Very interesting difference between western ‘technology’ (magic, supernormal) where man seeks control of nature, and middle eastern ‘prayer, ritual’ (occult, supernatural) where a higher power is in control of nature, and sinic civ where man seeks harmony with nature (natural, normal). What do these ideas reflect the metaphysics of? Warriors, Peasants, and Slaves.

Small things in large numbers over long periods produce vast differences.

Europeans chose technology as power over man, beast, nature … and the gods.

Faustian man and the transcendence of man into the gods he imagined – to end their capriciousness. 😉

You ever notice that the reason Christians (and Muslims) fear the restoration of classical civilization’s aristocracy, heroism, intelligence, cunning, and pursuit of excellence – especially the ambition of man to displace or at least compete with those petulant undeserving gods -… https://twitter.com/curtdoolittle/status/1634936621513551874

    True.
But, why are we the victims of propaganda? Because people who set out do undermine our civilization with intent and design succeeded? Or are we to blame for letting them do so because of our Christian tolerance?

I always blame the person in the mirror.
    We let it happen.
    Because we didn’t stop it.
Now we have to stop it.
And stop it when it’s far harder more costly, and requires the labor of reconstruction to restore it.

I kinda like ‘restoration of old construction’ and it’s just a matter of getting enough people together that. ‘many hands make light work’ of it. 😉

    CURT: “DEMOCRACY IN INDIA?”

I’m not quite sure what you’re asking by ‘how democracy works in India?”

If you want a general answer as to why indians ‘get along’ its that Hindu civilization and ‘religion’ is extremely plastic with clear duties responsibilities and such (like a social army almost) and it’s been that way so long, and has survived so many attempts by invaders to change it,that it’s just durable.,

It’s also a ‘nice’ religion. Really. SOmewhat to the military and strategic disadvantage of indians.

India is an old civilization but a relatively new country, and as a country it faces the problem of scale. It needs to ‘break up’ in to a federation with more local autonomy. But it can’t until corruption is suppressed, and the Hindu-islam problem is solved.

Of late, India is doing much better economically, but it is returning to relative autocracy (by western standards, not necessarily true).

The ‘truthful’ answer is that Islam has been and remains a threat to India, so the government is doubling down on religiosity in order to gradually suppress Islam and the threat of Islam to any and all civilized peoples.

So, even with that question, India like Islam, faces the problem that as a new country, the corruption created by both their soviet-era, and post-soviet liberal era, have led to a sufficient loss of faith in government, that they are backsliding into religiosity.

IMO India will be fine. But they must do whatever possible to create a Hindu civilization state that gradually eliminates Islam so that the jewish/woke-cult vs europeans that crushes political systems is not replicated in india.

I have extraordinary faith in Africa for reasons you’d find odd. But assuming it’s possible for subsaharans to resist Islamism, Africans have ambition. And also something unintuitive: there is value in not having a history of ‘bad ideas’ you’re trying to restore, rather than create new ideas and a new future that DOES work. 😉 China, India, Islam have histories of bad ideas that they want to return to when facing a challenge. Africa has no history of bad ideas. It gets to choose which good ideas it wants.

    The Faustian Spirit:

–“Thou shalt not rest or be content, no matter what thy accomplishments. Thou must strive all the days of thy life. Thou must discover all things, know all things, master all things.”–

To rule ourselves, nature, …. and the gods by discovery innovation, adaption, and continuous relentless evolution. (Or, what we call ‘the OODA Loop’.)

    Why?

“To transcend man into the gods we imagine.”
