PUTIN TAKES ON FAREED ZAKARIAH

(Mr. Putin takes a little too much advantage of the cowardice of his debate partners. )

So as a pro-Russian western intellectual, living in Ukraine, I’ll “Stay-on-Message” regarding Russia’s position in the world:

1) The west’s democratic, individualist, universalist, hyper-consumptive, corporate capitalist, pseudo-intellectual ideology, has been a catastrophic a failure that has destroyed the civilization in less than a century, and both eastern Europeans and Russians are right to reject it in favor of preserving Nation, Family, ‘Church’, and Tradition, as the central objects of all political policy.

2) Putin err’d as much as western neoconservative ideologues err’d, when he failed to take Russia’s message to the American people (as for example, Israel does), by slowly educating westerners on the importance of uniting ‘the circumpolar civilization’ we called ‘christendom’. There is a strange assumption among the Russian elite that American politicians do what they do by design, by planning, rather than out of utopian optimism sponsored by our universalist Academy (intellectual class at American universities and press. We’d ask Russians to remember that both their indo-european expansionism and American indo-european expansionism, out of self-defense against ‘the hordes at our borders’, is a shared value that predates both our nations and our peoples, and likely our languages.

3) Putin was the most powerful politician in the world in 2013, and he should simply admit that he ‘blinked’ and gave the worst elements of American ideology broad new powers, by invading Ukraine under the cover of propaganda and deception, rather than by simply taking the message to the world that this was necessary and justifiable AND that Russia would PAY Ukraine for the territory – territory Ukrainians wanted to be rid of because of the political conflict caused between the native Ukrainians and western resettled-Russians in the Donbas basin where Russian military production was centered.

4) By threatening all of eastern Europe with invasion, by continued threats, Putin has given Nato – meaning Americans – justification for expanding in Europe, when the Americans were less than a generation away from total withdrawal from Europe.

SUMMARY

Russians must understand that as hard as it is to believe, American people are well meaning fools. And that Russians can save not only themselves, but the west, and all of Christendom if they will have the patience to understand that Russian leadership is necessary for all of us. Not because we are somehow different.

BUT BECUASE WESTERNERS HAVE BECOME IDEOLOGICALLY DISCONNECTED FROM THE REALITY THAT FACES MANKIND: Western, Anglo-Saxon, high-trust civilization, is not the result of high-mindedness, nor of democracy, but the result of centuries of experience building commercial and middle class behavior, norms, customs, laws, and institutions into majority behavior, while at the same time aggressively hanging one-percent of the troublesome population every year, and controlling the reproduction of the underclasses through preventing access to farmland. Democracy is a luxury good useful for the auctioning of a conquered north American landmass to immigrating Europeans lacking a traditional nobility or upper class with generations of experience at land-management. Selling off a continent to immigrants has been profoundly profitable for the west. (Something which Russians cannot do since Siberian territory is not desirable for living conditions). And western wealth is the product of the combination of historical western commercial inventiveness, technological inventiveness, and legal and financial inventiveness made possible by cultural high trust, the unification of state and commerce, and the results of colonialism.

The western model is an absurd luxury good that cannot be replicated by other peoples who do not yet possess the same small underclass, high trust, expansive middle class, financial and legal technologies, and combined state-commercial institutions.

RUSSIANS MUST UNDERSTAND AND EDUCATE THE WEST.

Please Lead. The west needs your leadership.

You may need our trust, our rule of law, and our beneficial state-commercial institutions. You do need them. But we need your pragmatic understanding of mankind, and Christendom’s challenges in the face of mankind.
