So decoupling will be the shakeup, but it’s only sensible once the contraction fully kicks in – especiallly as it hits DEU manufacturing. Then USA is in optimum negotiating position with the west against CN.

US DOD figures (correctly) that AI is the next strategic military advantage, so they are trying to slow CN, because CN currently has the lead, b/c CN CCP treats it as strategic military investment. USA is just starting to, but not funding it enough to make it so.

Yes, well US Exec/State/DOD are applying US strategy, which is to ‘killing you softly and slowly’. AFAIK it’s in US interest to use the coming contraction for a total decoupling with CN. But this most recent move is just slowing CN AI development that’s all. Not decoupling.

I don’t know any geostrategist that doesn’t predict Scandinavia + anglosphere (UK, US, CN, AUS, NZ) + Japan (islands) Ias a deterministic block, with western continent (world island), india, eastern continent around china (world island), as the emerging blocks, with SA, AF open.
