No one would let him. No general will tolerate a dictator to begin a nuclear war that will kill all his people. We know this. they know this. Putin would be dead. That’s why he hasn’t done it. That’s why he talks aobut it … to satisfy hard liners while he seeks a way out.

UA will emerge in nato and in the EU, and with RU defeat, offer to integrate RU into nato so USA can leave it. THis is necessary for RU survival. Everyone wins.

RU military has learned nother since WW2 and still fights via authority and hierarchy while USA is current in doctrine strategy wapons, and tactics, and made UA equally as rapidly adaptive. Add RU rail dependency and lack of trucks, and they were sitting ducks for UA lt infantry.

Putin did a fantastic job of insulating RU from sanctions -at least for the short term, after 2014. But his intel lied to him that the UA people would welcome him, his miltary was so gutted by corruption he didn’t know, its condition and DOD’d trained UA to fight using US tactics

Because demographic data is worse, we didn’t act in georgia, we didn’t act in 2014, biden appeared weak and incompetent, NATO appeared to be falling apart, DEU was now dependent for 25% of energy on RU, and UA was preparing to take back the breakaway provinces and kick RU out.

Putin isn’t crazy. He fell into the trap of dictators and was fooled by the corrupt hierarchy he created in his self defense. IMO as a cancer survivor myself, the illness and steroids caused him to fantasize a bit, and seek a legacy while the US had a weak president (biden).

US’s consensus opinion is that if RU used tacticals, NATO would use conventionals to eradicate the RU military abroad, including not only UA, but the navy in the seas. However, it would depend on how it was used. and as I understand it they’d take out Putin in his bunker as well

I don’t know why you think that makes any sense. US created and pays for the world system of finance and trade, and polices that system. it cannot ever tolerate the use of nuclear weapons as this licenses others to do so. To maintain that suppression of nukes, USA will act.
