The capitalism vs socialism dichotomy is an Abrahamic deception that implies there is any alternative to a mixed economy – that there ever was or will be. If instead of philosophical terms, we use scientific terms, we discover that the question is one of rule of law by the natural law of reciprocity that our ancestors practiced for millennia or rule by man that every state has sought to bring into being by one trope or artifice or another. If one practices rule of law of reciprocity then you obtain moral markets that include moral capitalists in the sense that moral means reciprocal (non-parasitic). If one practices positive law and capitalism one obtains immoral markets that produce a parasitic global cast that serves as states within states and states across states at the expense of the most developed peoples. If one practices socialism (communism is no more possible than anarchism) then that’s rule by man and not markets and not law. That generates demand for corruption and black markets and low returns on capital. But this triangulation implies that any given political order is stable. Instead, there are times of war and scarcity (total war, Fascism), times of peace and prosperity (rule of law, markets), and there are times of windfalls (redistribution, socialism), and any and all polities must remain sufficiently anti-fragile, with sufficient free capital (inefficiency) such that e can adapt to any condition on the spectrum. The government that achieves this end is rule of law of natural law, monarchy as a judge of last resort (Elizabeth II) a professional cabinet, a set of ‘houses’ of the ‘jury’ with veto power, and the intergenerational family as the subject of all policy. This government can adapt to conditions of war, going concern, and prosperity, without institutionalizing a monopoly method of organization that CANNOT adapt to changes.
