Girls need to be taught agency more so than boys. Boys keep each other in check. No one keeps girls and women in check any longer. They’re all effectively ‘crazy’.

  • One of the best reasons to learn how to use weapons is the development of agency

One of the best reasons to learn how to use weapons is the development of agency. Because, you can get hurt, die, or kill someone if you lack agency.

I know, the ‘big relentless machine’ in my head (the autistic urge for order in all things) gets a ‘rest’ when I am using weapons, for the simple reason ‘it’ is more concerned about not getting hurt by the weapons than it is about anything else. So I find working with weapons increases my agency. It gives me peace of mind: a sense of ‘calm’.

This is the same effect that thrill seekers get by taking high risks.

Everyone resists disruption of their status hierarchy. It’s our most unconsciously valued possession. That said, some of us actively seek to disrupt that status hierarchy and climb it (westerners) and some do nothing but reinforce verticality(chinese) and some the bottom(Islam).

Social Science:1) That which can be explained by incompetence need not be attributed to malice. 2) That which an be explained by signaling, need not be attributed to honesty. 3) That which can be explained by self interest, need not be attributed to morality. Man acts rationally.

  • —“Do you think that IQ can be increased and is it important?”—

—“As a highly qualified and intelligent person, do you think that IQ can be increased and is it important?”— Short answer “No”. There is zero evidence that IQ can be increased and all evidence suggest it cannot, and it cannot because the seven or so factors that contribute to producing intelligence are genetically and developmentally determined. HOWEVER, since intelligence largely provides an advantage in speed of accumulating knowledge, one can combine READING HISTORY, ECONOMICS and SCIENCE to improve your general knowledge. General knowledge is the only substitute for intelligence. General knowledge of the general rules of the universe that science has taught us provides us with an unconscious understanding of how cause and effect are related at all scales. And economics and physics teach us that ‘nothing is free’. In other words, benefit from the hard work of others in digesting the universe for you and then reading and understanding their words. Is it important? The question is, you have a finite amount of life to spend. Do you need to spend it this way in order to improve some aspect of your life?

Michelle, just as Nielsen taught us during the tampering era, reporting on shootings and bombings only serves to increase shootings and bombings. Americans are terribly lonely and alienated people, and desperate cries for attention and agency will continue to escalate.
