THE HUMILITY OF REFERENCES TO THE GODS

When we say “the gods only know” we mean that we don’t know.

When we say, “the gods work in mysterious ways” we mean that there is much about life, the universe, and everything that is unfathomable; and always will be, to limited minds.

When we say “the gods sit in judgement of the righteous and unrighteous” we mean that consequences cannot be evaded; even if, at times, they may perhaps be shifted or deferred.

When we say “the gods command it” we mean that the divine commandments have withstood the test of time; unlike those who foolishly neglected, altered, or abridged them.

These are all useful heuristics for humility.

In contrast, the arrogance, hubris, and recklessness of the so-called “skeptic” can be nearly without limit.

WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT CHRISTIANS IN CHINA?

CHINESE police destroyed a church after dragging worshippers out of the building and beating them in the street.

    By Katie Mansfield

Violence broke out in Shanggiu in Henan province after 300 police officers and officials demolished the Shuangmiao Christian Church—which was under construction.

Officers dragged out around 40 Christians with one worshipper comparing the brutal scenes to the Japanese invasion of China during the Second World War, according to charity China Aid.

Eight Christians remain in custody following the incident amid a crackdown on churches by the communist regime.

During the demolition, officials beat dozens of church members, pushing them to the ground and twisting their hands

China Aid said: “During the demolition, officials beat dozens of church members, pushing them to the ground and twisting their hands.

“The church was completely razed, and a church member likened the scene to the Japanese invasion of China during World War II.

“Of the 40 Christians seized, eight are still in custody, and the cases of Shuangmiao Christian Church pastor Zhang Di and the church’s vice director, Lü Yuexia, were recently transferred to the Procuratorate, which will decide whether or not to formalise their arrest.”

The Chinese Communist Party has launched a major crackdown on religion

    Eight Christians remain in custody

The Supreme People’s Procuratorate is the highest agency in China responsible for prosecutions.

According to churchgoers Xi Jinping’s Communist Party ordered the church to be destroyed after branding the building an “illegal structure”.

Party officials were sent to the church to search the building and belongings of people on site.

China Aid said the party confiscated phones and other personal property, damaged closets, smashed offering boxes, and stole laptops, money, and jewellery.

The demolition came as row between the church and government escalated over allegations the church refused to pay a £450 arbitrary road usage fee.

Pastor Zhang Di was summoned for questioning last month and accused of assaulting police officers and attacking a village official.

Church leaders are urging the government to release the pastor and churchgoers. They are also calling for police linked to the investigation to be punished.

DE-CONFLATION OF PROPERTARIANISM INTO SEVEN THESES

Now, look, I know I’m more than a tad anachronistic. Because I do serious work, I do experimental work, I do promotion, and I happily participate in troll-guments. But that’s a luxury of not working in the Academy, and not needing anyone’s approval. I have luxuries that authors and academics dont – and I revel in them.

But Propertarianism is a bit confusing – or at least, following my work on propertarianism is somewhat confusing to newbies – because Propertarianism consists of very separate works.

    1) Acquisitionism (Psychology), Propertarianism (Sociology), Testimonialism (epistemology: the completion of the scientific method, to include psychology and sociology). This is a very hard-core, serious work that solves the outstanding problems in analytic philosophy and the sciences, thereby uniting philosophy and the sciences.

    2) Natural Law (Ethics, and Law)

It is possible to construct, strictly, with original intent, and strict textualism, from the first principle of reciprocity, all possible moral law, and to disallow judicial legislation from the bench, and much of judicial discretion, as our founders had originally intended so that the constitution could not be circumvented. THis requires propertarian and testimonial grammar, and produces the equivalent of software ‘functions’ for the production of contracts.

    3) Market Government (Politics)

A list of options by which different governments can be constructed, under a natural law of reciprocity, thereby ending the period of majoritarian tyranny via monopoly allocation of resources to preferred commons. And the devolution of the powers for normative commons and familial commons to the region (state) and locality (city). Chief differences include the assent of any contract of the commons that survives the criticism of natural law (shall-ascend), and the elimination of majority rule. As well as the elimination of political representatives (politicians).

    4) Anti-Marxism

The extension of fraud protection from products and services to information and public speech. The defunding of those devices by which the left has preyed upon our people, and the restoration of our sovereignty via that means.

    5) A New Constitution

The reformation of the american constitution in order to restore Anglo Saxon Contractualism, The Founder’s Attempt at a constitution of Natural Law.

    6) The Revolution

The strategy and tactics of revolution by which we can force the restoration of the constitution of natural law, and force the expansion of the constitution to require warranty of due diligence against fraud in matters of the commons from products, and services, to information, and speech.

    7) The Answer to the Question of Western Dominance in all fields. (Group Evolutionary Strategy) The answer is reducible to we invented and use truth as an heroic virtue despite the threat to the dominance hierarchy. From that one choice, all the rest of the west evolved.

So when you just ‘stop on by’ or are a newbie, it kind of takes a while to figure out both if I’m serious or experimenting, or playing, and which of the seven points I’m experimenting with.

If you understand testimonialism and operational grammar used testimonialism, you’ll see that when I construct arguments I am actually trying to construct proofs – and then by trying them over and over again, refining them until they’re both complete and comprehensible to ‘normal’ people. Or at least the best that I can do.

So I’m not ‘done’ with the seven different components of Propertarianism (i might never be). And when you participate in this online experiment, you’re watching a street vendor practice his craft – including the failures.

Hopefully you learn something wonderful. 😉
