Yes, This is my understanding. China is to the chinese empire as DC/NYC/LA are to America, and as france, germany, and russia want to be to europe. all the great continental civilizations are struggling with this problem of needing a core state with satellites. I don’t think china can do so over time. And tat is the point of both mao and the communist party: to prevent the Nine Nations of China, just like DC/NY/LA will try to prevent the Nine Nations of north america, and why France/Brussels will try to prevent the twenty-odd nations of europe.

@EricRWeinstein The only organizations that ever prevent calcification are the pre-clinton military, pre-1960 judicial common law, and post 1970 surgical, for the simple reason that people suffer and die if one err’s. European civ’s law and science are an application of military epistemology.
