    PETERSON: ONLY SIGNIFICANT CRITICISM

Central, and Only Significant Criticism: I am not keen on Peterson’s restoration of Stoicism while at the same time preserving the semitic (suffering) rather than the greek (tragic-heroic). There is nothing good in the semitic myths that is not better provided by the european myths. Nothing. And it is those semitic myths, suffering, and submission that were and are the antithesis of tragedy, and heroism upon which all western civilization developed in the ancient and modern worlds.

I am finally getting to understand how Orthodox civ (post soviet) interprets criticism of the church given the good it has done for them. This is a rather significant problem because christianity in a traditional society like theirs retains its counterbalance to the state. So a christian is a good person in orthodoxy, whereas a natural law constitutionalist so to speak is that person in america and a bit less so in the UK until their empire collapsed under them and they fell into french virtue signaling. We have a different problem here.

Put the fun and personal profit back in warfare and you’ll have a 100,000 men acting about dishing out the ultra violence, doing the old in-out, in-out, and making Clockwork Orange look like a Disney love story.”— James Santagata

The peace of Westphalia was a mistake.)

—“What bothers me is the over-reliance of Western civ on Abrahamic religion. I was brought up Christian and don’t want to get into details on FB but let’s just say it was not a happy upbringing. In my mind these things became polarized so that “diversity” seemed like only way to undo or escape the harshness of how I was brought up. The only thing that really changed my mind is seeing how much worse it can be with diversity. That’s when I realized the concept of “diversity” had became synonymous with a strategy not to be oppressed or abused.”—Jennifer Dean

—“Will you allow the greatest civilization ever built to be destroyed because you fear being called a racist? Or because you accepted the false God of equality? Or because liberalism and capitalism brainwashed you into mass consumerism and materialism? Or because of the obsession over ever expanding “rights”? Why do you accept the insanity that people lower than you should be “equal in the eyes of the law”? You know they’re not equal to you for a reason, right? Or will you stand for truth, duty, reciprocity, and rule of law at any cost?”— @Chris M. Silbaugh

STOMPING ON THE BUNNIES OF YOUR SELF WORTH

(important if your self worth can tolerate it)

—“Religion is what you do every day . doctrine and dogma are your expressions of your mental interpretations of your belief system.”— Ken Duggan

    Well, again,that’s a falsehood.

A religion consists of a false presumption or more, a false promise or more, a set of narratives within those falsehoods, a set of rituals that demonstrate your investments in them, and a group strategy produced by all of the above.

One can theorize (science and history), philosophize (reason and ideals), or fictionalize (theology and myths).

A scientist doesn’t lie about that distinction. Both philosophers and theologians do.

The reason you resort to religion is because the painful truth of your market value to others is too low to rely on philosophy (reason and ideals) or science science and the real).

This illusion of self worth, social worth, market worth, is the ‘payment’ you receive in the form of mindfulness, in exchange for investing in training your intuition to calculate in falsehoods.

Because in reality – few of us have much worth other than that we do no harm. And the benefits of the market created by doing no harm exist for us despite the fact that we have little or no value other than doing no harm.

If that does not crush your ego, I don’t know what will.

But that is the undeniable, painful, undesirable truth.

Most people are dead weight on Mankind and The Planet, and the Universe.

CHRISTIAN (FEDERATED) MONARCHIES (RULE OF LAW KINGS) ARE THE OPTIMUM POLITICAL ORDER

    @Lord_Keynes2

Monarchs have a very bad record. They engage in war and conquest, acquire multi-ethnic empires, become cosmopolitans, and then it all falls apart: e.g., Ottoman empire, Russian empire, Austro-Hungarian empire, etc.

    Replying to @Lord_Keynes2

I notice you aren’t mentioning the german manorial states, the scandinavian, the french polish or italian….

    Replying to @Lord_Keynes2

Empires capture trade routes. Monarchies captured productive land. Both centralize rents in exchange for increasing local economic velocity. Study of european castle distribution illustrates rather easily the exceptional relationship between martial+judicial and std of living.

    Replying to @Lord_Keynes2

Ergo the issue is not empire nor monarchy, but ETHNICITY. ie: ethnocentrism is the optimum group evolutionary strategy, and trading ethnocentricity for rents at the cost of multicultural conflict is a short term win at long term cost.

    by Brandon Hayes

(I am speculating on another’s thoughts below)

Peterson sees the world as current as masculine order (benevolent patriarchy) with chaos (feminine [naturalistic intuition based] violence) on the horizon.

That I believe is too simplistic; due to the corruption and lies; it can’t be a benevolent patriarchy; it’s been subverted (some will call this toxic masculinity; some feminine subversion… ). It is over-ordered. We need the chaos; I think evidenced clearly enough by Trump (chaos) being able to intuit the proper way to aim the ship.

He sees the individual as paramount.

But, it’s the interplay between collectivism and individualism that is necessary; stable groups AND individuals in an upward spiral. An easily reiterating game. Social outliers survive not in resource scarce groups; as adherence to norms and competition are advantageous.

He is right about words creating habitable order from chaos; as he correctly adds the caveat TRUTHFUL SPEECH ONLY [the LOGOS; but, we have been trained/indoctrinated {and are biologically programmed} to lie].

I believe the blind spot [ and I truly believe it is a blind spot and if discussed with say; Curt or Bill he’d see clear evidence and come around on tactics and strategy (I see reasonable pragmatism)] is collective strategies (group level strategies; due to the focus on the individual [which he has “solved” with self-authoring] psychology is a serious strength of Peterson) AND violence.

He has a logical stream that takes violence off the table (never accounts for it). If he is to reground in group strategy (group sovereignty being the only thing to uphold person sovereignty). This would be “good,” “moral,” “forward thinking,” etc. IF AND ONLY IF all of the competition at the group level took violence (including lying) off the table. AND by demonstration they have NOT!

Pre-planned violence is NOT chaos (not feminine; not intuitive nature reactionary based); war is NOT chaos it is order.

He’s white collar solving a blue collar problem.
