TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGIN’ : MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE

Roman got engaged yesterday to lovely Yulia. I hope they breed the brood that they both desire. Roman is my closest friend, business partner, advisor, editor. Yulia is ‘the kind of woman you want to marry’. As you know, I think the family is a sacred and beautiful thing.

At the same time, I have done just the opposite. Most people know that Veronika and I had a marriage of convenience. I have been living on the other side of the country for much of the past year. It is not that we were not close friends, we were, but it was not a marriage in practice. It is no longer convenient. And as most of you know, while we were great friends, we are not at all compatible. Or as one friend says a ‘Misalliance’. So I have filed for divorce. As such, I have found that it is better to state truth early, than try to counter rumors. There is nothing here that close friends do know know or expect.

Given that she is such a great friend, I hope some smart person out there that has met her at PFS or through the Libertarian movement, or knows her through me sees this as an opportunity. (Especially if you’re taller than I am.) Even though I am attractive to a certain type of woman, I am nearly impossible to live with – as you can imagine. And she can put up with anything. 😉 V is a lot of fun, cunning, and can see through people to their core at a glance.

I thank her for all she has done for me, and that we have done together. But it’s time to move forward for both of us.
