  • So this is what I have learned: – I am dependent. I cannot be dependent upon men

So this is what I have learned:

    – I am dependent. I cannot be dependent upon men. I feel unsafe in Ukraine, mostly because I can’t speak the language, but also because of money, and because of cultural differences – which is why I seek women to provide me comfort and women to act as intermediaries.

    – I feel unsafe because of Veronika. Not only that she is a cost, but that she terrorizes me. I don’t see any of the other girls improving that condition.

    – I don’t see anything coming of the relationship with tati.

    – My loneliness is satisfied by my work friends, and my writing and popularity.

    – I am unsure but it is just as likely that I would be happy with an assistant/housekeeper since I really do not care if I get other attention from a room mate.

    – best and cheapest answer is to go solo with an assistant to help me.

    – Love the idea of being near Don. Also feels like fate. I try to listen to fate.

    – Think I might be better off in Seattle, but can’t afford an assistant there.

    – Best answer is to keep as assistant, tati, abandon the costs of the others, and forget them and see how the year plays out.

    – stay here in tallinn while the divorce plays out?

I felt a victim of my predatory government in the states. I feel the stress of poverty, corruption, and poor infrastructure in Ukraine – as well as the pressure of language. In Estonia I feel ‘safe’ or ‘comfortable’ for the fist time that I can remember. I can speak english. People are civil in proper protestant fashion, everything works, shops have stock.

(Genetic pacification pacifies one’s governors as well you know.)

(Usually I carry two laptops when I travel. But it’s a very heavy thing to do. I am considering getting an iPad and the software to use it as an external monitor. But it’s like 600 bucks plus the software, cover and stand, and a keyboard if I want one. Whereas another Macbook Air(not retina), new Macbook (retina), or Macbook pro 13″ retina is only another 1000-1400. I am very down on the new macbooks – they’re really expensive and have only one port. So they’re a no-go. Not sure what I should do. Advice welcome. Thanks.)

(My waitress speaks Estonian, Russian, English, German, Italian, Spanish, French, and Czech. Damn. And she’s a waitress. I can fake my way through travel german, french, Spanish, and Italian with a week or two of exposure. I can pretty much read German but I have to look up a bunch of the words, and I get the gist of Russian well enough to read newspapers. I guess learning curt-speak has taken all my efforts. But I am humbled by these people with four or more languages. Yesterday another waitress went from table to table and it was funny to watch that she could switch between languages easily, except switching away from Russian made her get stuck. So to mess with her, I switched between Russian and English. She laughed.)

(Hobbiton. This lovely little 23 room hotel in Tallinn is in an ancient house, and the doors and staircase headers are even a bit short for me. It’s no wonder I feel comfortable here. It’s like Hobbiton. lol )
