of man’s ignorance of unification.
Now, there is no way for anyone other than those deeply involved in our work to grasp this isn’t nonsense. But it’s not nonsense. And teh demonstrated improvement in thought of our team is obvious and measurable difference. If you want to increase your demonstrated intelligence by a standard deviation you can take a few years and master our work. If you use AIs to facilitate the application of our methodology then you will accelerate that time frame.
I may have worked for decades to produce this work that is now approximating release as books, an AI, and an application platform, and eventually a Tutor. But in the end it was all just so that I could be understood, and helped people by sharing that understanding.
Why does it matter most? No more lies. No more lies. No more political, economics, scientific, philosophical, ideological, or theological lies.

    (Diary)
I don’t work *for* anyone other than mankind and my people. Otherwise I have customers, partners, and friends. Compensation, when necessary, is just part of the cost of cooperation on one thing vs another thing. As such I have generally built companies that serve others while providing me a vehicle for research and development. 😉

(Explaining this to someone today. Why? Autistic tendency to treat everyone as a peer until proven otherwise; trait disagreeableness meaning non-conformity and preservation of agency (freedom); ADHD that means we can’t focus on it if it isn’t interesting; and lastly that I’ve had a moral mission since I was twelve and I never deviate from it.
Why? Mankind is always running in the dark with a lamp in one hand and scissors in the other. Humans need all the help they can get. 😉 If only so they do less harm to me and those I care about. 😉 )

I do enjoy life and people in western washington state. It’s definitely the world of ‘my people’ so to speak. I feel ‘home’. My health and spirits have recovered here as well.

But I absolutely positively miss, to the point of near tears, and so much so that I can’t dwell on it, writing in cafes in Ukraine and Moscow. Especially during the harsh winters.

I know what the president is trying to do. I do not have a lot of hope that it will work out. But I would really like to spend some part of the rest of my life there. Even if only for a few months.

Most men find peace in one way or another.

    That’s mine. 😉

Is getting into another long term relationship a rational choice if my wants are reducible to someone making me coffee in the morning, and then feeding me at least once a day?

Did you ever notice that when your oversized dog is sleeping quietly, and finally not looking for attention, or playing fetch, or going for a walk, or snacks, or food, or water, or going outside — that if feels just somehow ‘right’ to disturb him or her with affection as retribution?
    Just sayin’. 😉
    Reciprocity in everything. 😉

    (DIary)
One of those little quality of life improvements.
I bought a desktop ice maker from amazon. Because I run out of ice from the refrigerator all the time. That thing only takes about 15 or 20 minutes to produce enough ice to fill two twelve ounce glasses of ice.
I know it sounds silly but when working at my desk I keep (a) cold brewed decaf coffee, (b) coca cola (c) carbonated water (d) occasionally a Corona, and (e) very very occasionally, a bottle of Jack Daniels or Gentleman Jack and a shot glass.
I start my morning with coffee and carbonated water, transition to carbonated water and cola in the afternoon, and carbonated water in the evening. Later in the evening a couple of times a month I have a bottle of corona. And about once a month before I sleep a bit of jack daniels.
But the ice? It’s just refreshing. 😉 … Though, it increases hydration and so it also means more frequent trips to the men’s room. 😉 But that’s ok. It forces you to take a break. 😉
    Small things can improve life.
Traveling for a business, living out of suitcases, and finally living in hotels and tiny apartments overseas, I learned to love a spartan life with minimum ‘things’ to collect, transport, and maintain.
(Personal experience: on top of owning a multinational business, do not buy six cars and two houses especially with acreage if you want to maximize your work and think time. Hopefully the age of ‘stuff’ is coming to an end and the age of ‘people’ will return – albeit slowly.)
But I think the ice maker’s become one of those minimum things. Like an iron for clothing. And of course, all the computer nonsense, and some comfortable and elegant clothes. ;).
PS: I have enough shoes to compete with most women. lol

    Cheers

Landman S1E6, Demi Moore’s character’s home. A house where the artwork isn’t trash – and is actually good, and suits the decor. Amazing. Must be someone’s real home….

    ADD life. 😉
So it’s not like I have it all that bad, but if I forget the scrip, I can get lost in some terribly technical thought or other, and like today, drive fifteen miles past my house, completely oblivious, until some combination of completing my thought and being surprised by the run-down farms and decrepit houses covered in northwest moss catches my attention. 😉
Mostly I take the scripts for the benefit of others – so that I can switch contexts when interacting with them. But this is an example of why it’s actually beneficial for me personally. 😉
Though, spiritually, a thoughtful drive through the countryside isn’t a bad thing by any measure. lol
    Hugs, all…

    (Diary)
I try to keep everyone happy. Most of the time it works. Not always. Sometimes something has to give. And when it does, most people will understand why if you explain it. But otherwise, it’s a strategy that has served me well in activism, business, and in social life. My primary failing is in relationships, but not for reasons. you’d think. It’s almost always because I work myself into exhaustion, the hospital, and ‘shutdown’ such that it affects my girlfriend, fiance, or spouse. It’s never been for any other reason.
This is why I tell people to moderate their career ambitions if it comes at the expense of relationships.
I have a mission I’ve had since the age of twelve, and the truth is that mission, the one I work at every day, is more important to me than family. This probably disqualifies me for family life. But I always thought I could manage my intellectual ambitions, my entrepreneurial ambitions, and my personal life ambitions.
But it turns out you need to be healthy to do that. 😉 And the one sure way to get unhealthy is working obsessively and carrying the stress until your body decides to rebel.
I hope this does someone good. 😉
    Cheers

    (Diary)
Someone who knows of my social media work just told one of my people that he didn’t want to associate with me in business.
    (a) It’s pretty hard to argue with my goals. If you do, it means you’re very likely not a very good person.
    (b) So rejections just means he doesn’t understand the difference between my goals and the process of using social media for research.
    (c) And the means of research I use is controversial in itself because it consists of provocation in order to understand how people react and in particular how they argue.
    (d) money usually overcomes such business objections but then it doesn’t always. 😉

I have paid a terrible price for doing what I do. Money, Relationships, Health. But it’s not as if you see a host of thinkers out there trying to solve the crisis of the age with anything other than retreaded or magical ideas.

My work stands. It always will.
