Two books, a thriving business in what most of us would call something between education, mentoring, and therapy – but the industry uses the term ‘coaching’.

I’m a big fan of continuing education, mentoring, coaching, and yes, therapy because we live in a world with very poor feedback loops and sometimes we can use help in achieving our fullest human potential.

‘Assisted self improvement’ is not only valuable but for many of us necessary, to compensate for the poor quality of present education, propaganda, destructive norms, and generally challenging environment.

    Noah’s the real thing.
I can testify to it from experience.

    Cheers

If someone like Martin bothers to even invest a moment in you then you should perhaps seek to understand rather than disagree.

As for your part, in your questions and criticisms, you are confusing and coflating (a) intelligence, (b) sex differences in cognition, and (c) genetic and cultural differences in cognition as expression of variations on the distribution of sex differences in cognition (d) cultural group strategies, metaphysical presumptions, the paradigm, vocabulary and logic of intergenerational persistence of their strategies, and the methods of persuasion and deceit that result, as well as the occupational biases that result, and the means of conflict, crime, sedition, treason, and warfare that results. (e) the current conflict as the result of that a,b,c,d sequence, caused the the entry of women into economy and polity, and the introgression of jewish pseudoscientific and sophomoric thought into the west at the same time, combined with our lack of understanding (until now) that jewish (semitic) civilization’s group evolutionary strategy and means of intergenerational transfer, including means of persuasion coercion and deciet, relies on the female method of seduction and deception and baiting into hazard the way the west relies on truth and reciprocity as a male expression.

Martin can, if he wishes, explain all of this, but he is most likely trying to invest as little time as possible in you (as I would) given that you are not demonstrated knowledge, competency or intellectual honesty – because if you were he would likely invest in you because he has a multi-year reputation of doing so and educating dozens if not hundreds.

    Cheers

The two most important people in the public sphere are doctors (medical PhD’s) and educators. So why the high standard and compensation for doctors, and why the low compensation high benefits and absurd protections for teachers who are from the bottom of every graduating class?

  • WAS THE CHURCH ANTI-SCIENCE? YES BUT ONLY SELECTIVELY: THEY WERE AGAINST LITERAC

WAS THE CHURCH ANTI-SCIENCE? YES BUT ONLY SELECTIVELY: THEY WERE AGAINST LITERACY AND INDEPENDENT THOUGHT IN THE LAITY.
It was all well and good if science (natural philosophy as they understood it) was produced and captured by the church whose members feared for their livelihood and often their lives if they contradicted the faith. And outside of the church’s political influence, the europen home was still a religion of the hearth(pagan) – the church participants then were similar in status to the woke bureaucracy today – in fact almost identical. So the state wias still military, technological, and legalistic in operation with the church responsible for ‘the little people’ – more so in western europe and less so in eastern.

    So:
    (a) A common mistake: the Church was captured by the aristocracy (second and third sons under primogeniture) as a land-holding corporation for each local manor – and the church, as an extension of the manor, desired an ignorant, pliable, and cheaply governable labor force (peasantry).
One of the reasons the Byzantines organzied and forced christianity on the west, and prevented the restoration of the aristocracy and destroyed the arts, letters, institutions, schools, and killed or outcast the philosophers, was because Rome and Constantinople had lacked the population to administer and enforce rule of law (truth) and had learned from the middle east that while the aristocracy could rely on reason and empiricism, the dumb ignorant underclasses of the middle east were (are) intellectually incompetent for anything OTHER than superstition and mythology (lies). (European IQ ~100, and Semitic IQ ~84, meaning more than half of the middle eastern population the byzantines were governing, and only about 15% of europeans were that dumb).

    (b) Ergo the church’s ambition was rule and control by maintaining popular ignorance. So the only anti-science they demonstrated was whenever it challenged church dogma or authority sufficiently to threaten to disempower them.
This is why religion rapidly collapsed among the literate after the invention of the printing press, and why luther was so determined to give people a bible in their own language and to spread literacy – to end the corruption of the church that held the people in virtual serfdom (half of the land in europe was under the church).
We can’t often imagine that Rome had faced a labor shortage, ad upon the fall of the roman state, and the loss of the legions, that meant feudalism(self-defense by alliances of warrior landlords) was the only possible means of maintaining any economic survival.

Economics = Incentives. Writen prose is just the excuses we tell to justify what we’re doing about it. That’s history. And that’s why historical explanation was difficult before we began to understand economics. It’s obvious why empiricism, enlightenment, economic productivity, legal precision and testimony, resulted in histories we now understand were fairly accurate representations in at least the pre-war period. And slightly better now, with Yuval harari and Howard Zin the laggarts. 😉

    FOUNDATIONS OF CONSCIOUSNESS SERIES
    (Added another video)
A couple of years ago I started producing a series of videos from the basic nervous system through to consciousness. I’d forgotten to publish this one on spaces and places (our sixth sense), and I’ve also recorded the Hippocampal region (where we create episodes and auto-associations, and predictions – where the magic happens).

I’m not thrilled with the recording quality because I was in ‘constrained’ circumstances taking care of an elderly parent and recording in an auditorium. That said, I’ve written most of the content for everything through the circuits of the brain and yes, the experience of qualia and consciousness.

My intention was to demystify (end the philosophical sophistry and pseudoscience) and explain with relative clarity how simple the brain, mind, and consciousness really is, despite its massive parallelism. And it really is quite simple. If it wasn’t, then flip-book animations wouldn’t work. 😉

These videos were the original first course of the Foundations (The Work). But we found we needed to start with a much simpler starting place. So we switched to the discussion of how to present the content, and eventually (almost two years ago) decided to use the first principles, despite my original desire to start with the brain, the logic, then grammars, then the first principles (scientific laws).

There are content creators today who are doing similar work even if less coherent in explaining the functions of the brain as an ‘operating system we experience’.

But this will get the point across for those who are interested.

I will most likely have to re-record the whole series at some point and have someone increase the production quality – when I have the time, which I rarely have.

For now we are working on the first book and the constitution. From there we will have the foundations to work on the rest of the books and the lessons. for them. But again, we are effectively trying to produce a four year program in multiple disciplines with a tiny team and it’s not easy. Ask anyone who has produced college courseware for stem.

INTERNATIONAL READERS – USE YOUR NATIVE LANGUAGE
Facebook had a much broader user base and international reach than twitter. So I could speak with more people from more countries with more languages more frequently.
Ask questions or respond in your own language. Or don’t feel bad about your use of English.
I can respond in most languages though I have trouble with some Asian languages and Arabic because the terms and concepts don’t translate well (and in some cases don’t exist.)
I have studied Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Russian but only for a year or two each, and a semester each of Chinese and Japanese. And I’m equally incompetent at speaking each. 😉 But I can generally ‘think like you do’ to some degree, and Google translate, and the new AI’s have made it terribly easy to ‘get the vocabular and grammar about right’ if you pick the right (simple) words..
I’ve written contracts in most of these languages using the two-column – parallel paragraph method. It’s not that hard. 😉
