    THE DOOLITTLE (SCIENTIFIC) POLITICAL CHART

The only meaningful notion of ‘right’ and ‘left’ that I can state existentially is k-selection (right/masculine ), vs r-selection (left/feminine-universal) since these are opposing strategies with libertarianism (voluntary cooperation) achievable as a compromise between the two strategies. (that is how I see we minority libertarians: providing a compromise between the genders through voluntary cooperation).

As far as I know we must talk in at least three dimensions to discuss options on political orders.

1 – Organization of production – distribution of property

    <—centralized—————-meritocratic—————–equal—>

    <—tyranny———————-liberty———————-communism->

2 – Organization of production of the commons – the fruits of production

    <—-centralized—————meritocratic—————- equal—>

    <—-tyranny———————–liberty——————–communism->

    3 – Organization of Reproduction – National(kin) or Corporate(kin-independent)

    <—-authoritarian(personal)—–kin/nation————corporate–>

    <—-???——————————Eugenic—————Dysgenic—>

    <—K-selection…………………. merit selection…….. r-selection—>

And to construct these organizations we require incentives:

4 – Weapon of Influence (methods of organization)

    <—-Violence———————–Exchange————-Gossip——–>

    <—-Loss of Life/harm…..loss of consumption….loss of cooperation–>

    <—-Promise of safety….promise of consumption… promise of cooperation->

So it is indeed impossible to construct an r-selected order non-parasitically. Because that’s precisely what it means. And it is so because we must produce incentive to engage in costly production if we are human (k-selection), even though the herd must just graze on whatever grass is available (r-selection).

This is the Doolittle chart, not the Nolan Chart.

This chart unifies all disciplines from biology to politics to economics.

This chart is consistently explanatory across all political orders.

So as far as I know any OTHER method of representing the organization of Production(consumption), commons(investment) and reproduction(perpetuation) is a distraction for the purpose of achieving an alternate end other than the true and moral.

CURT, WHAT DO YOU CALL AN OBSERVATION?

    (frowns)

    “An observation”

    Observation–>Fact as Hypothesis -> Theory

Observations that survive criticism are facts.

Hypotheses that survive criticism are theories.

I may observe and err. A fact survives tests that I err/bias/think-wishfully/deceive in my observations.

In other words, truth candidacy is a product of survival.

    THE CONSTRUCTION OF A FACT

    1) something to observe

    2) an observer to witness it

    3) (possibly) a method of observation (“instrumentation”)

    4) a method of recording (memory or instrumentation)

    5) a method of criticizing the observation to eliminate error, bias, wishful thinking, and deceit from the record (memory).

If we cannot find a way to falsify the record then we may morally claim it is a truth candidate, and therefore a fact.

Some observations are easy to test: “john wrote that post”.

Some observations are harder to test: “that car hit the pedestrian”.

Some observations are very hard to test: last year’s faster than light problem due to improper fitting of a connector.

It’s not hard guys unless you confuse the application of justifiction (law) to criticism (science). Which is common.

ARGUMENTATIVE ASSISTANCE FOR STUDENTS OF DEBATE

1 – “Anecdotal evidence is a contradiction in terms. One either has sufficient data to eliminate more parsimonious alternatives, wishful thinking, and error, or one is engaged in justification of a prior, with or without your knowledge and understanding of it.”

2 – “Outliers do not distributions make. The terms Men, Women, Class, Race, and Culture refer to distributions not outliers. Outliers are not evidence of anything except noise.”

3 – “The central objective of political representation is to do no harm, not to find an imaginary perfect candidate, and not to give everyone a chance to rule. Exceptional people are marginally indifferent and learn by doing.”

    INFORMATION VS KNOWLEDGE VS UNDERSTANDING

Some predictions require information (facts within the context).

Some predictions require knowledge (of operations and processes)

Some predictions require understanding (of deterministic relations and limits)

Most predictions requires all of the above.

The difficulty of a prediction is the inverse of the information, knowledge and understanding available, times the volatility (limits) in our understanding.

