People start with the assumption that the principle method of inquiry is mathematics. But mathematics isn’t causal. Algorithms are. Mathematics describes constant relations. That’s all. The value in mathematics is in narrowing the search for that first set of operations, and all the operations that result from that first set, and generation after generation from atoms to sentience.

Well, you just don’t grasp yet, that the discipline we call computer science is more generally the logic of operations, and is superior to mathematics in that it is causal and mathematics is merely descriptive.

HOW IS THIS NOT AN ATTEMPT AT DECEPTION?

    100% of people die.

There are four causes of death.

    1 – Biological Failure, (UNAVOIDABLE)

    2 – Biological self abuse ( SELF NEGLIGENCE )

3 – Accident, and (UNINTENTIONAL, OR NEGLIGENT )

4 – Murder and Terrorism (INTENTIONAL)

Everyone eventually dies of an illness (Biological Failure), ergo, that leaves us with Accidents and Murder.

Accidents are unpreventable by the individual, although we have dramatically reduced accidents through standards, legislative regulation, insurance regulation, and training. That leaves us with murder and terrorism.

Of Murder, nearly all murders occur via known relationship or relative, and are avoidable, and we spend vast resources on legislation, regulation, insurance, and policing to prevent them.

Terrorism is INTENTIONAL, is UNAVOIDABLE, is NON NEGLIGENT, yet it is PERFECTLY REGULATABLE by eliminating all individuals who demonstrate any affiliation with the organizations or clans that commit terrorism.

Why is it then that we do not act on the most preventable of methods of death?

( Thinking about how the universe, and the structure of the universe isn’t something ‘out there’ bigger than we are and imperceptible to us, or here, in our solids, liquids, gasses, plasmas and spaces that is perceptible to us. And that it’s just a vast web of these very small geometric phenomenon that through attraction and resistance create spaces of different sizes with different fields, and that its all winking and twinking and twirling and spinning and that …. and I’t just. I just dont’ wanna go there. I mean, although, the fact that everything is connected by fields within fields, is sort of beautiful and in some way I feel the universe is less alien, that does not make me feel any better given how hostile the universe is to us, and how hard we must work to make spaces for ourselves, that we can survive within. And our rather short experience as creatures of reason, capable of transforming this world, is amounts to nothing in the tempo of the universe.)

NATURAL LAW IS DESCRIPTIVE NOT NORMATIVE

—Natural law dictates what WILL happen, not what should or ought to happen. Natural law says, “You will respect reciprocity or bad things will happen to you.” This is no different than saying, “you will respect gravity or bad things will happen to you.” There is no ought in either case. It’s just a description not a proposition. —Jonathan Black

Conservatives use Hyperbole so frequently because it assists in the illustration of the question ‘what happens if everyone did this, and what are th long term consequence?’ which is the first principle of conservative thought. Hyperbole allows us to use common language to very simply ask this low time preference question.

I don’t need to cite others. You need to refute that argument by providing an alternative hypothesis as the origin of their ‘assumption’.
