THE ‘GOOD’ IN RELIGION IS THE CIVIC RITUAL. NOT THE CONTENT
There is nothing in the bible that made the church good. They could have read greek legends and done good with them. It’s the ritual that matters, not the content. What the church spread was literacy, and diplomacy, and eventually natural law. The rest was a bucket of catastrophic lies.

Great conversation with a career Judge from Boston, now retired. Thankfully a strict constructionist. Covered a broad range of topics.
Insight he gave me was that those who were in the military or had worldly experience prior to law school were more likely to use strict construction (conservative application of law) than those who were trained in law school right out of sheltered middle class lives (subjective “creative” interpretation of law).
Propertarianism will make legal construction as concrete as humanly possible with existing language.
He said I should teach.
Yeah. Well. Ya know. There are a lot of things I should do.
