    Reciprocity is the only rational, ethical, moral, and evolutionarily possible, means of cooperation over the long term. Where reciprocity refers to productive, fully informed, warrantied, voluntary exchange, free of imposition of costs upon the investments of others by externality. The more reciprocity, the faster cooperation, the greater the production, the more time we compress through cooperative production, the cheaper is every calorie we need not expend, and every calorie we consume. In other words, we make everything cheaper by removing obstacles to cooperation. This form of reasoning is called ‘via-negativa’, and is the same reasoning common law of tort. But the opposite of justificationism (excuse making). That is contrary to all human intuition, but it how science works: that which is false or ungood, is certain, but that which is not false and not bad, is just preference.

The problem with credit scores is not that they are incorrect, but that the financial system is organized to create moral hazards. Today we have criminal, civil-legal, credit, tax, property title, voting, education, and income scores. And now we’ve added google and social media ‘scores’. We create records everywhere. And we have no ‘right to be forgotten’ that the europeans do.

    @curtdoolittle I feared you may have taken my reference of Indios as moralizing on their behalf. I wasn’t. I was merely trying to see how you’d apply your argument in a historical context, where, I hoped, you’d be able to demonstrate the difference between “discretion” & Natural law when….

    well thats not logical since right only carries meaning in cooperation. outside it has none. its just utility and preference. my point is that one cannot possess competitive violence without the wealth to acquire martial advantage. you can raid to that point but aftermust rule.

    @curtdoolittle I submit to that fact, probably more than you would, which is why I go further & say that might is always & everywhere right. I mean…if we operationalized “might”, in the modern context, it would be impossible to produce w/o superior genetic, institutional & cultural capital
