We are the Jones Generation that ran away from boomers (too stupid for computers) with desktop tech, cocaine, under Star Wars, Alien, Indiana Jones, Neuromancer, Snow Crash, and the movie Wall Street and fear of the Oil Crisis, and the REAGAN revolution, and NOT the BOOMER generation that ran with lsd, pot, beatles and stones, rock music, woodstock, hippies, wide bottom jeans, postwar optimism, and social justice, fearing of or support of the ‘black’ civil rights revolution.

The french and church (authoritarian submission) or the anglo saxon and Law (contractualism?) The vikings (and normans) were responsible for the preservation of rights of englishmen (contractualism). WHICH TRADITION? French, Catholic, Authoritarian that ended in the french revolution and the murder of the aristocracy, or the Anglo Saxon, Protestant, Contractualism that we succeeded with until invaded by socialists (jews and catholics) and women’s entry into the work and voting pools.

    Most of the time, a consulting company acts as an agent that is outside of the political process, so yes. Conversely, almost universally, the upper 1/2 of any consulting organization is far better than the upper 1% of any department they work for. The reason is simple: all companies that hire consultants within a 3 to 5 year window, are solving the same problems in all their customers within different political and incentive structures – and so none of the problems are ever difficult – only getting them done in the political structure of the organization. The problem is simple economics: people in companies invest in what they do, and change, success, or falure, threaten those investments (their property). A good consultant discovers these investments and promotes them and illustrates how they contributed to the current success. Unfortunately for example, most tech innovation other than improving user interface workflow tends to be a waste of money and all strategy and marketing and strategic consulting is just a way of circumventing a management organization malinvested in a prior.

That’s more than either the christianization of rome 9%, or the nazis in germany 7% or the Bolsheviks in Russia ~3%. I always thought that the “Democratic” ideal confused people. A society survives by the smallest number of men willing and able to engage in civil war to end it.Usually takes only 1-3% of the male population. There are 500% more than necessary. (And they have 80% of the weapons.)
