    THE ANIMAL MAJORITY PROVIDES SURVIVAL BY INCREMENTAL GRACEFUL FAILURE

    The evolutionary reason some of us have agency and most of us do not, is because reason is subject to temporal failure, and information is subject to intertemporal failure, and instinct provides a very successful method of graceful failure.

    Meanwhile selection for success of those with agency allows others to adopt new knowledge and understanding by imitation without abandoning their dependence upon intuition.

    This is the same reason we still have cheaters. While cooperation is most beneficial under ordinary circumstances, cheating (immorality), and predation (violence), are extremely valuable methods of graceful failure.

    The animal majority is insurance in case we fail. But they are not to be taken seriously whatsoever.

    Speech provides the illusion that the rider controls the elephant, when in fact, there are very, very, few of us whose elephants correspond to reality, and as a consequence so do our riders. There is a reason that the animals do not argue rationally – because they lack agency, and because they lack agency, they are not in fact humans.

    Um… that’s not the case.

    It’s that single mothers are at much higher risk of unstable environments and higher risk of insecure (guilty) mother’s psychology affecting children negatively than single fathers for the simple reason that single fathers are more likely to cohabitate and produce a healthier environment lacking guilt, instability, and insecurity.

    Or conversely, that single mothers try too hard to control and influence their children at the expense of fathers who are high maintenance but produce healthier children even by dedicating far less attention to them.

    The fact single mothers produce the majority of problem adults doesn’t equal that the majority of single mothers produce problem adults.

    In other words, TWO PARENTS ARE BETTER THAN ONE.

    To answer the question: Yes, Westworld (Nolan and Joy) just pulled another “Lost”. In science fiction you only get one ‘gimme’. That’s the observation of Asimov and Clarke. And I’ve never seen it falsified. The episodes varied between overly concentrated and too calm, and overly dense and too disjointed to suspend disbelief. the heaven (door) and the indians jumping off the cliff was weak. the reversal of the two women was cunning. the closure with the man in black was … lame. It would have been better to have him discover he’d already been replaced successfully and be happy with his success at transformation. I bet I know why these failures too – Nolan handed over writing to Joy and she handed over direction to women. Men create models, women create experiences. And only models survive tests in reality. Single authors create worlds. Multiple authors violate them.

    ( Talking about the benefits of socialization while waiting in line for coffee… Trying to think. I bet I’ve spent almost as much time talking to Gates and Balmer waiting in line at Starbucks as I have in meetings with them … lol. Not true but seems like it. BTW: Satya is good, and I’ve only done one large deal with him and his people, but he’s certainly waaay better than Ballmer, but he’s not a competitive predator like Gates. I learned quite a bit from Gates really. Just by observation, and watching how he managed the company. Man after my own heart really. )
