Yes. But the context is probably being lost because this is twitter: Math is a grammar(sublanguage of a paradigm and logic). All grammars rely on continuous recursive disambiguation. All grammars are subject to grammatical error. math, a gold standard, has many & Philosophy more.

So effectively we are not using notation for what it is we’re describing and measuring, and we have to compensate with ‘magic words’ to transform easily factorable math into counts, measures, and directions.

@milordog1 It ‘should’ be -1 for consistency. And the idea of ‘complex, rational, and irrational numbers’, are grammatical tricks that like the verb to-be in english obscures causality. Arithmetic(counting), math(ratios), geometry(space) are different grammars.
