OK. Visit Appalachia, Mississippi and Alabama, or Baltimore, or Oakland, or Detroit, or vast portions of Los Angeles or the north end of Hartford, or any of hundreds of SH*THOLE cities in the USA. Russia is eleven time zones, with 140M people and an economy the size of Texas, where the maximum profits are extracted by the FSB and the oligarchs (gangsters) appointed to manage them, with a population that has been through perpetual serfdom, the world wars, the soviet catastrophe and collapse, the nineties tragedy, the present crisis, and they have won most wars in their history by throwing vast numbers of peasants and overwhelming by sheer numbers.
Am I pissed at their absurdity? Sure. Would I rather live with Ukrainians as I have? Absolutely. Is it nearly impossible to buy a company in Russia because of the corruption and double sets of books, yet as easy as the USA to start and build one in Ukraine? Sure. But I consider Russian friends in the US and Russia some of my best friends and most moral people with most realistic expectations of mankind, and some of the most solid marriages and families I know of. Is that everyone in Russia? Absolutely not. Is it the majority? I dunno. I do know that if I am kind and respectful that life there for me and my friends in the financial sector has been exceptional.

I’m not burning the russian people for the fact that they are traumatized and propagandized by a mafia state that continues the long tradition of russia’s governance as a mafia state.

There is no reason we cannot ‘fix’ both russia, ukraine, belarus, Moldova, and the entirety of the west. But it’s going to be very difficult with that nitwit putin in the big chair hoping against hope that the west will run out of patience before russia runs out of living bodies, arms, and money. When we also have that equally ridiculous Xi in the big chair in china, trying to preserve their mafia state as well, despite that china’s population is cratering like the end of the dinosaurs.

I had minor involvement but the US/UA strategy has been from the beginning to exhaust russia, drive them out, and cause ‘reform’. (We are not allowed to use the term regime-change. Even though that’s what we are trying to accomplish.)

Yes, in fact, he’s publicly said this numerous times.
While it’s just an excuse to help Russia survive demographic and economic collapse because the optimum agrarian, manufacturing and transportation region is Ukraine, in contrast of the low productivity of the vast narrow low yield Russian steppe.
Go ahead look it up. He uses the term liberalism but what he means is woke.

It’s always fascinating to me that numbskulls question others from their position of near universal ignorance. Most nitwits merely respond from moral intuition, not from reason at all.

    Rudyard’s correct (as usual).

Think, instead of linearly, in cycles of opportunity and exhaustion (just like the market), with creating ups and downs, and if we’re lucky at least some progress.

Great example. A video I shared today, shows the research on the genetics across the rise and fale of the Roman empire. So genetic capital was built, social, knowledge, technical, political, and military capital built, then the accumulated capital was consumed.

Including the genes – they went up by 2SD in the period that made the gains possible, they retreated by 2/3 from the dysgenia (hyperconsumption, exhaustion) that resulted from roman expansion.

If Lynn was correct and it seems he has been, we are crashing the genetics, social capital, knowledge capital, political capital, technical and military capital by burning through it – and burning through it apparently by the politically unpallatable topic of the result sof the introduction of women into the voting poool, the pill, the end of responsibility for interference in mariage, and the lagging of our laws to protect against female antistocial-antipolitical behavior as thoroughly as we have male.

    (9/11 Memory)
It was early morning on the west coast. I was in my living room. In a big fluffy terrycloth robe. Drinking coffee. We’d bought a company in June, and were trying to return it to profitability. My sister called from the east coast and told me to turn on the television sometime after the first plane hit.

    That’s how I discovered 9/11.

I had a speech to give the next day at the Hilton. It was surreal. Everyone was in a fog. And I was thinking that my job of salvaging this biz was going to be much harder. It was. It was horrible. But we prevailed. And we Built a 100M biz out of the remnants of it.

Personally, at the time, I thought the country handled it well, by coming together.

But it didn’t last. And the country (federation) has continued it’s division in to feminine irresponsible left and masculine responsible right bringing about ourselves what the attackers failed to achieve.

At this point more than half of both parties are conflident we need to split – though my work is in devolution to the states preserving the strategic value of the continent, while providing for traditional continental local social culture, as the founders intended.

And as usual, over time, conservatives are right about everything. And in time libertarians are right about everything. But unfortunately the left continues to be wrong about everything other than complaint over the stait of their affairs.

Unfortunately we learn slowly, adapt slowly, and in many cases, fail to correct quickly enough to preserve our advantages.
