China has a fraction of the military, financial capacity, so why do we see china not declining? Because the USA is a mess – in one of our periods of chaos. No nation is eternal. But we see a rising china that is in greater risk than the USA.

The USA won’t cede the region. Doesn’t believe china can mount an invasion of Taiwan. And china doesn’t want to take a risk. So it’s in a difficult position in relation to the USA. China is embattled – borderlands, indians, hong kong, yet pubilc opinion is that china is rising.
