The team is working on FB style blocking and banning in Oversing today. Blocking is an individual thing but banning is managed by a configurable vote/based workflow. I havent figured out the weighting of votes yet but I assume it will be managed by your Karma level. In other words, the better your reputation the more influential your vote. Likewise a bunch of douchebags cant ban someone easily,

But for all intents and purposes you and your peers can effectively “fire” someone in Oversing by making it impossible to obtain work.

Anyway, they are using my account to test the feature and its giving me subconsious feelings of rejection every time, and elation when I am forgiven. 😉

So i guess it sorta works. 🙂

    PAINFULLY PROFOUND THOUGHT FOR TODAY.

Philosophers of science just got confused by their nascent mysticism.

Scientific search for theories is just free association. But their free association requires instrumentation of logical and mechanical and operational forms since they cannot perceive the imperceptible, unmeasureable and incalculable without such instrumentation.

Free association by way of instruments is still free association: creativity. Its just harder.

But association, analogy, and correspondence are not equal in empirical content to the empirical statement of causality. For that we require operations on order to construct proofs. Those proofs demonstrate that we have not erred by association, analogy, and correlation, and as such have found causality. As such we can make a truth claim.

A scientist, nor any theorist, is not bound by operational discovery. That would be uselessly limiting. Immoral even. But to make a truth claim he must seek empirical and therefore operational proof that he does not err by confusing causality with association, analogy nor correlation.

We need not understand all causes behind each measure (operation) only that such operation is both possible, extant, and reproducible.

This is, in much better terms, and terms bound by objective reality, what Kripke demonstrated in his rather cantorial proof of truth in language.

(Although I am not sure that anyone else had made that connection. I suspect not. I understood kripke’s argument in this manner when I first read it at an Iranian friend’s suggestion. But assumed I erred since my interpretation was unique. Even though I am pretty sure that he meant the same thing about reality that I read in him. )

( Does anyone know anything about shaking or trembling from heat? I can’t stop. Three minutes of activity or sun and I’m cooked. Pretty sure it’s the level of thyroid they’re giving me to suppress any chance of repeat illness. Started getting bad yesterday, but it’s become unbearable. Going to try to dramatically increase hydration today and see if that helps. Otherwise I’m a prisoner of air conditioning. )

Second strange male problem of the day.

I know this is Ukraine. But FFS, this is a family hotel. And the damned waitresses here look like strippers. I mean, they have these enormous platform heels, bikinis with sequins, and this pretend-skirt-thing. And they also have ‘that look’: they’re thin but the skin hangs because they haven’t any muscle under it. Like they spent their 20 year lives sitting on bar stools smoking and getting nourishment from coffee.

It’s freaking CREEPY. I am sitting in the bar where I get waited on by the men. Eek.

Do you know that in London every restaurant and shop plays music so loud that you want to leave? And here in the ukraine they play this ukrainian pop that’s really all polka-beat dance music.

Creepy. OK? It’s a 5 star hotel. But I don’t care how nice the hotel is. The music, the stripper-look-alikes and it’s just …. creepy. FFS.

(Ok. I’m not gonna get more work done today apparently.)

What pray tell, is the material difference, between individual anarchic males, and the male heads of noble families, each of whom are peers, not above the other, and cannot question that fact without pain of death?

    In every chapter I use:

    A Number (of the chapter)

An Image (a symbol – this is hard)

A Title (usually just a term)

A propertarian axis – almost poetic. (Aphoristic poetry perphaps?)

A quote (or poetic excerpt that conveys the simple meaning)

A Statement (an assertion in analytic language)

    An Argument. (the rational argument.)

And after that will follow historical examples (if I ever can get to that part, since it’s not really necessary. I might also just use mythological stories. That might be more meaningful.).

    Strange male problems.

I am sitting here by the pool trying to work, and this woman keeps standing next to me using both hands to squeeze her breasts together to get the water out of her swimsuit top – and getting me wet.

I dont mind the water. But every time she does it nine billion neurons in my brain fire a very primitive language and I forget what the heck I was thinking about.

    Sigh.
