  • Solving the Google, Facebook Wikipedia Problem, and News in the 21st Century

    As far as I can tell, Google, Facebook, and Wikipedia hold the same conditional monopoly as did ATT and are just as important if not more so. Yet they are more insidious because while ATT controlled the quality and cost of our information distribution, by contrast, Google, Facebook, and Wikipedia control the quality and cost of the information itself, and that information is not subject to market forces. There is no reason that we cannot (a) heavily tax these institutions, (b) heavily regulate these institutions (c) heavily localize these institutions, and therefore (d) reduce social and political conflict conducted via these institutions.

    The minimum regulation I would place on them is that (a) no true statement can be suppressed. All non-false opinions, judgements, categorizations, can be expressed no matter how undesirable, (b) the ‘slider’ method to suppress or expose emotive language should be required. (c) individuals would have to declare their political biases, and then i) non-conforming information would be hidden from them, ii) they could not complain about non conforming that the sought out that conflicted with their profile, but instead, must fix their own profile, ii) and people cannot comment on that which is outside their profile. Facebook and Google can already do this. Easily. Wikipedia can do this, just as easily. So can newspapers. And the news producer that does so, rather than having an editorial board, will survive, the rest will not. So either you allow for both Aristocratic, nationalist, masculine, and eugenic people who look for rule of law and science, as WELL as communist, globalist, feminine, and dysgenic people who advocate social construction and pseudoscience or you are de facto creating an informational monopoly on a public commons. Between the axis of gender/class strategy, and the axis of empirical/supernatural method of argument you can define all of the major discourses in this world. Ergo, these companies can do this voluntarily or we will regulate them into utilities without the choice. WHY DON’T THEY?

  • The Objectively Best Strategy for Women and Possibly for Mankind.

    The objectively best strategy for a group is for women to seek reproduction with the most alpha male that they can, while at the same time trading sex and affection for reliable resources, status, and defense from non-alphas. And as far as I can tell, this is what they do. And they vary their strategy based upon the availability of men. Just as men vary their strategy based upon the availability of women.
     
    This would mean we would likely only see monogamy in upper classes, and that the upper classes would improve the mean and develop into a caste, and the lower classes would regress to the mean or below it.
     
    Unless of course it is nearly impossible to survive without the cooperation of members of a family – since a woman without a husband only places additional burden on the carrying capacity of her birth group.
     
    And this is what we see.
     
    The strategy for the aristocracy then should be to use their abilities to obtain positions of rule, and specialize in developing an aristocracy, and taxing the daylights out of the underclasses that do not imitate them, while accepting all those who can demonstrate membership in aristocracy through their actions. The problem is that we live too long.  If we died at 40 that would be one thing. But it is very hard to survive late in life on one’s personal productivity, in a world of increasing competitiveness given the rest of the world is no longer so intellectually, technologically, and institutionally far behind.  And so larger and larger households will likely continue to evolve, and mobility will decrease since the absurdities of the 20th century are no longer possible.
    The likely scenario is that the wealthy and able will insulate themselves behind automatons that do not have to be incentivized and the rest of mankind will revert to near animal barbarism. That is the next source of speciation that I see on the horizon.

Again, this tells us almost nothing about causality, only the description of a few values. Aristocratic Egalitarianism: (Duchesne) A descriptive title of a military and political strategy that states that distributed rule of peers can scale by opening the franchise for participation in rule, and its benefits (property and commissions/taxes) is open to all who will pay for it by demonstrating merit in family, industry, and war. (compare to the chinese method of entering the bureaucracy through examination and the consequences thereof) Aryanism as Markets for Rule: (Duchesne) A descriptive insight expanding upon Aristocratic Egalitarianism, by adding that aryanism spread through the construction of markets for polities. Sovereignty. (Doolittle) A causal description. Since by the demand for sovereignty one can only scale through aristocratic egalitarianism, and one is limited to the resolution of conflicts by natural law of reciprocity, meaning that all association, cooperation, reproduction, production, production of commons, and production of polities must be achieved through sovereign, productive, fully informed, warrantied, voluntary exchange, free of negative externality. And By the combination of sovereignty, natural law, markets in everything, the need to scale, the provision of scale through the selection for agency, and thereby the incremental domestication of man, transcends man through imitation of sovereignty, reward for agency and sovereignty, and the deprivation and diminution of those who lack agency, cannot act in sovereign fashion, and therefore cannot cooperate via markets, and therefore cannot participate in rule. And that is the CAUSE of western civilization. For a militia of voluntary warriors, desirous of preservation of their sovereignty, Sovereignty is the only political solution, leading to natural law and markets in everything.   • Religion Via-Negativa

    RELIGION VIA NEGATIVA So, when you say ‘religion’, we all need the services provided by ‘religion’ whether or not we consume them directly or indirectly through others. The question is whether we need supernaturalism, fictionalism, and outright falsehood. The answer is demonstrably no.

    On the other hand – more precisely – it means those of us with a great deal of agency do not need it, but desire it’s consequences. It means that those with the pretense of agency – the ‘atheists’ need a substitute for it, and have chosen pseudo-rationalism and pseudoscience. It means that some of us mouth pretense to it because we understand the value of religion but find the superstition, supernaturalism, fictionalism, and outright falsehood merely an absurd cost of obtaining the good produced by the rituals and discipline. And it means that those without the ability to trust those with more agency than they, need the superstition to sate their emotions, the supernaturalism to grant authority to the fictionalism, and the outright falsehood as a means of insulating themselves from suggestion by those who would sway them from the strategies embodied in all of the above. There is no reason we cannot cause the production of truthful religion by the suppression of fictional religion. History replaces myth. Fiction fictionalism. Science superstition.