Taleb’s interesting question is whether we can somehow quantify this ratio.

Which I intuit is possible but assume we need vastly more precise data than we have today.

Q&A: —“Curt, what are commons in the framework of propertarianism? How are they constructed, and what advantages do they confer?”—

Property: that which I bear costs to obtain without imposing cost upon that which others have born costs to obtain.

Shareholder Property: That which I have born cost to obtain an interest in without imposing costs upon that which others have born costs to obtain an interest, but which I may not privatize, wherein the property ownership is articulated, and non-transferrable without group permission.

Common property: That which I have born cost to obtain an interest in without imposing costs upon that which others have born costs to obtain an interest, but which I may not privatize, wherein the property ownership is weakly articulated and is transferrable through reproduction to one’s offspring and mates.

Property en toto: referring to that which people demonstrate acting to obtain without imposing costs upon that which others have acted to obtain, and for which they demonstrate retaliation for imposition of costs upon. This includes but is not limited to: life, kin, mates, physical, normative, traditional, and institutional assets.

Positive/Negative Costs: While some physical assets are purchased through direct payment (positive costs), some assets are purchased through indirect payment that we call ‘restraint’ or ‘deprivation’ or ‘forgone opportunity for consumption’ (negative costs).

Homesteading of Opportunities produced by the commons is permissible (competition), but transfer of assets already homesteaded requires productive, fully informed, warrantied, voluntary transfer, free of imposition of costs upon the property en toto of others by externality.

    THE LOGICAL INVERSION

As people congregate and develop normative institutions they are able to develop increasingly dense common property which in turn produces lower cost opportunities.

“we are not wealthier than cave men, we have made all goods and services infinitely cheaper through cooperation in a division of perception, cognition, knowledge, labor and advocacy.”

Hence collections of people create discounts on opportunities (time) which are then open to identification (experimentation) and homesteading (transformation), into private property, which may then be consumed, inventoried, or invested in the commons.

Getting one’s head around the fact that we improve rates of everything in time, and that we cannot know truth only falsehoods, and that we pay for commons both directly via payment or indirectly by forgone opportunities is a sort of inversion of the way we look at history. So it may seem counter intuitive at first until we grasp that time is our only existential asset and that the division of labor eliminates switching costs in exchange for increased productivity. And that the principle value of population density is the cheapness with which opportunities are constructed. And that the principle value of property rights is to reduce transaction costs in the process of production that we call cooperation in a division of labor.

THE FIRST FORM OF CAPITAL: TIME, AND VIOLENCE

    (very important)

Time is neutral. It is put either to good ends or bad.

Violence is neutral. It is either put to good ends or bad.

Money is neutral. It is either put to good ends or bad.

Law is neutral. It is put to either good ends or bad.

Action is neutral. It is put to either good ends or bad.

Violence is however, the first capital upon which all other capital is constructed and preserved. If you lack violence-capital, lack legal capital, lack economic capital, and lack territorial capital, you lack cultural capital, and lack genetic capital.

The origin of wealth is not trade, it is violence used to prohibit non trade.

THE SILVER RULE IS THE ORIGIN OF COOPERATION

    THEFT

The only ‘shame’ is theft. The only oath, not to lie, cheat, steal or impose harm. The summary of this ethic is: “Do not unto others as you would not want done unto you.” The anglo saxons were right and the Christians wrong.

    MORALITY (RULE OF COOPERATION)

The silver rule is necessary for cooperation. The golden rule buys options on future cooperation – but encourages parasitism.

    ACQUIRE

We act upon that which we have acquired without imposition of costs upon that which others have acquired by doing the same.

    COOPERATE

We act in concert to voluntarily produce common goods and services.

    WARRANTY

We warranty the truthfulness of our speech by due diligence in the cleansing of error, bias, imagination, wishful thinking, and deceit from our speech.

    INSURE

We insure one another against the imposition of costs by collective suppression of free riding by collective prosecution of those who impose costs upon others.

    INVEST

We invest in the construction of commons for the production of returns, and we deny one another the ability to impose costs upon them.
