Ok, so your underlying argument is that man will not adapt to circumstances by adapting his moral intuition to reflect demands of the circumstances. And you’re somehow equating the current high returns for nerds with the problem of an underclass whose rate of learning is just too low and too costly for any of the work that can be done in an advanced society. In other words, the problem is the size of the underclass (unproductive classes), which in this period are different from past periods. Thirdly I think you are equating neoteny (domestication) with talents (eugenics). So I mean, I think what I hear is that I haven’t done a good enough (or simple enough) job explaining that set of causal axis for people unfamiiar with the science.
1. Neoteny (time to mature)
2. Ability (physical, emotional, intellectual)
3. Gender differences in ability and bias (dimorphic distribution)
4. Population Distribution of abilities (physical, emotional, intellectual) given the width of the std deviation of the population. (narrower is better, by pruning the bottom.)
History is pretty clear about the lord of the flies.
I am confident that man is amoral and will adapt his morality to circumstances – or at least enough of them will.
I don’t think ability is malleable, I think moral intuition is malleable.

@Clark_Kent@PoisonDartPepe The only possible answer yu would have is that people are just imitative monkeys, or semi domesticated animals and are unable to adapt their behavior by reason given the current condition rather than being robots.

@Clark_Kent @PoisonDartPepe You seem (oddly) to be of the opinion that despite all of human history, it is not possible for men to engage in production as well as police the commons and fight in war, as if people are widgets that cannot perform multiple functions – despite the historical record of the opposite. Markets are competitive. Politics is competitive. Policing is competitive. War is Competitive. Men can either compete and not parasitically depend upon others, or they cannot. That is evolution’s judgement.

@PoisonDartPepe Which is great. Because the whole point of liberalism (Or at least rule of law and markets) is to have frequent collapses and corrections so that we are constantly adapting, innovating, reorganizing, – a market. What they want is the opposite: continuous collapse without possible means of adaptation discovery. Eugenics is the outstanding issue, not capitalism or socialism (which is a false dichotomy). The question is rule of law and markets and eugenic evolution, and arbitrary rule by human beings and dysgenic devolution. People accept that the incentives of individual property (capitalism) work, but they don’t state why: not only does it cause us to seize opportunities to work in each other’s interests in order to survive, despite not liking or wanted to do what others want and need, but that the consequence is the continuous suppression of reproduction of those who empirically by the evidence cannot compete in the market because they, their families, their clans, their cultures and traditions are parasitic and dysgenic.

@rightbear@mwill Do you make sense to you? To someone else? To a therapist? To anyone? Because I’m not getting the sense of it.
And I don’t suffer fools lightly.

COMPETITION, COMPETITION EVERYWHERE, AND NOT AN INDEX (MEASUREMENT) TO BE FOUND.
You see, ‘you’ as in what you perceive as the self, are continually presented with competitions from which you (we) select winners. In the case of voluntary action, if you conceive of it, it’s already pre-processed and you simply ‘let the greyhound out of the box’ to act.
In every human era we develop models. we are still working with the physical machine model of the brain, the electrical model of thought, the justificationary model in logic – but these are not how anything in nature or man operates. Instead, nature uses competition. And everything we do is not maintained against a MEASUREMENT but against COMPETING forces. This is one of the most important lessons I’m trying to teach you in the Course “Foundations”. There is no memory of things, but of the prediction of things. There is no plan of action, but competing plans of action. There is no BASELINE or prescription for a human being – other than survival and reproduction. Our thoughts are not linear but infinitely recursive with a slow forgetting curve that we perceive as ‘us’ (our conscious self), that is maintained as a continuous circuit in very evident and obvious areas of the brain.
–“basal ganglia primarily in action selection – in helping to decide which of several possible behaviors to execute at any given time. In more specific terms, the basal ganglia’s primary function is likely to control and regulate activities of the motor and premotor cortical areas so that voluntary movements can be performed smoothly. Experimental studies show that the basal ganglia exert an inhibitory influence on a number of motor systems, and that a release of this inhibition permits a motor system to become active. The “behavior switching” that takes place within the basal ganglia is influenced by signals from many parts of the brain, including the prefrontal cortex, which plays a key role in executive functions.”—

@baerdric That’s a sophistry of ideal truths. Ideal truths are not resources available for action and apply to disputes over preference given low or no temporal demand. Action is a temporal demand. Market goods exist or not. Conflating an ideal intemporal good with a real temporal good is not a mistake it’s an act of fraud. I specialize in exposing, disambiguating, and defeating the abrahamic method of lying by the technique you are making use of. Don’t waste my time. You are using (a) pretense your opinion has value, or that your approval is meaningful as other than someone who will fight or not, and (b) pretense of knowledge of a good you have no knowledge of, properties to advance, or criticisms to levy, so straw men are straw men, and you’re insulting my intelligence and wasting my time and poisoning the well for others who are seeking actionable solutions to the problem of our age. So try the mirror of intellectual honesty and see what you might find there other than someone saying “i want to believe I am in control of myself, my life, my polity and my people’. Man up. Show up. Fight. We win. Massage your ego in private. Are we clear now? Good. Thanks.

@Disdemsdaily in a world of no solutions, the guy with a solution still reigns so to speak. So lets not pretend there is something out there.Or that anyone is even working on another solution. There isn’t. I wish there was. I’d prefer to make another fortune rather than spend my time on this…
