Southwestern ct and most of jersey are suburbs of ny. most of the rest of CT and all of RI are a suburbs of boston…. CT lost out. Boston got MIT, and Hartford put the university in Storrs instead of bulldozing the north end.

@mattsko @simongerman600 This map shows that: sw CT is in dark blue with NYC. And sitting here in CT at the moment it’s rather obvious. Worse, the 91-95 corridor is largely post-soviety-style slums and the rural areas are closer in character to western mass, nh, me.

@simongerman600 A lot of New Englanders think that most of Connecticut is really in the NYC region.

(I make mistakes like anyone, but I don’t make errors, particularly of this magnitude. it’s my job. I have all of you to compensate for. 😉 And if you learned Propertarianism you wouldn’t make them any longer either – if you could tolerate that much truth. Some people can’t.)

@Catholic76 @StefanMolyneux It is more correct to say that we need mindfulness at personal, interpersonal, social, and political scales. There are many ways of producing mindfulness. Abrahamic deceit just happens to be the very worst of them.

@Catholic76 @StefanMolyneux … I spent more than four years working on religion and it is THE hard problem of social science precisely for the reasons that I’m counter-signaling your attempts at conflationary justification -even though you don’t understand what you’re doing (a side effect of abrahamism).

@Catholic76 @StefanMolyneux So, when Stefan says we need ‘religions’ that is true, but without enumerating what is necessary and good from what is unnecessary and bad, we do not know what constitutes a religion that is good and one that is bad. …

The reason is the west and far east were homogenous polities, and the middle east wasn’t. The west was good farmland but distributed. The center and far east were river civs that were easily controlled, and therefore taxes, and could support standing armies.

@Catholic76 @StefanMolyneux It’s not like this hasn’t been discussed for the past three centuries. It is very hard to study history and not see the post-ice-age pattern. the west ran with truth and tech, the middle east with supernaturalism and sophism, and the far east with ‘reasonableness’ and harmony.
