So, once you can climb that ladder – a ladder that is very similar to learning a programming language and a large scale business application and its datatypes, you can completely understand P-logic, vocabulary, grammar, and law – which is the logic of testimony about the world.

@hoeberian And subsequently, once you can write operationally, the next challenge of writing causal explanations in first principles. And once you can do that, the next challenge is testing for reciprocity and testimony (morality and truth) in display word and deed. Next, is Authoring Laws.

Now, anyone who’s learned to speak colloquial English has had some challenges learning to speak grammatically correctly; more so learning to write clearly and grammatically correctly. And operational prose evolved from work on writing clearly. So P is another level of CHALLENGE.

@hoeberian But again, P-logic, vocabulary, grammar, and law is much like geometry, in that you have to construct statements sentences and arguments as a sequence of possible operations – not use whatever term you’re most familiar with. And it exposes whether you know what you think you do.

True. But, it turns out (strangely enough) that memorizing tends to facilitate understanding – even if all it achieves is knowing such a thing exists, so that we can ask others to explain it to us on our terms,as we need it. A framework for fitting puzzle pieces as we need them.

@Communism_Kills (AR: IMO: Only do interviews if they tell you the subject and what questions they’re going to ask in advance. Write out what you think good answers will be. Read them over a few times. Then Get comfortable saying “i don’t have any insight or opinino on that yet’ or “there is nothing to be gained from discussing that subject” if you aren’t prepared for the question. Get even more comfortable attacking the interviewer for asking rude questions. )
